  1. I know someone, a really big bluenose who has dealings on at least a weekly basis with Forrester and who tells me his attitude is an absolute disgrace, is not only relaxed about his position at Ibrox but is perfectly happy with it.

  2. There was an article saying that Aberdeen have secured some American based investor who may get heavily involved next season. If he does not hurry, he'll have a monumental job at his hands, given that their best players are offski and the manager may follow suit.

But why care about Aberdeen? TLB has stated that he aims for 2nd place in the league next season!!!

Unless there is emergency treatment immediately at the sheepdome they'll be lucky to get a top 6 finish. They won't get 2nd or even 3rd imo.

  3. Rangers race for UEFA deadline

Rangers hope to complete the signings of Eduardo Herrera, Carlos Pena and Alfredo Morelos prior to the June 19 UEFA registration deadline for the Europa League qualifiers.

    https://www.rangersobserver.com/news/2017/6/13/rangers-race-for-uefa-deadline

Be worth a bet on the SFA deciding they are going to take a "planned" 3 week break to cover selliks tour of Japan so won't be available to deal with our required registrations. :shifty:

  4.

Hull have been linked with Josh Windass, while Rob Kiernan and Harry Forrester have been told they can go.

It looks like its not only Warburton who can't recognise a football player.

Forrester especially will look back on a wasted opportunity to prove himself.

The other two wouldn't have made my secondary school team.

  5. Meanwhile, English trio Fleetwood, MK Dons and Peterborough are all weighing up moves for Josh Windass.

Rangers boss Caixinha is looking to offload several players before the season starts.

Former Accrington Stanley ace Windass is one, just a year into the four-year deal he signed 12 months ago.

Uwe Rosler could make a move for the 23-year-old as he looks to add to his Fleetwood squad after they lost in the play-off semi-finals.

Robbie Neilson is also thought to be keeping tabs as he enters his first summer transfer window since taking charge at MK Dons.

Grant McCann is another believed to be considering whether to try to tempt Windass to Posh.

Windass is one of several fringe men expected to exit over the close-season to make way for Caixinha’s signings.

Rob Kiernan, Joe Garner, Martyn Waghorn, Matt Crooks, Andy Halliday and Harry Forrester all face uncertain futures.

Every one of them can go as far as I'm concerned. They won't be missed and I say that without seeing any of the new guys kick a ball.

  6. Maybe. We didn't try so it's all moot, but had we tried, with all the 'new club' bullshit going on, and with us having been thrown out of the SPL I think we'd have got into England. Had we been denied we could have challenged it legally and would have won, I think (I'm not a real lawyer, don't take legal advice from me on other matters).

You already have Welsh sides in England, and not just the big well known ones either, Merthyr Town, a Welsh side, joined the Western League, part of the English pyramid for example just five years ago. Closer to home Tweedmouth Rangers joined the East of Scotland league just last season after playing in the Northumberland League, they are based in England. Likewise Gretna and Annan both played in Cumbria for years. So there's precedent before you look to Ireland, and further afield where there are countless clubs playing in leagues outside of their country. The SFA might not have liked it but I can't see how they could stop it if we'd forced the issue. Remember this was the level we'd have been looking to join.

Apart from the historic thing with the Welsh clubs playing in English leagues because there was no Welsh league at the time, stop and think it through for a couple of minutes John - the SFA say no and we're going to take them to court ? Thereby we involve UEFA and the English FA. Do you think the English would back us up when UEFA get involved ?

As for the level we'd be looking to join at - c'mon man. This isn't Merthyr or Tweedmouth we're talking about. It's RANGERS. A whole different kettle of fish.

  7. I can't see that when they or the SPL were refusing us a licence. It was our choice to ask the lower leagues. i am sure we could have just as easy went to another association.

All football at every level played in Scotland is under the auspices of the SFA Pete.

The SPL refused to let us into their wee club so we applied to the SPFL. But both of those organisations come under the SFA who report to UEFA and FIFA when it comes to euro or international matches.

In the end, no matter what league we were playing in, if we wanted to play at Ibrox we'd need the SFA to sanction it.

  8. Five years ago, when everyone in Scottish football was trying to kill us, we should have applied to join the Northern Premier League, the semi-pro, level 8 and bottom of the ladder, and begin our journey up the English pyramid.

Football rules did not allow that and we'd have needed SFA approval to play our home games in Scotland whether in a Scottish league or not. I don't think for one second they'd have given us that permission.

