  1. The ball-girl did look frustrated and hurled some nice abuse at Hill after he got up. Tolerance is educated early over there.

I've always been convinced there's something in the water over there. It takes a very short time after arriving for them to lose all sense of reality and begin to believe the thousands of conspiracy theories proposed by their manky leaders.

It's been happening for as long as I've followed football and was probably alive before that time.

That's one thing Big Jock, the guy who knew, brought to the fore during my time.

  2. Brenda, "We're disappointed that none of the four officials saw the incident and gave us a penalty."

Maybe because none of the four officials was standing behind the goal, the only place they could have been to make the decision to award a penalty ?

Still, it's always better to sink to the level of the dementeds I suppose.

  3. For most of the match, Alfie Conn's pace had McNeil demented.

The clip previous showing Jaws cup winner unfortunately cuts before showing McNeil complaining for something, anything to chalk the goal off. He's totally bemused and obviously expected something/anything from the referee. :bouncy2:

  4. Them on BBC radio took it very bad :laugh2:

    JGlasgowCelticKnight @DunoonaTIC

On what planet is that NOT a penalty?????

    Anthony Redmond @AntoRedmond93

Surely Hill fouled Griffiths there for a penalty.

    1:49 PM - 12 Mar 2017

    Kristian Ross @Kristian7Ross

Clint Hill brings down Leigh Griffiths in the box and replay indicates it looks like a penalty. Bobby Madden however, disagrees. Big call.

  5. You're joking right?, he was another incompetent ref who was inTIMidated before a ball was kicked

He's not incompetent. He's a biased referee who failed to stick to the script today. For that alone his name will be mud from now on. The detectives will be looking for masonic links as we speak.

  6. Nobody knows anything about this guy. He hasn't taken charge for one single game, yet his appointment is put down as "embarrassing".

Did any of those fantasy league managers apply ?

Of the others connected, how many were maybe disappointed to learn the understandable financial constrictions that would be placed on them ? Yes we remain Rangers, a huge name in football. But the safe is empty and not everyone applying would have known that until told.

Let's give the man a chance.

  7. Well done Rangers. A thoroughly deserved result and with a bit of luck we could have won.

Madden will have reffed his last match. The manks will see to that.

Let's run a sweep on how many times their penalty claim will be shown in the next 24 hours - I'll go for mullions.

  8. Twice so far Brown should have been sent off for striking players off the ball. The first within the first 5 minutes.

Job done referee. There is no way we'll be allowed to finish with 11 players on the park.

From the second that Holt made an erse of things we were going a goal down.

  9. Was he the one doing anyting more than giving his signature on behalf of his Lloyds "advisors"? Given that much of his imperium followed our footsteps, it is to be questioned how much influence he had in "his" business dealings. At the end of the day, one can always hold him down to making the signature though ... if one wants to.

DB, Murray was the same as you or me dealing with our domestic arrangements. If your bank or mortgage holder contacted you with advice or recommendations you'd read what they said and make a decision.

Rangers was Murrays domestic arrangement. At the end of the day, no matter how much he was overdrawn, in the red or owed, it required his signature on paper to determine what happened to Rangers.

One thing that should never ever be forgotten - Murray did not own 100% of Rangers. He owned the vast majority of shares but had been happy enough to finance his own bank account by selling shares to the wider public.

Murray dumped a debt. I lost money.

  10. You omitted to sat that when Whyte bought Rangers for £1 as well as clearing the bank debt supposedly using funds from one of his companies he had to settle the small tax case & carry out various stadium upgrades.

We now know he cleared the bank debt using funds he got from ticketus and didn't settle the small tax case & carryout stadium upgrades.

He effectively broke the conditions of the sale

And Murray knew that. In the contract signed between Murray and Whyte, there was a clause stating that Murray could take back Rangers if Whyte didn't fulfill his commitment to pay off debts and carry out the repairs.

That shows how desperate he was to get rid of Rangers and how much of a scumbag Murray is.

  11. What did Green do? He also bought Newco as a loan that was to be paid back. I am no business person but that seems to be a thing that is accepted in the Finance\Football world. Many teams seem to be taken over with their own money. Did Fergus McCann not do the same with Celtic?

Greens mistake was in not permanently hiding the fact that he was working alongside Whyte to take control of the club after Whyte had destroyed it.

Green knew fine well what Whyte had done. The two of them formed a scheme to take control. Green is as guilty as Whyte imo - especially immediately after he sold shares to an unsuspecting public.

Post the Whyte trial there will be years and years of civil and possibly more criminal cases imo. This thing isn't close to be finished.

  12. I agree there was fraud from the 2 of them but the actual buying of Rangers wasn't fraudulent. What happened between Whyte and Green has nothing to do with Oldco. To gain Rangers Whyte said he would pay of LBG and he did. He also paid MIH 1 pound to take over the company. Where his case may fall down is that he never let it be known that he was banned from being a director of a company and therefore should not have been in the position to buy. If we win the BTC it will throw up some very interesting scenario's and probably court cases.

You're saying nothing I disagree with there Pete.

The paying off of LBG is where the fraud charges came about.

It will be argued, mainly by the mank obsessives that Whyte paid £1 to buy Rangers. He paid that to Murray.

The contract between them though brought into effect monies to be paid to LBG and for approx £5 million of maintenance at Ibrox.

Being banned as a director didn't come into it, apart from the football authority rules.

A win at the BTC leaves the field open to the company running the winding up of Oldco to go after everybody.

  13. Yes but that is Green I was talking about Whyte. Did Whyte gain Rangers fraudulently or did he just get the money for it fraudulently? Whyte may fancy going to court to claim he is the rightful owner. Then indeed Greens admission would be important.

Whatever went on between Whyte and Green matters not should Whyte be convicted for actions during his own tenure.

Imo the two of them were conspiring to commit fraud following the clubs disintegration. That one may well come up in the future.

  14. We need pressure on their fullbacks so I'd go with ...

    Fods

    Tav Hill Wilson Wallace

    Toral Holt

    O'Hal Hyndman McKay

    Waghorn

That's a good team there Gaffer. Unfortunately imo though, it's probably the one Brenda would love to see us field.

While appreciating that attack is sometimes the best form of defence, can you imagine the wide open spaces we'd leave when 3/4 of our side go charging forward ?

  15. " Pedro Caixinha is almost certain to become the 16th manager for Rangers FC by the end of this week after Al-Gharafa gave him permission to join the Ibrox side.

The 46-year-old can now arrive in Scotland after both the clubs sorted out the financial deals.

The Portuguese is expected to be in Glawgow on Saturday, and he will watch Sunday’s Old Firm clash from the Celtic Park.

The incoming Rangers boss is ready to raid his former club for a defender. According to reports from the Daily Record, Caixinha is planning to sign the 24-year-old from his former club Al-Ghafara.

Sumaila was voted Ghana’s best defender in 2010-11, and till date has won six caps for his country. Caixinha sees him as his trusted centre-back, and has played a key role in lifting the Qatari side from the bottom of the Stars League to fifth place.

The report says Caixinha has been Sumaila’s godfather since he joined Al-Gharafa on loan from Al-Qadsia last year. "

  16. Richard Keys ✔ @richardajkeys

Pedro Caixinha leaves Qatar Saturday morning after Rangers agree to pay 400,000 euros compensation. His contract had 3 months to run.

    3:51 PM - 10 Mar 2017

  17. I seem to remember something about needing an exit visa signed by the head of whatever department you were working for in Qatar [ it would be the minister for sport in this case] before you are allowed to leave the country. Is it possible that this is what the slight hold up is ?
