  1. There is much generalisation going on. I suspect most bears don't vote for the SNP as they oppose and deteste what the stand for. Which is the break up of the union and the formation of sovereign Scottish state. It can't be argued that our club and its heritage is a constant thorn in its side, as we promote, on the whole, unionist values. The SNP's anti Rangers undercurrent has manifested itself in plain view over recent months by the tolerance of attacks of all kinds, religious, sporting and political on our club.

I am sure many Rangers fans still vote labour. However the reason why the SNP are a poisonous entity, imo, is clear for all to see.

Sorry coop but I have to disagree with you there. I haven't seen any religious, sporting or political attacks on our club carried out by the SNP and I'm by no means one of their supporters. The Rangers support are meaningless to the SNP. I just don't see where your "thorn in their side" comes from. For several years now they've controlled Holyrood. Nobody but the most rabid tim in the SNP will give the Rangers support a second thought. FFS, not even the SFA give a monkeys about the Rangers support.

The problem nowadays is the manks having total control of the football authorities and the press. Some of us saw that one coming many years ago btw. Should one of our critics step over a line there is the option of going to a police office and report a crime having taken place - should the police fail in some way there is the option of contacting the Scottish government to complain. Would they act ? I've no idea, but it would then maybe back up the point you seem to me to be making.

  2. I absolutely detest the suggestion that all Rangers supporters should be protestant, tory, monarchist, anti-snp or anything else.

As the chap above says, the colour of my scarf shows anybody who's interested what football team I support.

During the referendum debate I saw lifelong Rangers supporters receive online abuse on other forums for simply engaging in the debate. To a man they ended up banned. Not for what they were saying but because the howls from fellow supporters led to the usual accusation from somebody losing the debate that they were guilty of trolling. Similarly I've read posts accusing bears of being IRA supporters because they expressed the opinion that they had no interest in the royal family.

Btw, most of the online abuse came from guys who could usually be found shouting online while a Rangers match was taking place - they had all the credentials but didn't actually go to watch the team play.

I don't care what the political leaning, religion or view of guy sitting next to me is. If he's a Rangers supporter, that's enough.

  3. Of course the Record had to follow this up wit h the tims relationship with St Pauli making it into the second part of a series.:hm:

I was in a local bar a few days ago and noticed a dog with a St Pauli tag on its collar. I remarked, "That's a gorgeous wee dug. It's just a pity about the tag it's wearing." A half drunk non-entity sitting nearby said, "How, whit's up wae St Pauli ?" I replied, "Well, St Pauli is the red light area of Hamburg."

The halfwit obviously thought he was ready to reel one in and ended up making a clown of himself.

  4. Have had 4 Prime Ministers

Onto 4th US President (One of which was the first black President)

Laudrup and Gazza pitched up at heaven

    9 in a row

Hendry had won his his first World title just the year before, he is now retired.

    The 'Rocket' hadn't launched yet.

Tiger Woods was still a cub, now he is all washed up.

Phil Taylor had just won his first World title, he's at no16 now.

Andy Murray hadn't started swingball yet, Britain now has a 2x Wimbledon and a US Open winner.

Danni Minogue just had her first hit.

A load has been crammed in.

and Gandhi has left Govan. :bouncy2:

  5. Does anybody really care about this? The guy thought he was bettering himself. We all do it. I don't get the story here. He went his way and we took the necessary measures to move on. End of story.

It would be the end of the story Pete if he didn't keep appearing to discuss our club, its team performances and business matters.

He walked away so I wish he'd just keep his trap shut and let Rangers supporters worry about what's happening at Ibrox.

  6. The entire handbags that happened at the end could have been avoided if the ref, or lino had caught the blatant hand ball by one of the sheep. Was it Consodine? That mistake led to Wallace getting booked, a 22 man, sorry 21 man rammy, I think Waghorn and one of them got booked and them scoring. As mistakes go, they don't blow up in a refs face as much as that one did.

The referee was another incompetent, bordering on corrupt, clown we seem to draw like magnets.

Aberdeen would have been down to about 8 men had the ref handled them in the same way as some of our players have been treated in past matches.,

  7. Did he ever say that he'd spent 30m on players? Has anyone calculated / he given an answer how much money has been invested (by him) since taking over.

Of course, it is a bit interesting to note that people apparently view him as the "owner" who spends his money on the club. When did someone who "owned", what, 15% of the shares threw that much money after a club?

King said "it could take £30 million to get the club back to where it should be" . He said that he and others would invest that much if needed. There were other later reports where the figure rose to 50 million. At no point did he ever say 30 million would be spent on the playing squad.

As for Souness - he did walking away. I for one will never forget that.

  8. Imo , for last nights game the players were at fault.

At half time it was obvious that the players on the park were not doing it.

Who's fault for the remaining 45 minutes does it then become ?

I have not ever spoken one word in criticism of our coaching squad - seeing our manager standing at the side of the pitch shouting "come on" instead of just going on to boot somebodys baws just didn't sit too good with me.

I honestly don't know whether it was all down to a bad night for those on the park or another block on top of an earlier block pointing towards a Le Guen scenario.

  9. He was top goal scorer in the league for Kilmarnock before he joined us!

And we were told he was back to being a world beater before he returned to us from Kilmarnock. The point is , imo Boyd turned into a lazy bassa each time he pulled on a Rangers jersey. Look at the difference in his weight when he played for us.

  10. I have often said top3 will be a bonus.

Regards comments on Garner there is a decent footballer in there but hopefully Warburton will use him properly and not do what McCoist did to Boyd

who was never a target man but used in that way destroying one of the best penalty box strikers in his time.

    Let's face it Mac,

Boyd scored a lot for us because of the quality around him. Chances came his way because we had a few talented players in our side. In turn Boyd became a lazy bassa, too idle to move himself and too stupid and lazy to stop finding himself in an offside position. I blame McCoist for a lot of things but destroying what was in effect a traffic cone wearing a Rangers jersey isn't one of them.

  11. What qualifies as a "going concern"? I was under the impression that this is only relevant if a club is floated on the stock exchange? Likewise, I find it quite amusing (in a sarcastic way) that we should be targetted with this, while Spanish clubs as well as the English ones carry debts that reach 100s of million.

Anyhow, I wonder how they come up with "losses" of 18.4m when these are essentially debts to or loans by directors etc., rather than any bank debt that will claw it back. But someone will sure give a more detailed analysis.

It's another Record non-story mate. The shettlestons are the only ones who'll buy that nonsense.

  12. It would be nice to have a few more ladies in attendance; Christine (aka plgsarmy) has been a regular attendee as has "the lovely Samantha" aka Alison partner of Charltonman; but there is no reason why other spouses or partners or indeed friends should not attend (subject to space limitations, members of Gersnet will have first call on seats).

My wife is an absolute menace who wouldn't rest until she had everybody dancing on the tables. Great company, but tiring after 3 or 4 hours.

  13. I see a Rangers blogger takes the moral high ground in the Record -

    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/decent-fans-must-stand-up-9352597?

Imo the guy is completely missing the point. Nobody is using child sex abuse as a stick to beat Celtic. They are using THE COVERING UP of child sex abuse.

Also, and I'd never seek to defend Dolly, but they've put up with "sheep shagging bassas" for years and years without comment from anyone. What is it these bloggers are saying, that it's ok to mock bestiality [formerly a capital offence in Scotland] but no mention at all should be made of the rape of children ?

I fecking object to being called a zombie and anyone doing it should not be annoyed when I retort that their own club systematically covered up the buggery of weans.
