  1. Yes, he did. We also had several more earlier in our history.

People like Muirhead, Haggerty and the tarred one have been told and know all about players like the Eire captain who played for us. Their agenda however doesn't allow them to pass such information on to their equally deluded friends. They'd rather just wrap themselves up in hatred for hatreds sake.

  2. I personally know none of the candidates-------none.

Ican say this with confidence though-----Mr Allan Harris wont be the only one with a CHEQUERED past.

The young lad - I like the cut of his jib and he's different in background from the rest. I'll certainly be giving him consideration for a vote.

  3. When you were on the board of the RST you were surely in favour of supporter representation? Are you saying that such supporters can't ever sit in the directors' box?

Dell, this is where perhaps my view differs from some of our support. The guys elected to serve the interests of the fans will I'm sure put in long hours working to protect our interests. In return they will get the odd chance to meet those who hold power and maybe the odd player too. That is the reward and that's where it should stop. There should be no sitting in the directors box. They are there to protect the interests of me and other supporters handing over our money. Yes we are all Rangers fans together but I don't want to see any cosy relationships developing. It's more difficult to fall out with a friend when apparent disputes arise. Sorry my friend.

  4. A fair majority of the usual suspects named in that article. What a surprise. Well done the author. It shows just how much planning is going on with these eejits. Gillivan had an article the other day where he referred to the hag and the nuj in relation to the same subject.

I hope no Rangers fan in the not too distant future when we're back at our rightful place ever forgets what those in the media said or indeed how the football authorities tried to murder us.

  5. I got as far as "i'm actually not against gangs but what they do"

    utter drivel.

I never got past she's an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Glasgow in the initial statement, nuff said....

According to a friend I met last night who was a cop, she's never met an angry man in her life.

  6. If you want me to spell out my concern it is that the Club are seeking to mould the merged group to their liking.

If there is the slightest hint of this being true I would hope the Club are told to back off. I am not handing my money over for yet another board member to decide what happens with it. If what you say is in any way a fact then I can see another decent scheme losing members and their money. The fans, without interference should be running this scheme.

  7. "As well as her current position, Karyn has also worked in the National Health Service and Her Majesty's Prisons, as well as in Africa. She has a BSc and MSc in Psychology, is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and a Fellow by distinction of the Faculty of Public Health."

I seem to remember a documentary on tv a few years ago where she was a cop. If it is the same woman I think it's a bit strange they make no mention of it in that background.

  8. " Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told The Scottish Sun that he hopes to have an arrangement soon over the futures of Nicky Law, Dean Shiels and Nicky Clark.

The Gers manager saw his side draw 0-0 at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon, but they are top of the Scottish Championship, and are the avourites to win the title and return to the top flight of Scottish football.

Should Rangers get promoted, fans will be expecting some major incomings. Warburton has overseen some big signings already, with the likes of Wes Foderingham, Rob Kiernan, James Tavernier and Martyn Waghorn all playing big roles this season, whilst deadline day signing Michael O'Halloran should also be a massive addition, given his record for St. Johnstone.

Players coming in will be vital, but players going out will also be on the agenda, with three players coming to the end of their contracts at Ibrox, before you even factor in the six-month deals for January signings Maciej Gostomski and Harry Forrester.

Nicky Law, Dean Shiels and Nicky Clark are fringe players under Warburton, and wouldn't get into the Rangers side on a regular basis without injuries - and may look to leave for first-team football in the summer.

Now, manager Warburton has told The Scottish Sun that it's a 'big decision' for Rangers, and hopes to have an arrangement in place soon for all three players, as he knows they all want to play regularly; something Rangers may not be able to offer if they win promotion.

"It’s a balance. Looking at the finances, looking at how the squad is shaping up, where we are next season," said Warburton. "There are many aspects. I am very conscious that we have three guys — Nicky Law, Nicky Clark and Dean Shiels — in that situation. They have been magnificent this season in terms of attitude and work ethic."

