  1. If my cup was half-full, I could envisage that should BDO lose the EBT case, they will whip up another panel and review the decision of the LNS one and twist them to their comfort.

You do wonder who the SFA and SPFL is actually responsible to? You also wonder why the rest of the Premiership teams and their management let themselves drawn by the nose down the green-grey garden path time and again, as if they can not survive without them? You wonder about the apparent conflict of interest with so many staff at the SFA and SPFL, who have ties to the Yahoos, and no-one is willing to talk about that? And you wonder why leaks about all these machinations simply won't appear in any Wikileaks form et al ...

What happens with the EBT case doesn't matter DB. Certain comments and productions produced during the case ongoing at Glasgow high court have left us wide open. The chorus has started up again and it wouldn't surprise me the singers were successful this time.

  2. I would hope that our referees took note. One club and one club alone was responsible for our officials going on strike. The newspapers only hinted at who caused it last time.

A referee sent Brown off for as clear a red card offence as you'll ever see. He appeals on a holiday weekend allowing him to play in the next match and then his appeal hearing decide the referee was wrong.

Hit the streets with your whistle and flags again guys - only this time NAME the club you're unhappy with.

  3. “For absolute clarity, as the Scottish Youth FA is the employing organisation for youth football in Scotland. The responsibility for PVG checks in youth football rests with the Scottish Youth FA.

"For absolute clarity Celtic Boys Club is a separate entity from Celtic FC . "

FFS , you'd think they'd shell out for different script writers.

  4. Souness did do it v Dynamo Kiev with us. We won 2-0 Falco and Mcoist scored. I was I govan stand that night. We had been beaten 1-0 in first leg.

There was another match coop, Italian side ?? where we were stopped from doing it.

  5. "NEWCASTLE and West Ham have both been raided by police over alleged transfer dealings with “dozens of arrests including managing director Lee Charnley”, according to reports.

HMRC is said to have apprehended a number of men within football for suspected tax and national insurance fraud, according to Sky Sports.

Cops swooped in on St James’ Park and the London Stadium last night as part of the operation.

The investigation has also reached Ligue 1, with French clubs also being looked into.

A statement from HMRC read: “HMRC has arrested several men working within the professional football industry for a suspected Income Tax and National Insurance fraud.

“180 HMRC officers have been deployed across the UK and France today. Investigators have searched a number of premises in the North East and South East of England and arrested the men and also seized business records, financial records, computers and mobile phones.

“The French authorities are assisting the UK investigation, have made arrests and several locations have been searched in France.

“This criminal investigation sends a clear message that, whoever you are, if you commit tax fraud you can expect to face the consequences. As this is an ongoing investigation HMRC is unable to provide any further detail at this time.”

  6. You can, we have done it as have Alloa and others.

There was mention made at the Hampden game where the commentator said, "Of course the pitch is exactly the same size as all others." ??

Maybe a rule change or a standard applies in the top division ?

I remember Souness wanted to do it in a European match but got stopped.

  7. I can confirm that Pete & Son have paid, bringing the total sold to 8.

However, I see no point in prolonging the agony.

If there is no more interest in the next 48 hours I will be compelled, however reluctantly, to cancel.

Throw the money into a kitty and we'll go get pished.

  8. But we have had penalties being given for far less clear cut not deliberate hand-balls, haven't we?

BTW, Tav said after the game that Griffiths also told him that he didn't think it was a penalty, now the rhat has refuted this and said 100%. No wonder here. No wonder either if Tav is being hauled in front of the beaks for saying that Robertson made that call a bit too quickly - after being pressured all week.

Imo the Tavernier tackle wasn't a penalty - he got the ball before touching the player.

But while we're on about refereeing decisions, I thought Collum was ok yesterday. We could and probably should have been a man down shortly after kick off.

  9. It wasn't deliberate though.

And if it isn't deliberate then it isn't a penalty. Rab is then saying it prevented Miller getting a goal scoring opportunity. That doesn't matter. It wasn't deliberate therefore it wasn't a penalty.

  10. I didn't say it was a deliberate handball. It is handball nevertheless & a penalty should have been awarded as he prevented Miller getting the ball. Unless the rules have changed & penalties aren't awarded if the handball isn't deliberate of course

Rab - " In Fifa's Laws of the Game 2005, Law 12 says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)".

  11. If we can get someone up front who can get 25-30 goals in the SPFL we will challenge them.

    Won't be easy but that's what's required

If we had a forward who could score 15 a season instead of a striker who's only purpose is to take throw ins or to miss give me's by using a big square head me might be closer than you think mate.

  12. Was Waghorn really offside after our one good move (well played Hyndman)? Looked onside to me

Looked to me as if his upper body was in front of the last defender - offside if the rules apply. Agreed though, excellent play from Hyndman.

  13. It's currently in our interest for the sheep to win. If they win then 4th place guarantees a Europa league spot and we only need another 3 points to be guaranteed a minimum 4th place.

Imo we'll get at least 3rd place mate. Possibly better.
