  1. I've said before here that I never had much time for Miller.

But I'm more than willing to admit he's been one of our better players these past few games.

He's taken most chances well unlike a few of our other forwards.

  2. Your first mank game there coop - I'd a mate who was a cop. Every time they worked a match his group were assigned to stand on the track. No turning around to see the game. That match they got detailed to the Govan rear which pleased him no end.

Just as the teams took the pitch a sergeant said, "Those 2 are pissed. Jail them."

He took the 2 arrested guys to the police room under the Main Stand and got delayed there for the whole match. He never saw a ball kicked. :D2

  3. " RANGERS Football Club is shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of former defender Ugo Ehiogu.

The 44-year-old Englishman joined the Light Blues when Walter Smith returned as manager in 2007 and made a huge impact in his short time in Glasgow – notably his winning goal at Celtic Park in the derby.

He died after suffering a heart attack at Tottenham’s training ground and everyone associated with the club sends their sincere condolences to Ugo’s family and friends at this difficult time. "

  4. Who is it that is throwing themselves to the ground ? I'm stuck at work - leaving in a few to catch the 2nd half.

For clarity, I cant stand ANY PLAYER that cheats to gain advantage. It is unbecoming of sport.

Barca players mate. They were throwing themselves around, disputing absolutely every decision and generally acting like fannies. They began to play a bit of football late in the second half when they saw the referee was strong and not fooled for one second by their nonsense.

  5. " Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte has gone on trial accused of a fraudulent acquisition of the club.

The 46-year-old faces two charges relating to the 2011 purchase, one of fraud and another under the Companies Act.

He has pleaded not guilty to both allegations.

Mr Whyte went on trial at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday after a jury of eight men and seven women was selected.

It is alleged that he pretended to then Rangers owner Sir David Murray, and others, that funds were available to make all required payments to acquire a "controlling and majority stake" in the club.

The funds included clearing an £18m bank debt, £2.8m for the "small tax case" liability, a £1.7m health-and-safety liability and £5m for the playing squad.

The Crown alleges Mr Whyte had only £4m available from two sources at the time but took out a £24m loan from Ticketus against three years of future season ticket sales "which was held subject to an agreement or agreements being entered into between the club and Ticketus after said acquisition".

    'Impartial member'

The second charge under the Companies Act centres on the £18m payment between Mr Whyte's Wavetower company and Rangers to clear a Bank of Scotland debt.

Mr Whyte is being represented by Donald Findlay QC, while Alex Prentice QC is leading the prosecution team.

After being picked, Judge Lady Stacey asked the jury to "consider matters" before evidence was to be heard in the case.

She said: "There has been some degree of publicity about Mr Whyte and Rangers - putting it at its broadest - over the last number of years.

"Do you know Mr Whyte? Do you know anyone personally who may be a witness?

"During May 2010 and May 2011 (time of charges), were you a shareholder, bond holder of season ticket holder of Rangers?

"Ask yourself is there any good reason why you cannot be an impartial member of this jury."

The judge also encouraged jurors to "put out of mind" anything they may have read or heard previously about the case.

After a short break, none of the men and women selected had to be excused.

    The trial continues. "

  7. Meanwhile the deluded tramp beggar fool JJ continues telling lies while maybe finally realising that his earlier lies might just see him dragged up before the judge. --

" My coverage of the impending Craig Whyte trial has put a spoke in the wheel of COPFS. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service are evidently avid readers of this site. They seem to hang on my every word. COPFS have become somewhat exercised in regard to my insights which they have deemed to be “incendiary”. They instructed Police Scotland to contact members of my family to advise me, in the nicest possible terms, ‘to back the fuck off or face the consequences‘.

My elderly mother who is fast approaching her 80th year had no idea that I had received credible death threats. No mother wants to be informed that others are hell-bent on murdering their children. In consultation with my father we agreed to keep this information from her. However Police Scotland let the cat out of the bag. My mother is ‘shattered‘ by the news.

I have been advised in the strongest possible terms to take down three blogs which pertain to the trial:

    1. Craig Whyte – Fighting Fire with Fire.

    2. An Open Letter To Craig Whyte.

    3. Will The Weapons Grade Rhetoric aimed at SDM be Whyte-hot?

No-one from COPFS or Police Scotland is questioning the accuracy of my reportage. The problem is that it’s too accurate. "

    :laugh2: What a clown.

  8. That mob have been doing the same thing since I started watching football and I'd assume even before that. Stein was forever in the papers whining about referees.

Given that their current squad is packed with players each worth in excess of £20/30 million while not one of our players would earn a place in their team does make me wonder what the fuss is all about.

A referee mistake in the last minute giving us a win would be delightful. :flute:

  9. For a prime example of cheat and win at any cost - switch on to the Barca v Juventus match right now.

Why any side with the talent of Barcelona feels the need to act like this defies logic. Just get on with it and try to win the match ffs.

  10. Years and years of watching Rangers playing in Europe led to me despising cheats. In the 60's and 70's Eastern European, Turkish and Greek sides were my pet hates due to the diving and cheating going on. The Germans got it down to a fine art later.

I've even came to going right off some of our own for cheating. Lafferty and Garner can feck right off as far as I'm concerned.

  11. Do we yet know what whyte is charged with,or like Findlay stated in the last court fiasco are we still waiting on the CO furnishing the court with charges.

I have absolutely no faith in the CO/PF offices to secure anything after this case has collapsed from conspiracy to last man standing.

and imo there will be others facing charges once Whyte's trial is finished.

Fraud and one charge under the Companies Act.

  13. My dad knew Ally McLeod from BB days and always hated him. Ally got his chance because my dads older brother who played for, it was either Shawfield Juniors or Rutherglen Glencairn , got badly injured and then called into National Service. It was my uncle that Thirds wanted to sign.

A thing I remember was the wee snack shack - the pies were brilliant. There were also holes all around the fencing. No need to pay to get into the match.

My friends and I got into Cathkin pavillion the week after the club shut down. The old dressing rooms had been previously trashed but there were old match tickets and things on the floor. We took a couple of the clothes hooks off the walls thinking they might be worth something some day.

  14. LOL how many businesses has he actually got which are trading & making money?

None. Zero. Nilch. Nada. He never has had.

Duck and dive.Max out the Visa. Buy a company. Sook the lifeblood out of it. Transfer the assets and disappear.

A cheap chiseler and no more. I just pray he takes Murray with him.

  15. In legal circles Findlay is regarded as the best in court. He s attention to non-legal technical detail in the most complex cases is what apparently marks him out.

Sorry Walter but that isn't true. Findlay is a brilliant orator but doesn't have the mental capacity to carry out true debates.

The instructing solicitor is the one doing all the work. Findlay is only there to put the lawyers points across and that is where he is strong. The prosecution QC will tear Findlay a new erse if what I'm being told by those who are in that field are correct.

In my opinion for this case Findlay, working on behalf of Whyte will be trying to blame everybody else. This isn't a murder - there are paper trails which will end at Whyte.