  9. Enjoy your holiday mate. I hope Rangers will Goa 8 points clear before your Backa. :)

:) Thanks Pete. I got back last night after a fantastic holiday.

Enjoy your holiday Boaby & probably just as well as I was going to be forced to school you with some facts.

Tip; do not boo at the waiters in India if they are not performing to your satisfaction, as they take it personally & you may find your food and or drink will be contaminated on arrival :-)

:sneaky: I've just read through the thread and am somewhat baffled as to where all those facts are given the guy had umpteen chances to produce some. One decent goal does not a great player/athlete make. Thankfully the days of monster munch and tizer seem to be gone and work in training has arrived.

  10. No Ranger should ever get boo'd from his own fans.

We have enough detractors without our own jumping in and doing their horrid deeds for them.

Yes they should. There were Rangers players even back in the 60's who despite being remembered fondly now were simply not producing as expected when we paid a good amount of money for. I'm not talking about a boy coming through the youngster plan but guys we paid serious money for. Kris Boyd last season would be a decent point of reference. For Boyd last season read Adam. Useless.

  11. Here's one to whet your appetite. Adam sold from Blackpool £9m. Ferguson sent on loan Fleetwood Mac or some other pishy non league team. Want more?

What did he get transferred from Rangers for ? I couldn't give a monkeys what Blackpool sold him for.

  12. I was just pointing out some facts. I.m not going to start a debate on Charlie Adam, although what I will say is that he was booed on to the park and was subject to the groupthink that afflicts gers fans when selecting their boo boy. We have form for it as well Adam, Hutton,Lovenkrands to name but a few. Some of the numnuts sitting round me have started it with Mckay, who fits the bill perfectly for being a boo boy (young talented & didn't cost anything) but thankfully the boy has had a couple of blinders recently so hopefully they will leave off him.

I could back up my point by issuing some more facts, but I guess they would be of no interest?

    Yours Charlie :-)

Charlie Adam quite rightly got booed . He had an inflated estimate of his own talents while wearing a Rangers jersey. Also correctly he got punted. I'd be interested in reading your "facts" as none appear so far in what you've posted. There are no "facts" when it comes to Adams performances for Rangers. Apart that is from the fact he was garbage. I sat week after week watching that chancer pick up a wage while he was impersonating a professional footballer. He's given himself a shake and is worth money now ? Good on him. But I'd put money on him still being a lazy unfit player if he was still with us right now.

  13. Here's an idea - why not stick to talking garbage about something you know about ? Neither were good enough imo. That's why they went.

No hint of irony there Boaby eh? Transfer fees in excess of £30m just about combined. Adam credited by some as having scored the best goal & pass ever seen in Premiership. Come off it.

Are you seriously saying that either or both together ever was worth anywhere near £30 million given their displays in Rangers jerseys ? Were you at the game caller ?

  14. On this day back in 1969 Jimmy Millar scored four goals against Duns in the second rd of the Scottish cup when we won 9-0....

I was in the main stand for that match. I think Duns are out of the game now.

  15. "Celtic legend David Provan has criticised Rangers in The Scottish Sun for selling Charlie Adam and Ross McCormack.

Midfielder Adam, now on the books of Premier League side Stoke City, joined Blackpool from Rangers in 2009.

Fulham’s McCormack, who can play as a striker or as a winger, left the Gers for Motherwell in 2006.

Provan, who played for Celtic in the 1970s and 1980s, has criticised Rangers for selling the two England-based players “for buttons”.

“Came across Charlie Adam at Stoke last weekend,” the former Scotland international winger wrote in The Scottish Sun. “He is struggling to get into Mark Hughes’ side right now, but Stoke’s £4million capture of the then Liverpool midfielder took Adam’s transfer fees north of £10m.

“Elsewhere Middlesbrough have had an £8m offer for Ross McCormack turned down but will up their bid. With 17 goals already this season McCormack’s £11m switch from Leeds has proved good business for Fulham. Makes you wonder why Rangers allowed both Murray Park graduates to leave for buttons.”
