Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020
Maxdazzy replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
In regards to Nicky Clark going out on loan to Hamilton, we should do it, I'd like to hang on to him as there is still potential there with him. If we bring in another striker let NK go to Hamilton and hope he gets some good form because next season I dont see us being able to keep playing Miller. -

There was a story on HITC that apparently the record ran saying that along with these four players Warburton wants one 'big' signing, someone with a proven track record and experience this window too. But at this time of the year things like this are said every couple of hours so need to wait and see what we get -

I was in the same boat as you on this matter until earlier this evening when one of the usual turds on BBC Sportsound raised the point that they may now be frozen out at Accrington and when we get them in June/July will not have played a competitive game in 6 or so months. Apparently this is something the manager there is willing to do, probably a tactic to try get a few more pieces of silver than the compensation they are due at the end of the season. Now I'm unsure. -

Sorry if this isnt the correct/most recent thread. Just started listening to this, think it's great ran through the episodes they have up on their youtube channel. Stew and Baz are both very funny and the way they have the show set up using the stats, running through each members opinions on the games and little stories from being at the game ect keeps it interesting and a very good listen Have to disagree with @pete about the swearing but that could be because I swear far too much myself. -

I'll have to admit I forgot about this or didnt even think about it. Do you think this current crop are capable of reaching the final? I'm confident we have what it takes to win the league we are in right now and do so comfortably. We could do with a defensive mid but not someone we need to go breaking the bank on, that was my point people are getting all bent out of shape at where we are getting players or the contracts they are on right now and ignoring that what he have is more than able of doing the job at hand. -

Yeah that's why they'd rather live in the south of England or Europe, because people love staring out their windows as its pisses rain and howls a gale all day everyday. Against a team who cannot compete in Europe, why would any player see this as a benefit for the betterment of their career? As much access as any other person in the civilised world right now, we wont be playing in Europe this season or next. -

No what's unacceptable would be throwing cash around to do all of next seasons business in the first week of January, having players who arent needed at the moment on higher wages being an unessential drain to club resources. We can and will win this league with this squad of players, we will then strengthen again in the summer. King says some weird things at times, he also said he'd spend all his kids inheritance. Do you think Hibs and Falkirk will hold on to their form and players and that we will lose this league because our current squad isnt up to the task? I dont understand the mad rush to waste money when it is not needed. Is this current squad playing at a level that would be deemed substandard dross? -

Warbs didnt say we would be challenging for the title next season. He said his goal is European football within 3 years. King said we should be challenging for the title next season, which really doesnt mean anything. It is hard to attract big players when we essentially have nothing to offer them, we want them to come play in a shit league with morons who want to try break skilled players ankles in the first 12 seconds of a game and receive no protection or help from officials while the media whoop and cheer these thugs. Warburton has made it clear he wants players for the future, ones that can play comfortably in Scotland and, if needed, be sold on for a profit to keep the club healthy. What do we sell these guy on, the potential of an old firm game? Yeah, that would entice any player to sign, playing against a mob who have embarrassed themselves in Europe at every turn. The standard in Scotland, at every level, is fucking shit. We cannot pay massive wages for players who do not want to be here or contend with the standard of football elsewhere. We are looking to build for the future. Be patient or be quiet. -

The mess up showed numerous players including Scot Allan and Sow, one of the people employed at Rangers put out a message on twitter that they had a database for every player they received stats for (over 300 players). However the Osman Sow rumour has been doing the rounds for a while now. -
Friday, 01 January 2016, 14:00 by Rangers Football Club Rangers International Football Club PLC (RIFC) is pleased to announce new loan facilities totalling £6.5m have been made available to the company over the past month. The facilities have been provided by existing lenders New Oasis Asset Limited (Dave King), Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor and by three new lenders, RIFC Director John Bennett and two additional Hong Kong based supporters, Barry Scott and Andy Ross. RIFC’s board is delighted to welcome the new lenders who, as long-standing supporters of the Club, fit exactly into the profile of investors that RIFC has encouraged during this ongoing rebuilding phase. The new funding has all been provided on the same basis as other recent loans to RIFC. The loans to RIFC were primarily utilised to fund repayment of the Sports Direct facility with the balance going towards the Group’s working capital requirements

So we are to dismiss his choice because it is something we ourselves wouldnt do, having known none of the facts as to why he chose not to move abroad? Seems completely sensible after all no footballer has ever turned down a move to a large club abroad to stay with smaller teams in their home country, to be with family and friends. -

It has nothing to do with people being offended. It's about marketability, they want the 'family' money and to turn sport into more of a spectacle/sideshow like the Americans have done with their sports. Nothing to do with hurt feelings. -
Because we just beat our closest rivals and are clear at the top again. I agree 100% that we should do away with the pressers. Very rarely is anything new said and a normal person would become frustrated by wasting their time repeatedly being forced into these situations, especially around the time when the media wanted nothing more than to provoke a reaction through constant probing about jobs down south. I dont understand the value to these.

When asked about players leaving he sort of danced around it but made it clear a couple of players who havent seen game time will be moving on. Two candidates would be Templeton and Cammy Bell
-
Stevie May just joined Preston and also said he has no intention of returning to Scotland, we're no signing him.
