  1. We know nothing about what went on. It's all speculation but who's to say Bartons indiscipline is not continuing behind the scenes ? However, to address your points pete, " If I get arrested for stealing I am not kept in jail until a trial, I am released on bail to return to my everyday life. " - not if the offence happened at your work you wouldn't. " Barton will get a punishment from the SFA but Rangers are now punishing him before he is even been found guilty. " - that is assuming that he is being punished for betting. Nobody at Rangers has commented as far as I'm aware. As for him not training with us - it was at training that he reportedly lost it and became the subject of punishment. Maybe he has shown no contrition ? Stepping to the side for a second, I think it was on the other thread that mention was made of how certain players, including Black only received minor punishments for the same alleged offence. We have a new regime in charge so maybe they are now placing it in contracts that such behaviour won't be tolerated ? There is too much speculation around this subject. Too many are reading between the lines and creating conspiracy theories. That's not aimed at you mate. Just my view of what's going on, with the usual suspects in the vanguard creating a feeding frenzy.
  2. JF was another of my favourites in my youth. A deadly out and out poacher. They used to say, every time you saw a photo of a Celtic goalie, the ball was nestling in the net and Jim Forrest was standing over him, arms aloft. I can't remember what match it was but I was there when he scored his 100th goal.
  3. Sutton will get the point some day ----- .@btsportfootball Good performance from Rangers tonight! Disappointing for Rangers fans not to hear from Mark Warbuton pre and post match⚽️ More to the point, MW is not going to help you get a wage packet. Over to you BT Sport. He brings nothing to the party anyhow.
  4. Niko has been absolutely majestic tonight.
  5. Warburton not talking to BT Sport pre match, Somebody has obviously had a word with Sutton. Apart from going on about Hallidays tackle - which was never a booking and hardly even a foul, he's been praising us.
  6. I don't watch until kick off either. Nigella was just on there.
  7. I take it the game got cancelled ? BBC Scotland news at half six didn't even mention the match. A report on some rugby and Andy Murray winning and that was the total of sport in Scotland according to this tv programme.
  8. "PLANS for an Atlantic League involving Celtic and Rangers have been given a big thumbs down by fans of Danish side FC Copenhagen. Copenhagen director Anders Hørsholt revealed yesterday that discussions have been taking place regarding a European league involving teams from Scotland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Sweden. Hørsholt suggested that the Danish side would consider quitting the Superliga to take part in the multinational tournament if the new European league was to come to fruition. But Lars Thor, the president of FC Copenhagen’s official fan club, FCKFC, believes proposals for an Atlantic League won’t go down well with the fans. Talking to Danish newspaper BT , Thor said: “From an economic perspective and a development perspective, I can see what the club’s intentions are, but as a fan, it becomes a ‘no thanks'. “It may well be that there will be many fans at the home games, but I also have to think of the people who enjoy taking away trips. "You would regularly see empty away sections at the home games, whereas at the moment we can afford to save up for big European matches.” Meanwhile, some of the clubs linked with being involved in the new set-up have had their say on the idea of breaking away to a new set-up including Dutch giants PSV. Toon Gerbrands, the CEO of the Eindhoven-based club said: "We have discussed a number of plans with our foreign colleagues. Currently we are not in negotiations for a new league." Malmo chief Nicklas Carlnen also admitted that many discussion have been taking place throughout Europe about the future of the game but refused to be drawn on Hørsholt's suggestions about an Atlantic League saying: "I have no comment on the specific topic, but because of UEFA's decision to change the Champions League format, there are many discussions in Europe. "For us it is important that there is an opportunity for countries like the Scandinavian to continually compete in European tournaments." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/atlantic-league-involving-celtic-rangers-9044353?
  9. The obsessed usual suspects are out in force online swerving, ducking and diving to sweep this one away. That fool and well known "Rangers supporter" John James produces a blog so hateful and twisted that not even the most gullible sellik fan can ever again point to Ibrox affiliations to defend James garbage. The only thing more sickening is their pathetic attempts to get votes for some online blogging award.
  10. UEFA and the SFA will both object unless somebody fills their pockets with gold and I doubt the idea is so popular that there is money to burn. I can't see it myself. And in another 6 months time when yet another guy we've never heard of comes up with another idea I doubt if I'll see it then either,
  11. 44 years old. How sad is that ? Edinburghs first surviving brain donor.
  12. Mate, if protests stop Ashley and his leeches gaining from the sale of even one jersey then I'd consider it worthwhile. I will guarantee that King and the rest of the board would forego what little we gain from the contract in its entirety and come out with a full scale call for all Rangers supporters to boycott the shop if they were legally allowed to. When Ashley is paying rates, electricity, etc for a shop that sells hee-haw I'm certain he'd have second thoughts. As for the staff - sorry but that's the nature of the game. None of my kids would be working in there. Each and every Rangers fan would have the personal satisfaction of knowing they had done just a little bit. I find that personally satisfying myself. Even if Ashley won't go bankrupt through my denying him 50 quid or so.
  13. Yeh, I was there myself that day mate. I'm on about protest every single home game rather than a headline grabber.
  14. I honestly didn't know that money came into bail conditions in Scotland and thought that only applied down south.
  15. It has always surprised me that none of the supporters groups didn't organise protests completely blocking the superstore to anyone wanting to spend money in there.
  16. It looks as though he's working via Level5pr. http://level5pr.co.uk/level5-portfolio/
  17. The club sent an email a couple of days ago advertising the hospitality package for the match. "From £135" seems a tad excessive to me.
  18. Strapons clown suit wouldn't fit him mate.
  19. My dad used to go on and on about the abandoned match against Austria. I'd love to have seen that one.
  20. Please JFK - let that one go. I'm fed up buying apples from that barra. They do it every time. I suspect selling tickets for matches is the reason they do it. No debate about it, an announcement should be made tonight that Strapon and the Eberdeen fanny are sacked. My big mate, a Hearts fan is at the game tonight and I'll be interested to hear his take on it.
  21. I now await the SFA bringing in some experts to examine "what is wrong with Scottish football". The group will spend 3 years and another couple of million to produce yet another report which won't see the light of day. Incompetents , the lot of them.
  22. Scotland 3 down.
  23. That guy Mak looks a very good player.
  24. Looking at my age and where I lived at the time I think I'm on about a game played in 1960.
  25. Scotland 2 down. Time to go Strapon.
