  1. Then we have the "where we are" excuse...tbh I didn't think for one minute we'd suffer heavy defeats like tonight or have such a poor goal difference after 20 odd games of the season and be SO far behind in 2nd place.

Neither did Celtic...they have over spent to win the Premiership this season, they paid top dollar to land Brenda, even Scott Brown thought he may as well come out of International retirement after a couple of months into the season.

Brenda is a fanny. His record proves that.

He'll gain the manks many millions when he moves on, simply because no other side in Scotland going on current form, will stop him winning however many titles he wants to win.

  2. No!

The writing is on the wall though that in the Premiership, teams and managers are better, know their homework and know how to play us. And they are better than what we played before, not least on their home patch. (Hearts caught us out and had little problem hitting us thereafter. We shall see whether they can keep that form up in the next few games.)

On top of that, we have quite a few players who seem to have off moments in the worst possible situations, be it Tavernier, Kiernan, or Halliday. Situations that costs us games. On the other hand, those who are responsible up front seem unable to find their form for months ... yet, the opposition whips up the odd Sunday afternoon shot like Walker's first to set them on the road. And like it or not, MW still picks people who simply are not up for it at this moment in time. Of all those that needed dropped, Holt was the last, yet he was removed first, while Tav and Halliday play on.

Today was the perfect opportunity to test the mettle of a three-man defence with Wallace and Hodson on the wings. Holt, Hyndman and Miller in the middle, McKay, Waghorn and Forrester up front. For ... IF the midfield gets over-run, you would have pace and technique to hit them on the counter, while the industry in midfield is still there. Since I was away all afternoon, I didn't have time to post that pre-match, but anyway. In the here and now, Plan A won't work at Pittodrie, Tynecastle or the Scumhut.

Only a couple of points DB - to me Tavernier was our best player if we discount Hyndman who got hooked.

I'm not into formations and never have been except from the 3-5-2 I played under.

Imo "plan A" will never work as long as we have a couple of third raters at the heart of our defence.

You can tell your midfield and attackers whatever you want, but if the two diddies protecting your goalie do something stupid then your whole theory disappears out the park.

Cathro sent a message on paper onto the park tonight - it said, " Hit the ball in the general direction of Halliday and Kiernan - they are bound to feck up. If they miss the ball Hill will give us a penalty "

  3. Yes, that is true. Try and seal 2nd place and take it from there.

Something needs to change in the summer or we'd better get used to seeing more performances and results like tonight.

Seal 2nd place but to what end Norris ?

If we carry on with the current policy of signing, albeit promising kids on loan and 37 year old centre halfs to bolster the obvious below par dumplings we currently have then we are facing a really humiliating pre season couple of matches in Europe.

The only something that needs to change is money being made available to sign "good" players.

Maybe MW is the guy to do that if handed the money. I don't know. But I'd rather we had 3 sent off than watch yet another match where we were hopeless and with no baws. I'm not advocating a team of cluggers. Just 11 players who look as if they care.

  4. I think MW has to go. We need a manager who is also a tactician and can adapt to how teams set up. We're far too predictable and the glaring problems at the back, which were noted last season have not even attempted to be solved. MW has taken us as far as he can and he's not getting the best out of these players.

With the money he's been handed we should be swatting teams like Hearts aside. I've supported the guy up until tonight, The only worry is, until the court cases are sorted who is going to hand another manager the funding obviously required ?

  5. WRT his story about McKay & Leipzig......That is EXACTLY the type of stories that we need more of. Whether true or not, it gets a high price for our players out there. Chances are that if a team is looking @ McKay, they will see that story stating he's worth £6.5m - that will then influence any bids that come in for him. Ceptic have been doing this for years - just look at the stories about Dumbell-end....£40m bids!!!!

We need to make the media work more for us, especially in the transfer market.

If you're happy reading his constant lies about Rangers then carry on buying the crappy paper that employs him. I won't be.

  6. Jackson said McKay was going to Leipzig. The story was proven to be rubbish within a couple of hours. To me, that says all we need to know about Jackson. The guy's a trumpet and no friend of Rangers.

  7. I remember Bill Murrays book, The Old Firm, where they had a black and white photo on the front cover. Unfortunately they used a photo of Accies hoops playing against us rather than a mank one. :flute:

For some reason I missed this match.

  8. What's FdB going to do with Warburton's budget? Probably wouldn't know where to start.

I'll call bullshit on the speculation too mate. Unless tens of millions were going to be made available it just isn't going to happen. Christ almighty, we've been scrabbling around looking for the money for a goalie at a price we could have gathered in a bedsheet by 2 guys running around Ibrox at half time.
