Joey Barton: Burnley set to re-sign 34-year-old midfielder
boabie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Especially when we were fed on the promise of youngsters being grazed, fed and sold leading to club income when sold. Then again, maybe that was the media touching our erses up yet again. I for one was disappointed when Barton appeared on our radar. There was absolutely no need for a challenge this season. -
As I shall be wishing many locals in Spain when I arrive on the day of the three kings on 5 January.

Joey Barton: Burnley set to re-sign 34-year-old midfielder

We obviously spent a bit of money from a tight budget to get hold of the guy. He was a complete waste of money. I couldn't care less where he went to or how he's doing. -
As I see it Mac, once Whytes trial is over, the actual ownership of Rangers is established and, full, open and wide investment begins, my one fear is that we may well slip back to the Advocaat days of signing to get one single goal. My hope at the start with Warburton was that we'd see youngsters appear in short time after his arrival.

Craig, I was but a child when I saw Baxter and Co dominate. I then lived through the manks running amok. Our own 9 in a row squads took over later and I loved every second of it despite working abroad for much of it. What should be remembered is, these things go in cycles. I couldn't care less if the manks win 15 in a row - we'll equal it eventually.

A tradesman helping me set up a business for my daughter has been on the trail 3 times now. I happened to mention the visit to Rosneath. He hadn't heard of that one but asked me to enquire whether another is planned. -

Being honest, I think Murray would have sold to the devil. He tried Ellis but knew the fans wouldn't buy that one. The useful idiot Whyte was then wheeled in and thanks to some media juggling was accepted. There will be a book out in a couple of years at the latest examining the history of the main players and their involvement , before, during and post Rangers. I've seen some of the work. Believe me - they are third rate conmen and no more. Without Murray none of it would have happened and that's the reason they got away with alleged criminal acts. I also believe the case will not finish with Whyte. There will be twitchy bums even today. -
"Although they are still playing well, losing at Ibrox - where they played well but were beaten - has had an adverse effect. That puts pressure on the players and the manager and how do they handle that pressure? " Yes Willie, but "playing well" doesn't mean you deserved to win. Also, how about the game at Pittodrie where your team also "played well" but not as well as the side who lost the match ? It's another, if your auntie had baws argument. Abersheep will raise their game against Rangers and maybe steal a couple of points but the simple fact is, now that Rangers are back in the top division, your mob will go back to scrapping for a Euro place.

David Weir blasts social media criticism of Ibrox boss Mark Warburton...

I've got to admit mate, I don't know what match you were watching. When we were leading I just didn't see any way we'd lose. Yes we lost stupid goals. But there is no way we didn't more than hold our own. -

It has, I think been proven that Whyte wasn't playing with his own money. He required, thanks to Murray, a quid to buy Rangers. His trial will determine exactly how much more he had in his wallet. As to Ahmad and Green - are we back to believing "wealth off the scale" stories from the Record or similar ? They are another two no-marks who had to cozy up to Whyte to look at picking another pocket. I'll repeat mate - another couple of third division conmen. Unheard of financially until the name of Rangers appeared. -
Butcher hasn't had a good word to say about our club since 5 seconds after he got his last wage packet from us. At Hamilton as always he concentrated on every single negative he could see in our play. I met him once at Ibrox and would hope I get another chance - just to let him know what I think of him now.

I think you must also take into consideration the new players fitting into the system we'd been playing with, the fact that some were injured or not at peak fitness too Pete. We'd a couple who were absolute disasters in their first match which couldn't have helped with confidence. I'd prefer to think that the manager saw what was going on and DECIDED to change how we played rather than being forced into it. -

Apart from LBG nobody made tens of millions - and that money came from Ticketus. Millions were syphoned off but apart from Whyte who was initially playing a game of trying to balance his Visa bill, his lifestyle and repaying money he owed other deadbeat friends, none of the ****s you mentioned have a ha'penny between them. They are the financial world equivalent of those cheap conmen who set up double glazing companies only to go burst the next year. We keep hearing that Whyte has millions salted away. He's staying with a burd who has a posh address but he would not have got legal aid if he had any money. Whyte is a complete dumpling who got caught for every wrong move he ever made. Look to D&P if you want to know where the real money went. Once Whyte has been to court that one will come to the fore mate. -

[it is alleged] Whyte got hold of Rangers by fraud. [it is alleged] Whyte and Green conspired to form Sevco 5088. [it is alleged] Green stiffed Whyte to get control of the club. It is a fact that Whyte formed Law Financial. It is a fact that Law Financial was bought by Worthington. In return Worthington would "finance" an attempt to get money from BDO,etc. If Whyte is found guilty he has no claim on anything to do with Rangers no matter what holding company ended up holding the keys. Worthington have no claim as Law Financial is actually Whyte. If Whyte wants to sue anybody his best chance of success is to go for Green. -

Every single word of the post is a complete load of garbage. Earley, Whyte, Ellis, Law Financial, Worthington and everybody else quoted are part of a circle of penniless deadbeats who thrive on asset stripping, ambulance chasing, and fraud. If any of the above named wish to seek redress for that statement then I absolve the owners of any forum where I made that statement. In short, you are all a shower of cheap chiseling bassas barely worthy of the paper, ink or time to report your pathetic nonsense. -
Craig Whyte cuts cash claim against oldco Rangers by over £21million
boabie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Whyte looked to place the club into administration, go through the process and end up with a club free of debt owning a few millions of squad players, to say nothing of the material value of Ibrox and Auchenhowie. He is facing charges of fraud. Even if found not guilty of that criminal charge there will be enough imo at civil law to ensure he doesn't get another penny from Rangers. -

Craig Whyte cuts cash claim against oldco Rangers by over £21million
boabie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
" Whyte’s original claim for £25million was lodged by Law Financial Limited, a company owned by the Worthington Group, of which he was a director. " Whyte set up Law Financial as a company himself and sold the shares to Worthington. It was nothing other than a shelf company being used to drain more money out of the club. He's getting hee-haw. -
I'll confirm that's what he said.

That is not my memory cb. Rangers boys club was ran by Aberdeen at one time and although we had a few players come through our own ranks I seem to recall a long period where we bought any player who'd given a reasonable showing when playing against us rather than relying on our own nursery. -
What has to be remembered though JFK is that we were in possession at the time. I don't expect our players to mark the opposition when it's us who have the ball. The goal came from a dreadful mistake by Halliday. He was at fault and nobody else. When that goal went in I fully expected a draw from a game we should have won by at least 4. I hope Halliday got his baws booted post match.
