  1. You were at the opposite end of the table from me mate so you probably didn't notice that I spent the entire time in there minus shoes. The staff certainly gave me strange looks when I was heading back and forth to the gents. As for the lawyer - he's a family lawyer who happens to be part of the family. That's probably the only reason I didn't get the jail. "Heated exchanges" don't go half way to describing how things went.
  2. Well done BH for organising an excellent day. I enjoyed meeting the troops. Sorry I had to make an escape but my new shoes were killing me. I ended up sitting on a bus with them off before walking barefoot to my local, having a couple of haufs before calling a taxi to get me up the road. Believe me, it's no fun walking down a garden path of stone chips with no shoes on. Both heels are severely blistered and I won't be going anywhere for a few days. Flip flop Loyal.
  3. Feck me ! I hope I'm not having a bevvy with a shower of woosies................. at the prices that place charges too ! I dare say I'll make up the shortfall for 4 or 5.
  4. Govanhill is the sooside mate. Gorbals and southwards all the way to Cathcart are sooside as far as my family are concerned. I always said I couldn't possibly reside on the north side of the river so spent all my years in the south.
  5. You must see my face when you look in the mirror mate.
  6. Rangers 3-0. FGS - Tavernier.
  7. I've an appointment with my family solicitors so will make my own way to the restaurant from the sooside.
  8. " Byline: CHARLES LAVERY Chief Reporter EXCLUSIVE CELTIC have severed business links with Jim Torbett, four years after he was jailed for molesting three young footballers. The club will not renew a controversial pounds 250,000-a-year contract with a firm linked to the paedophile founder of Celtic Boys' Club. "
  9. Have Club1872 said anything yet ?
  10. How was your extended holiday on the moon JH ? It was always known that he got the money before owning the club mate. He couldn't have got us otherwise. Today saw the confirmation of the pension money used via Earley and Sykes [the guy mentioned in the "Men Who sold the Jerseys" programme]. Which all shows where the £375000 that supposedly went to Banstead from Rangers really ended up.
  11. That is the allegation of fraud which he is currently facing at the high court today mate.
  12. I met Mr Symon a few times when I was young. My Grandad was a friend of his and could never speak highly enough of him. A friends dad used to arrange Rangers flights and became friendly over the years with both Mr Struth and Scott Symon and had nothing but praise for both.
  13. A month mate. EDIT - I see what you mean. That can't be right.
  14. I love European away trips. Reminds me, I'll need to get my expired passport sorted out.
  15. "Rangers defender Clint Hill will be released at the end of the season as manager Pedro Caixinha's plans major changes at Ibrox. Hill, who has made 31 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club this season, was informed by Caixinha of the decision on Tuesday morning and now intends to find a new club to extend his career. The 38-year-old is best known for a six-year stint at QPR in which he helped the club win promotion to the Premier League and has also played for Tranmere, Oldham, Stoke City, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. 16. I never had much time for Advocaat. His pig-headedness in thinking he was always correct when it was obvious his game plan wasn't working really annoyed me.
  17. Guys here looking for wholesale changes to our squad are fated to be disappointed imo. The money simply isn't there to bring in 8 or 9 new men. Journeymen approaching the end of their careers and maybe 1 or 2 of Pedros pals and that will be it. The main question will be the wasters and under-talented players we currently employ - will they move on ? I fear not. Next season we'll be going for 2nd in the league. That will be seen as a success and anybody looking for more is deluding themselves. Again, imo only. The following season will be the tester as to how good our manager is.
  18. Wallace , same as Tavernier, isn't a full back. If the managers he's had wanted him to be a full back they'd tell him not to cross the half way line. Both have suffered due to the incompetence of our various centre halfs who are there to cover when they move forward. Big Broadfoot and to a certain extent Whittaker were the same.
  19. In my opinion we would be silly to get rid of Wallace. I think he's a terrific player, if somewhat suspect at defending. Certainly given the limited amount of funds which will be available to improve the squad we won't be able to find anything near to Wallaces ability.
  20. You were lucky and saw a different match from the rest of us Scott. We were absolutely dreadful before McKay came on. Dreadful. Thistle could have been out of sight until the last 10 minutes.
  21. That's something I've never understood about those Rangers-haters online and in the media - why does the perceived "conning" of the Rangers support by Level 5 bother them so much ?
  22. Meanwhile, former "Rangers fan", professional beggar and full time fool JJ has his say on yesterdays game - " A hat tip is due to Andrew Dallas for ensuring that Rangers Lite’s late pressure paid off in the 94th minute. It was a sterling effort on his part. A deft touch, unlike the blunderbus that ensured Rangers Lite a replay against Albion Rovers in the 96th minute when the ball and the Rovers keeper were both bundled into the net. Did father Hugh school his son in the Rangers-facing dark arts? The apple has not fallen far from the poisoned tree. " Hurting much Paddy ?
  23. " The Hoops midfielder*held aloft a top which read ‘Love Celtic, Hate Racism’ after the final whistle. " That's good. Maybe now his rancid club could send an apology to Mark Walters.
  24. Hyndman is injured guys. Rangers 3 - 1. FGS - Miller.
