  1. Why is there any discussion here about clubs who voted , not to have us demoted to the bottom division of Scottish football but to actually THROW US OUT OF SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ALL TOGETHER ? We survived because minor league clubs voted to accept us. Had they not, we were gone. Who cares if they get one match or a dozen against us at home next season ? DON'T GO ! Feck them !
  2. Is it not the case that the home team keep all the gate money in league matches ?
  3. There are 4 season ticket holders and 2 waiting to buy one in our wee group. None of us will be going to any away matches.
  4. We'll sell out any allocation given to us and good luck to any bear choosing to go.
  5. " KHALID AUCHO's agent has accused Kenyan side Gor Mahia of trying to sabotage the midfielder's move to Rangers. Aucho said this week that his move to the Ibrox was close to being finalised, claiming it was 'just a matter of time' before he would become a Rangers player. However, the midfielder's transfer has stalled and his agent Geoffrey Kavemba has accused Gor Mahia of deliberately delaying the move by refusing to grant Aucho a release letter. "It pains me to see Gor Mahia officials playing a cat and mouse game,” Kavemba said. “They have declined to provide my client with the release letter and yet they are aware of the entire deal.” Gor Mahia have since hit back at the agent's allegations and told South African website SuperSport that they are not aware of Aucho's impending transfer but merely expect him to go for trials. "We do not know the agent and I am surprised by his sentiments,” club chairman Ambrose Rachier said. “As a club we can never deny a player any opportunity to progress. Aucho called me on Wednesday and I instructed Ronald Ngala to give him a letter allowing him to go for trials until June 25th. “We are also requesting the agent to avail to us the letter from Rangers so that we can have it in our files. “Aucho told me he is going for trials and we have allowed him and wish him the best in the trials. “As a club we seek ways of ensuring players get opportunities but it’s also important to follow laid down procedures.” http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/680966/Rangers-Transfer-News-Khalid-Aucho-Kenya-Midfielder-Gor-Mahia-Agent-Geoffrey-Kavemba
  6. " A man has admitted assault and disorder charges following violent scenes at the end of last month's Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park in Glasgow. At Glasgow Sheriff Court, John Galbraith, 31, from Dumbarton, admitted running on to the pitch and assaulting two opposition fans and a steward. Sentence on Galbraith was deferred and he was granted bail on the condition he does not attend any football games. Three other men denied charges at the same court and were granted bail. Gary Bain, 40, from Pollok, Glasgow, is accused of running on to the field after the final whistle towards an opposition fan, raising his fist and behaving in an aggressive manner towards him. Mark Hendry, 42, from Shettleston, Glasgow, is alleged to have entered the field, seized a corner flag pole and repeatedly swung the flag and hit opposition fans with it. Steven Morrison, 21, from Swinton, Glasgow, is accused of climbing a barrier and running on to the pitch, shouting, gesticulating at opposition supporters, singing sectarian songs and fighting with rival fans. Each of the men were granted bail with the conditions they did go to any UK match and trials were set for January next year. " http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-36562814 I live in the west and must admit I've never met a Hibs fan in day to day life. I just hope this is not how all of this is going to end.

    new kit

According to the tarred one our new strip is on sale in a sports shop in Eire. Probably just another load of lies mind you.
  8. " CLINT HILL has touched down at Glasgow Airport ahead of joining Rangers. The veteran defender was released by QPR at the end of last season but is wanted by Mark Warburton. We told you earlier today the 37-year-old, who will be 38 in October, was due in Scotland for a medical and to put the finishing touches to his one-year deal. " http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/clint-hill-arrives-glasgow-airport-8215817? Why on earth did I have it in my head that this guy was black ?
  9. Or played at six o'clock in the morning.
  10. " Due to the club’s involvement, and with Celtic playing Inter Milan on August 13, the Scottish Premiership League flag will be unfurled at Celtic’s first home UEFA Champions League qualifying match, the date of which will be confirmed on Monday, June 20. Celtic would like to thank the SPFL, UEFA and league sponsor Ladbrokes for their assistance with this matter and as this is a season book match, our season ticket holders will be able to join in the celebrations that evening on what we hope will be the start of another exciting year for the club. " It doesn't stop the usual conspiracy theorists from crying "fix" once again though.
