  1. Get on your coat and hat, Boab, and off to the match. You'll regret not going when you can't.

And when the boys run out, give a shout, for the famous Glasgow Rangers

Too late mate. A mate going through hard times and who had to give up his season ticket the season before last has been given my brief for tonights match.

It's no just the football mate, I've been busy at home.

I'll content myself with text up dates and carry on wallpapering a room.

  2. 1stMarch1966 we played Real Zaragoza in the cup winners cup and we got a good two nil result , and the weather was wild that night .

We lost the second leg 2-0 but qualified by a toss of a coin.

The Rangers board have cut their manager shortlist down to four candidates and will push on after the DoF is appointed #RangersFC

    Bruce Archer‏ @Bruce_Archer89

Ronald de Boer is not on that list. Garry Monk, Derek McInnes, Alex McLeish and Gary Rowett have been discussed at length #RangersFC

That one came from newsnow, Daily Express.

Tbh, I think there's been a lot of kite flying going on for the past couple of weeks. De Boer was always rubbish.

I know only 2 of the others above and don't want either.

  4. It was Mandy Rice-Davies who said it, under questioning in the Old Bailey.

Can you remember Hamish Imlach's song about the girls?

I remember seeing a drag cabaret act back in the mid seventies in Rhyl who's name was Randy Mice Davies.

  5. The fool JJ has obviously got this quarters leccy bill through and is becoming desperate -

Despite working hard over the weekend and providing several exclusives my only recompense was a single donation of £3. There are those who still cling to the notion that £3 per month is enough to keep my head above water. With only 50-60 regular donors it is just not tenable. One day soon I will stop making appeals. This could be my last. JJ. "

He then follows that appeal with more begging letters under a couple of his other user names -

I feel I am qualified in making comment to all that read today’s blog posted by JJ early today. I Bet a few of you went out yesterday and paid maybe £1.70 for the mail on Sunday, you might even be more intilectual than me ( I left school with no qualifications so would not be hard) and pay £2.00 for the telegraph. Might even want to read the same old shite in the Sunday Mail at £1.70, god help you guys. Or if like me you enjoy the FT at the weekend especially with their brilliant monthly magazine “How to spend it” (I am sure Dave King sits in his castle and reads the online version) at £3.00.

Calculate that over 52 weeks and donate regularly to this site. This is a great guide to the real cost of contributing to the upkeep of the blog. If your guilty of reading, enjoying and ignoring your duties then you are no better than the rangers support who allowed their club to die. If you are on here and enjoying the glory of going to your mate at work and giving them ” in the know inside info” that you regurgitate from here YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. YES YOU.

A few people have stopped there reading my rant. If you are still reading this then you care. Go to PayPal now. It’s your duty. "

Come on guys, this is a fantastic blog, it is the go to site for true information regarding Scottish football, particularly the Sevco pantomime. It would be a sad day if JJ pulled the plug due to a lack of financial backing.

I know not everyone can afford to make a donation, but when you look at the hits compared to regular donations the % is very small. Think of the alternative if JJ pulled the plug, daily rectum etc, I urge other readers to make a donation however small, to ensure this site lives on. "

  6. Amazing response...cheers guys. My team is still the best :champs:

For me - Klos, Numan and Hateley are so unlucky not to get into my side. 3 world class players there.

I was a bit stuck at centre half though, I refuse to put Butcher in and think Craig Moore was arguably our most ever improved player. He was a boo boy with Walters side and everyone questioned Advocaat buying him back from Palace but that was the most shrewd signing ever. He would walk into todays team.

Klos wouldn't get a game for the reserves for me mate. Playing your centre halves on the 18 yard box line simply because your keeper is unwilling to leave his goal line or incapable of kicking a ball more than 10 yards just doesn't work .

One on one or possibly a penalty kick was that guys only strength. For me he was one of the worst keepers I've ever seen at Ibrox.

  7. Reading his story reminds me of my cousin ,I wish him and his family well .

I have it sorted with my family that if I ever come down with that terrible disease they just leave me alone with a 40 ouncer and a large bottle of tablets.

My relative took 10 years to go. You wouldn't let a dog suffer like that.

  8. Agree with both of you. I would only really post something of ITK status if it was generally my view based on putting 2 and 2 together anyway and then I get a 'titbit' usually because i have steered a conversation a particular way to verify my opinion. My ITK stuff is not at the the level of the Russian secret service however. In the end we all put 2 and 2 together based on what we think is reliable evidence and we don't do it in isolation. For example rbr (who i do not know) posted something which I recognised as having truth and from completely different sources I would guess (it certainly isn't from Celtic bloggers btw). So I thought it was worth adding to that based on whatt I understand. In the interests of integrity and credibility of the gersnet board it would always be wise not to draw too many conclusions from people like me and outside formal comms from the club. But then if I have something that i think fans who invest their time and money should know it is difficult to say nothing. At the end of the day I am just another anonymous internet being but I hope my posts at least show I'm a Rangers fan and want the club to succeed. That's all I hope to be recognised but rangers fans have generally been to unquestioning in the past and it didn't help.

