FANTASTIC RANGERS Every one of those players (Morelos aside) deserves a round of applause for that amazing effort. Well done and thank you! -

Unjustified??? He kicked the ball away in anger. It's as clear a yellow card as you'll ever see. -

Furthermore, our players will have a disadvantage for Sunday after all the effort they are going to have to put in here. Morelos needs a good kicking. I hope the gaffer and the team give him pelters. He deserves it. -

Morelos is an idiot. He will win us games and points, but he's going to cost us a few too. It's only going to get worse because other players will just wind him up more. I can't believe it. This was comfortable and now it's looking like we will be lucky to go through now. -
Me too. I still can't get it. I've tried contacting their service line. Hopefully sorted soon.

Kent's persistent desire to cut in is only really a problem when he plays with Flanagan, because neither wants to cross from the byline. If Kent plays with Barisic , who obviously has a wicked cross, it could be very effective. -

When you read articles like this (and others from insightful authors), I really wonder if mainstream media looks at itself critically and wonders what it's purpose is. You would never ever get anything remotely insightful or interesting from any journo whether they be from the BBC or newspapers. If I was a sports writer I would be utterly embarassed and ashamed at the differential in value offered in comparison with these guys on the blogs who do it mostly for free. Excellent article, and very interesting. Great read! -

This is about to get messy for them. The funny thing is that some representatives from other political parties smell blood here and will continue with this until their perceived bias/corruption is exposed. I'm now not bothered how or why this is exposed, but I'm just so relieved to see it happen. This has gone on long enough. -

I can still remember some of my early visits to the dentist. It was terrifying. These days however, I'm quite relaxed and don't mind going. I can also remember how I felt the first time I started a new role at work. I was so nervous. These days however I can move to new organisations with very little concern. Thats the value of experience though isn't it. As time moves on you find ways to manage your anxieties and nerves. So why is it that my nerves this week are completely shredded?!? Is it because we are so concerned that our team may fail? I don't think so, because this team is more capable than those from the last few years. Is it because these games mean so much to us? Again I don't think so because all games against European opposition and Celtic are important. Could the reason for our collectve increase in anxiety be due to our expectation that this may actually be our time? I think we are all thinking along similar lines, that with a little bit of luck we could actually have a successful season, including a decent run in Europe. I'm trying to remember a time when I've been more nervous, and other than the end of the nine in a row season, and our UEFA final, I can't think of any time that I've felt like this about our team. 55 means more to me than any other achievement in the club's history. I think that's why we have built Sunday's game up so much in our heads. It's a sense that everything (including corruption, abuse, discrimination, bias) we've faced recently could all be worth it if we reach that magical league title again. Tonight however is our opportunity to ensure that this season is already regarded as successful. If we win tonight, we are guaranteed that our team next season will be further improved as a result of the increased prestige and funds coming to the club, and that finally the financial gap to Celtic begins to reduce. There's so much riding on tonight's game, and the weekend. This is what supporting our club is all about. This is the type of stage we've been desperate to return to. I feel it's our time. Rangers, please make it so. Let's go! -

I don't understand how anyone in football can seriously think that Jack isn't one of the top three Scottish midfielders at the moment. In my opinion, he and Armstrong are the standout performers in the middle of the park. I'm looking at most of the others and wondering what the selectors see in them. Having said that, the Scottish national team means nothing to me these days (which is sad) so they can continue to make bad footballing decisions for all I care. I looked at a tweet about the squad but I couldn't honestly tell you why the squad was put together. Is it qualifiers for something, or a friendly? I've no idea, and couldn't care less. -

I'm so pleased to see the pressure mount on these people that appear to be allowing their bias to unnecessarily damage our club. I can accept that many politicians may not support Rangers. I can even accept that they strongly favour or support other clubs. What I can't accept is their openly hypocritical actions and statements. The focus needs to be on this perceived corruption because it brings their entire party into question. Hopefully with the support from Club 1872 and opposition politicians (who obviously have an agenda), we can get some traction around this. I feel that the tweet about the loving Cup ceremony could be the thing that forces him to withdraw from this fight because if that gathers pace and exposure, it could seriously damage his longer term career aspirations. These people deserve all the negative exposure that comes their way. They've been caught out. Scumbags, the lot of them! -
They can't do that but there's nothing stopping bears congregating and having a few iPads with the game showing I suppose. It's great when all money goes to the club. I've said it a few times, but I've been really impressed with RTV and am so pleased that I subscribe to that alone, having cancelled all subscriptions to other providers. I'm not giving any money to any organisation that actively seeks to demonise my club. I only wish I could do the same to the BBC.

