  1. I think the discussion over whether it works or not a simple Yes or No asnwer. On the one hand it IS working as fines are being handed out & action is being taken. On the other hand, the actions being taken (in ceptic instance) are not deterring future mis-behaviour.

However, under current Scottish rules, not action would be taken, so whether the system works 100% of the time, it could be argued that it is an improvement over what is in place just now. The effectiveness would increase with harsher penalties AGAINST ONE CLUB - RANGERS ! .

I fixed that for you Darth.

  2. " St Johnstone got a 14k fine for having a SINGLE Palestinian flag flown at their Europa game... whilst Celtic got a 10k fine (so 4k LESS than St Johnstone) for having a whole section of their ground flying Palestinian flags. "

A section of the ground handed over to them by the club for their exclusive use. Therefore, fully sanctioned by the club.

It's one thing for a club to be fined for the actions of their fans. But when the club endorse those actions they should have been hammered by UEFA.

  3. Can anyone confirm if a line has been drawn under everything with MW, DW and FM? Its still all gone very silent. Are they still saying they haven't resigned and taking it further behind the scenes? They have only spoken through the LMA which is just a statement.

Im guessing as far as the club are concerned its resignations and cheerio.

    They resigned. Job done.

The only folk keeping it going are Ill Phil. the fool JJ and the Rhecord.

  4. Jim Baxter was the most skilful Rangers player I have seen, but he was flawed like so many that he liked a bevvy. He went to Sunderland but did not achieve much success. He was selected to play for World Selects with Willie Henderson but Scottish football was in a better place then. Laudrup was a complete professional who was head and shoulders above the Scottish game but at European level only a good player.

Different times as the world of football advanced mate. Joe Baker and Denis Law moved to Italy. They got paid a fortune comparably but were subject to contract fines if they did something silly like eat steak instead of chicken or have beer rather than wine. That led to Denis hiding in the boot of a car to leave the country.

Slim Jim wouldn't have put up with that. A comfortable life where he could sink as many pints as he wanted was enough.

It became known as the Scottish Disease.

Laudrup was from a later age. Most had learned a little by that time.

Laudrup couldn't lace Baxters boots. Anyone still alive to see both play would tell you that mate.

  5. He would be great compared to Mckay, Irvine, Davies and the other miserable names on the list.

So would many of the top coaches in world football mate.

We now work at at different division, maybe 4 below what those guys want to be associated with ?

  6. I would assume that any new deal will be rather difficult to negotiate, as jersey sales will still be low by comparison, given that supporters hopefully won't buy SD stuff?

While I am at it, is there actually a possibility to buy SD out of that deal? Just in theory.

For the annoyance factor alone I don't think Ashley would go for a sell at any price whatsoever.

I don't think he likes King. :flute:

  7. " Malky Mackay has been installed as the new second favourite to become the next Rangers manager following a dramatic tumble in his odds.

The 45-year-old is behind only Alex McLeish in the betting to replace Mark Warburton, who left in acrimonious circumstances 12 days ago.

Sky Bet price Mackay, who is the performance director of the Scottish Football Association, at 7/2 to take over at Ibrox after he leapfrogged the likes of Graeme Murty, Alan Pardew and Derek McInnes in the last two days. "

Aye, that'll be feckin' right !

I was at Glasgow Airport and saw a black guy with a club badge on and went over to get his autograph. For the life of me I can't remember who it was, maybe Boli ? Anyhoooo, it turns out he was flying out to join our squad who were training abroad, Italy ? and the guy standing beside him who I didn't recognise and totally ignored, turned out to be Laudrup.

  9. The boy Kerr from Dundee has impressed me twice now I would take a further look at him against other teams.

Something that always depressed me Pete. I've seen at least a dozen players playing against us in the past couple of years that impressed and would obviously benefit from what we're assured is a more professional set up.

I think back to the late 60's when we would simply have bought any player who looked good against us.

  10. Wotte is another nonentity who would do absolutely nothing for our current squad.

Ffs, the guy couldn't even impress the diddies at the SFA.

Having a foreign name did nothing for Scottish football. This guy is another waste of money.

  11. "Former Rangers chief executive Derek Llambias has demanded Dave King to show where the money is at Ibrox.

Llambias - who was appointed chief executive at Ibrox in December 2014 - launched the broadside against the incumbent Rangers chief during an interview which aired on Sky Sports on Tuesday night."

Why don't these feckers just slink away back under the rocks they crawled out of and hope the don't get caught up in the Whyte, Green shitstorm ?