  11. " Former Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill is expected to arrive in Glasgow on Friday to finalise a move to Rangers. The 37-year-old is due to discuss terms and undergo a medical. Hill is available as a free agent after leaving the English Championship club and is likely to sign a one-year deal. He spent six years with the London club but was released at the end of the season after playing only 15 times in the last campaign. Hill would become Rangers' fifth signing of the summer after the arrivals of midfielders Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton. The defender began his career with Tranmere Rovers and had spells with Oldham Athletic, Stoke City and Crystal Palace before switching to Loftus Road. " http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36554932
  12. I never saw an England match when I lived over there many years ago DB , but I always found their commentators to be not too bad. I was watching the Sportstag programme one Saturday when they switched to a riot on the park - I instantly recognised it as Hampden.
  13. I just got a replacement pressure washer so have been out in the garden most of the day. I've caught the Norniron game since just as they took the field again - decent looking match.
  14. " Police have arrested four men as the investigation into the crowd trouble at the end of last month's Scottish Cup final continues. Officers swooped on homes in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Lanarkshire during the operation on the morning of June 16 and four men - aged between 20 and 42 - were arrested and have been detained in custody. There have now been a total of 32 arrests over the disturbing scenes that occurred after Hibs' historic victory over Rangers at Hampden Park on May 21. A police spokesman said: "This investigation is extensive and involves a significant number of people, however, we remain committed to identifying those involved and rest assured we will identify people and they will be arrested. 15. Am I correct in saying that is the same keeper who made a howler against USA in a WC match ? I was on holiday in Egypt and seem to recall it being him.
  16. Well done Club 1872. This is exactly what I signed up to and hope you will take EVERY opportunity to challenge the concerted campaigns which have been running for the past few years. It is long past time that the lies and smears were answered.
  17. Good God ! They'd need to pay me double time before I'd take that one on.
  18. Using your example of England being part of the UK so wanting them to win I would say it's perfectly reasonable that we should support a neighbour who is even closer, ie the manks. As for dislike of the English - imo that was far more serious in days of yore. At the time when alcohol was not banned there were several matches where there was a risk of death. I can recall practically the whole England support being escorted by the police from the Toryglen end of Hampden. They were in serious danger at that game. Things reached a peak during the Thatcher years when no line was drawn between her, Little England and England. Buut it would probably be fair to say we were only 90 minute homophobes. Point taken, nowadays it lasts much longer than the length of a match. Thursday is one of the few games I'll be interested in seeing so I'm hoping for a goodun too.
  19. Ra Sellik come from Glasgow Coop. Should we support them when they play in Europe ? England were seen as our closest rivals when I was a boy. I still hope they get humped in every match they play. I have family who are English too. I love them to bits but that doesn't stop me wanting to see their team lose.
  20. That was one of the reasons I wanted him chased out the door at the end of last season. Something certainly seems to have kicked in with him though and I've changed my mind. He is 500% a better player now.
  21. I tried to watch the match but found my attention wandering. Eventually I lost all interest and went to do something else. That's probably why I don't make any predictions - I know practically nothing about any of the sides taking part and to be honest, care even less. Hopefully a football gene kicks in later in the tournament.
  22. This piece of legislation was brought in for one purpose - to defend the manks and plastic Irish against the behaviour of the big bad proddies and by default Rangers supporters. It was wholly aimed at prosecuting Rangers fans. What they didn't expect was that a few of their own would get swept up. I had to laugh at the news report tonight when they said that out out of all the guys at football matches and all the matches throughout the country, about 260 got caught breaking the law. There will be more arrested for breach of the peace every day of the year, every year.
  23. There are far more than a "very few people" believe his garbage mate. Guys like him, James, Brennan, McHugh and many others are drip feeding lies on a constant basis and have been doing so for years. The rubbish they post online carries over into pub conversations and before long becomes "fact". They are directly responsible for us becoming so toxic that I really do fear what is going to happen next season at away matches. Does what happened in the media following the cup final not give you some concern ? The Rangers fans should have learned one thing from what's been going on - ignore nothing. We tried that and it didn't work. There is a very strong fans group waiting in the wings and I would expect them at the very least to address this. Rubbish or not it is affecting the Rangers brand - and that means you and me.
  24. Somebody said Kranjcar has only played 90-odd games in 6 years. If that's true I'd hope his troubles are well behind him now.
  25. As said earlier - there is no need for Rangers to name him. All they have to say is, " There have been allegations that our manager telephoned a serial fantasist . A man who is making a living from spreading lies about our club. We would make it clear that yet again this so called journalist is talking shyte."
