Jones, Killies most dangerous player IMO, fizzes a shot across Fotheringham from just inside the Rangers box on their right hand side.
-
I didnt realise you were updating the thread also mate.
-
Rangers replace Holt with Barjonas on 76 mins
-
73 mins on the clock and the Killie subs seem to have reinvigorated their team. A throw in in line with the Rangers 18 yard box brings a necessary save out of Wes from the edge of the box.
-
68 mins Long ball over the top to Killies Jones cuts it back to Boyd but his return ball fineds Jones offside.
-
65 mins gone an industrious Killie earn themselves a corner but it comes to nothing.
-
Lots of Rangers pressure at this point Killie appear to have gone to a 8 man defence. Windass replaced by Nemane.
-
A fine interchange of passing between Tav and Jack down the right leads to a corner... John flights the ball to the near post Alves gets a header on target and it is turned wide second corner.
-
Tav hits side netting from wide on the left made a chance out of nothing.
-
I agree Boabie we should be playing 4-4-2 from the start... 7 mins played in the 2nd half Rangers have gone close a couple of times already one notable from Herrera others were scrappy if truth be told.
-
Game started slow but since we've gone to two upfront we've looked far more dangerous.

No I do't think that at all. If I did then the charge of 'Rangers statement is paranoid' by many journalists would have some degree of weight to it.However so far the only player cited for actions that happened on the park is Alves. I'm confused as to why a waist high challenge on Morelos went completely unpunished during the game, no foul, no card and apparently merits no examination by the CO. The challenge wasn't late, it wasn't a swing and a miss catching him on the follow through, like Garners last year... remember how much attention that got in the media? It was a deliberate waist height challenge taking a player out with no attempt to play the ball. According to Sutton it was a foul but that's kinda it as Morelos apparently goes down too easily. Why its not considered to be dangerous or even violent conduct because it was deliberate and should merit examination from the Co I have no idea. There were many, many more challenges and fouls in Sundays game that went unnoticed than there were that were noticed. Further to that its quite noticeable, commentary during games and the MSM, how Rangers players are expected to behave during games, if they don't they are cited by CO, while others are admonished. The issue I have with it is that Mr Mc Leans performance was one of incompetence bordering on negligence and as far as I'm concerned he should never referee another professional match again. Is it going to take a player from any team getting a head knock and collapsing on the pitch for the authorities to take action against this because if it is, I tell you right now, my heart goes out to the poor player and their family if that is the case. EDIT: Incidentally my opinion on the Morelos challenge which the referee clearly seen as he was looking at it as it happened was that he bottled it. He knew it was a foul knew if he stopped the game for it the Well player would have to go and so he bottled it. Do your job!

This mob are an absolute shambles.

It most certainly is now Bobbie and to be honest these are all hypothetical and dont really amount to a hill of beans until they are tested.

That would have been an interesting development wouldn't it?

There has always been the argument from FA clubs that we couldnt just go into the EPL and that we'd need to go through the leagues starting at some or other level. As far as I am aware there was nothing to stop us applying to the FA at that point. I'm sure, although I cant source it atm, that there is some sort of historical agreement where it is possible.
-
We should never have reapplied to the SFA when we were kicked out of the SPFL in the first place. There was no reason why we couldn't have applied to the FA at that point because we were effectively association less. The argument presented with respect to the we harm ourselves is bollocks. Its always been a bollocks argument.

I cant really complain about the 2 match suspension because he was due it. I am however at a loss as to why Bowman and other Motherwell players hasn't been brought to task for violent and extremely dangerous play. It makes very little sense to single out one team. What I said some time ago in another thread is really becoming evident that its not being hidden any longer... 'We wont be allowed to be competitive in this league'. Its looking more and more like its down to us the fans to make sure that does not go unchallenged.

What I thought he was saying was... its not enough to simply be at Rangers! Sure that's great as we are a massive club but that shouldn't be the end of it. Which to my mind suggested the players were simply content to be at a big club. He seemed to be saying that in itself was their sense of achievement and that they lacked further the drive and ambition to achieve higher goals and be champions at a big club.

Pedro wont go with a 4-2-3-1 at home to a defensive team set up to counter attack with a lone striker while parking the bus. Playing with two defensive midfielder would be futile he'll go with a 4-4-2 which most likely will include both Pena and Windass. Young McCrorie will come in for Cardoso and Alnwick will be replaced by Wes. I fully expect to steam roller Killie on Wednesday night by at least 3 or 4 goals and if the players are honest with themselves so should they. However if it does turn out to be a turgid difficult night with few goals in it then we'll know that the players are not responding to the manager and that will be pretty much that I'm afraid.
-
He's right we're still playing 70's football in this country and we'll continue to do that for the next 20-30 years.
-
I agree with Pedro re: four pillars and was going to comment with, 'its attitudes like this that has left Scottish football without a recognised world class player in over 30 years and inability to qualify for a international tournament in 20 odd years', on that twitter discussion you had the other day with the fella who said Rangers should retaliate on the field. I've got to be honest here Frankie he lost me a bit in his explanation with regards to the players. I got most of it but as I say he lost me a bit through it.

Morelos will score goals all day long when played in a two. its good for his development that he is learning to play as a lone striker but is no use to us in terms of goals return.