With respect to Ulis comment re what was shambolic about warburtons 'resignation' I can only respond by saying I have never seen any Rangers manager moved on or moving with such public disagreement about what actually happened. It does not seem clear cut. Resignation is a pretty straightforward process normally. Right now we are skint and we are paying for a manager and team who are not working whilst we have no effective leadership of the first team squad at a critical part of the season and we are behaving in a reactive mode rather than dictating the direction.. That's what's shambolic. Whatever the facts turn out to be in the end the board and chairman are accountable to the shareholders and fans for everything and the way the whole club is managed and that includes giving the right perception of the club to the public and projecting the best image possible. I don't think that has happened here.

I'm sorry WB but I don't see any shambles at all in Warburton going.

He was on his way out if he got the Notts job.

The board spoke about it and decided he was indeed crap at his job.

His rep met the board again.

He didn't get the Notts job.

The board accepted his resignation with no financial penalty to him or anyone else.

Warburton and the other 2 deciding, because they didn't get the Notts jobs they'd rather carry on being crap at Ibrox is the only thing making this "shambolic".

Imo the board acted very cutely and got rid of dead wood at no cost.

  9. Same old record from you; what has any of that got to do with the current Board being prepared for their manager leaviing; answer nothing whatsoever.

I don't know what went on between you and FS before mate but there is plenty being said about the current board, of whom I'll admit I have some thoughts myself. But you can't simply say, never mind that lot, what about this lot just because it suits you.

The previous mob were a shower of leeches who are still sucking the lifeblood out of our club. At least the current board have put their own money in. Whether it's enough money is a separate debate.

  10. Just a few years ago few believed things could get any worse that they were , however under DK stewardship or rarther lack of the good ship RFC is heading for the rocks once again , all in the name of saving the board or rather DK .

A divided board does no one any good , a devious board even worse , when you look back at things such as getting rid Of RF as a priority instead of funding a new manager it speaks volumes .

We are truly fucked IMHO , I have never felt so low as I currently do , that board members are at each other's throats , no direction , no Chairman , no clear path , they can't even agree whether to appoint a manager or D of F first , it's pathetic .

Yet the usual arseholes will appear to tell us all DK has a plan , can't buy the bullshit anymore .

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If supporters who know don't reveal anything then nothing will change.

Your last signature there sums up everything I've always believed about our support CB.

Can ask though where these stories about " board members are at each other's throats " are coming from ?

Over the years on many forums I've seen guys writing about inside knowledge - there are a couple here too. Experience has taught me that without fail they are full of shyte. Btw, that I can remember, I haven't seen you do the same . But would still like to know where these rumours originate from.

The fool JJ or the failed social worker, Muirhead, etc are a given - they earn a living via donate buttons from deluded manks.

Are we expected to buy into second-hand garbage from those clowns ?

RBR has plenty to say without saying anything at all apart from opinion.

Maybe I've not been here long enough to catch up on who's in the know but I haven't seen one single line from anybody that gives me hope that I might get an insight into anything going on behind the scenes.

    Believe me, I'm listening.

  11. No different than at the Edinburgh derby in midweek. I rather expect some "weak-minded" people being incensed by the songs aired tonight (again) and cry foul of that.

You've puzzled me there DB. I didn't hear any songs that might have caused offence to anyone.

In saying that mate, by half time I was also playing Candy Soda Crush.

  12. The board have a responsibility in that they allowed him to make those 11 signings last summer. None of those signings started tonight. Tells you all you need to know

The board took on a manager who was responsible for signing players. I don't recall too many objections when Warburton and Weir arrived.

I'll repeat Rab - the fact that Warburton signed a load of dumplings isn't the boards fault.

Anybody wanting to claim that Warburton wasn't given enough money for players should maybe look at your pointing out how many started tonight.

Our club isn't cash rich. We have a budget. Warburton wasted it.

  13. Hello , that's my entire point , some time soon it's going to become obvious to the support .

    Hello yourself.

Warburton made signings. He's now gone. If we have a squad of dumplings that's hardly Kings fault. Blame the last manager.

  14. From what little I've seen from various types of footage of him interacting with the first team etc he comes across as a 'nice guy'. Of course there's nothing wrong with being a nice guy per se' but 'nice guys' are not exactly what we need right now in any department.

He's only there until a replacement is found BJ. If I was in his position I wouldn't be turning myself into an animal for a few weeks either.

I'd criticise him if he was shoving himself forward for the job full time. But he isn't. He said he doesn't want the job.

  15. They knew MW was going because they manipulated the situation , sorry it's not they , 2 board members manipulated the situation , we replaced an entire squad for less than Celtic spent on Sinclair yet it's the managers fault , Jesus wept , talk about gullible

Celtic didn't need Sinclair . They would win this league easily without him.

    We needed a whole squad.

  16. Not me. In no way, shape or form would I take Malky Mackay.

I can't see the board being so silly as to appoint MacKay. Season ticket sales would take a severe hit for starters and lack of funding is one thing the board would be careful to avoid.

No matter what the bookie says, that one is a non-starter.

  17. What position does King play at ? Is he the guy responsible for shipping goals or does he miss sitters ?

We have guys in charge of Rangers daily. They are paid handsomely for doing just that.

Going by what I've seen you post in the past mate maybe also excuses you for calling Rangers fans "idiots". However, hatred of King doesn't mean it's right to do it.