  9. I'm sure attention will turn to EBT gate going to the Supreme court. Anything for more donations!

I saw that other obsessive Doleman had the begging bowl out on mank forums for his expenses during the Whyte trial.

How much does it cost to get a bus into Glasgow to attend a trial that costs nothing to get into ?

    Beggars, the lot of them.

  10. According to the tramp fool beggar JJ, Johnston is a King appointment as the others on the board were ready to get rid of King.

I wonder what the obsessed dumpling will find to talk about now that the Whyte trial is over and our train is firmly back on the rails again.

  11. Pleased to see him getting ripped in that shyster Whyte, but disappointed he couldn't give some equally deserving criticism of David Murray. Seems Sir Duped is bulletproof from any sort of ire from ex directors, managers and players, only the rank and file supporter see and criticise Murray as the principal architect of the fall and subsequent rape of the club.

It's probably not wise to criticise "El Presidente' For Life".

  12. There was a stushie way back when we were accused of undermining the case for Hampden's upgrade. Can't remember the details.

The reality is Hampden's a very expensive upkeep for the few big games that are played there

SFA and the spiders will move

Hampden will get sold for housing. Queens Park will go to Lesser Hampden. The SFA will move to the Paedodome.

It's been on the cards for years.

Back when Hampden got renovated it should have moved out to Linwood or Coatbridge or similar. Somewhere with quick road routes. Having a national stadium in the centre of a housing estate just doesn't work these days. Too many cars .

  13. Daly report there on BBC Scotland contained an interview with Johnston where he said Whyte should have faced charges of murder - the murder of Rangers.

Murray didn't come out well. It looks like excerpts from a Daly special to me.

  14.

The prosecution clearly think he is guilty otherwise they wouldn't have been prosecuting in the first place.

Somewhere along the line the case fell apart. Think back to the number of folk arrested by the police. Then we have them all being free of charges. Later we have a judge criticising the charges levelled against Whyte - TWICE.

Findlay was quite correct when in his summing up he referred to the evidence against Whyte being a simple case disproven. There were emails between Murray, his solicitor and the club mentioning Whyte and Ticketus.

Whyte paid LBG, gave Murray his quid and handed over money for transfers and ground repairs as well as the small tax case. After that it's simple -------- who is he supposed to have defrauded if Murray knew about Ticketus ?

Imo Whyte, Murray and half a dozen others should have stood in the dock facing charges. But today will be the end of the whole sorry debacle . I don't think there will be too many at the crown office disappointed when a line is drawn under the lot.

The panto season is coming up so I expect Whyte will threaten to sue half the world.

    He won't though.

  15. given SDM's virtual hold on the company.

From what I read while following the trial Johnston and the others were made out to be extending Bains contract and inserting conditions into Walters without Murray being made aware. The point seemed to be that Murray had other larger problems to deal with and left the board to get on with things.

  16. See, if this is what was said (no reason to doubt your memory powers FS) it is amazing how one fan will hear the exact wording yet another will use it as meaning we have no debt and then call into question the statement.

If he said no third party debt then he is, from what we can tell, accurate and correct - all the debt is to the shareholders at this point.

I think we have no third party debt simply because we are have no bank overdraft facility and are unable to find any lenders. King's current predicament where he hasn't offered 20p a share means he, any company he's involved with and everyone connected with him is being "cold shouldered".

I read the above on several dozen mank forums and have no experience in company law so it is possibly a complete load of guff.

  17. " Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has flown back to Glasgow accompanied by Portuguese pair Fabio Cardoso and Dalcio.

Caixinha was spotted boarding a flight from Lisbon to Glasgow as he moves closer to adding the two new signings ahead of pre-season training.

Defender Cardoso, 23, signed a four-year deal with Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria de Setubal last year.

Benfica forward Dalcio, 21, is expected to sign on loan for the Ibrox side.

Caixinha has already added 35-year-old defender Bruno Alves and former Aberdeen captain Ryan Jack to his squad, while Mexican midfielder Carlos Pena arrived in Glasgow last week for talks.

Rangers begin their Europa League campaign on 29 June. "

  18. Odd place for a Mark Daly mention, I'd have thought - unless it's a documentary rewriting the one he first did on us and telling the truth this time and also somehow freeing us from the Ashley deal.

............Which doesn't seem at all likely.

The verdict in the Whyte trial will be in by then leaving Daly free to say what he wants.