I know we agree on that of course, but the issue then becomes one of who to vote for. I suppose we could all vote for no party (as is my decision), but I'm still not sure it makes a difference, hence why I don't think it makes a difference if people vote for these people or not. I'm suspicious of most people that even want to be politicians. It's like admitting that you want a life of lies, corruption and back-stabbing. I can't think of a single politician I trust even in the slightest. -

Who should people vote for Gonzo? I'm just interested. Or is it just the SNP that has an anti Rangers agenda? -

Would we be delighted with a draw next Sunday?
Gaffer replied to weebluedevil's topic in Rangers Chat
How times have changed already. Last year I just wanted us to compete, regardless of the scoreline. I'd like to see us compete physically with them next weekend of course, but with the morale around the club at the moment, I just can't see me being delighted with anything other than a convincing win. That's probably unreasonable but it's how I feel. Maybe I'm not thinking clearly or rationally, but I now don't see anything to fear when we play them. From their perspective however, its unthinkable that Rangers win this game. They absolutely must put a stop to all the positivity around our club at the moment, because if this momentum continues to build, there's no telling what might happen, and there's too much risk involved for Celtic. Their business model is based on them reaching the group stages of the Champions League. To not even be in it could be catastrophic for them. Of course, that would be a real shame, but this game is a must win for them, and an excellent yardstick for us. All pressure is on them. Let's see how they handle it. But back to us. This is the game Gerrard will have been looking forward to. He will want to see who he can rely on in the big games. He will then know how much further rebuilding work is required. We all suspect that our squad just isn't strong enough yet, but equally I think we all suspect that our first eleven is capable of beating many teams these days, including Celtic. -

I of course know what you mean when you say it was a "man's game", but for me that's just a euphemism for those players that had little skill and just relied on their willingness to hurt someone. For me, thankfully football began to protect its skilful players, although these days I agree that too many just fall over at the slightest hint of a touch from an opponent. The balance is somewhere in between, and I'm glad that we had some of that balance restored during the World Cup. I'd like to see video evidence being used retrospectively to punish cheats because that's the problem in our game now. -

Well done Rangers. Totally dominant again, but this time for the full game. I've no idea how we ended up with more yellow cards than them after all their fouls. The ref was too lenient in my opinion. I'm really enjoying watching this team play. Ejaria showed his class tonight. He wasn't one I was excited by initially, but I feel this boy is pure class. -

Well done again lads. Really enjoyed that again. It's great that people care enough to give you the feedback. You just feel that everyone wants to help make it the best one out there. Arguably it is already but there's no room for complacency. ? -

Which one? ? But seriously, I think we have the two best fullbacks in the country now. Barisic and Tav are a formidable pairing. -
As you'll know, I'm not a fan of the BBC. In fact, I don't waste any time reading their articles or listening to any of their moronic white noise over the radio. Today however, I saw some retweets of some of their coverage of today's game. For the first time I'm absolutely outraged. Many may think I should have reached this conclusion before now, and there's no doubt that our own 26th has tried to evidence the bias on many occasions. I always dismissed it however as a poor service, not necessarily a sinister one. Having seen some tweets of the coverage however, there can be no doubt whatsoever that this team at BBC Scotland needs to be investigated. It's a national scandal that they are allowed to 'report' in this fashion, and every one of them should be sacked for incompetence at best, or more appropriately for attempting to deliberately mislead its audience. This misrepresentation of the facts is now so blatant, it demonstrates that they hold no fear of any consequence for their behaviour. Does this mean that this approach is sanctioned by the governors in England, or are they just so confident that the London based superiors have no interest in what goes on up here?

It must have been the club's decision, not his. I'm assuming that because the leak was to the Sun newspaper. If Kenny had decided, it would have been Jackson that reported it. Let's be honest, this is no surprise. He lacks the character required to be a respected manager. If you can't follow loyally, you cannot lead and be respected. -

Ridiculous refereeing. It was a goal not given and then a clear penalty. Morelos has been unplayable here. The wee man is on fire. He was fouled multiple times before he shoots and scores the second. Class! The pitch is awful though. For such a flat surface the ball takes some strange bounces. I hope Murphy isn't injured badly but he looked really distressed so it doesn't look good. -
That's an awesome sight. A beautiful stadium, and worthy home of the most successful team in the world.

PRESS CONFERENCE | Gerrard and McAllister | 17 Aug 2018
Gaffer replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think he gets that from his playing days. He's looking at them, noting their number in his head, and then he'll walk out and slide tackle them in the car park. He does look at them as I feel he's thinking either "did you really ask me a stupid question like that", or "go ahead, I dare you to ask me the question you're think of". What is clear is that they (SG and GM) have a good cop/bad cop think going on. I wonder if that's how it works with the players too. Maybe McAllister is the one that puts an arm around them after Gerrard has given them a bollocking.
