  1. So howcome after he 'sold' Rangers Murray was still getting money for projects from LBG ? A golf course for one IIRC

Was that maybe his wee payback for selling Rangers?

Rab, taking the scenario of a cozy relationship between Murray and LBG to its limit would not explain the following, " It is also believed Lloyds Banking Group will now write off the remaining bank debt due from MIH, stated at the 2013 year end to be £346.6 million. "

The link here alludes to the deals you mention - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/business/business-news/exclusive-sir-david-murray-director-4991621

  2. Why did Murray feel the need to dump us into the pocket of Whyte?

Because he was forced to do so? To earn Muir his £1m?

Murray dumped us because he wanted to. It's as simple as that. He got a prize mug who was working to his own ends to buy us for a quid while taking on all responsibility for settling the tax case in the event we lost it. In other words he ran away knowing full well what would happen to us.

  3. Yes SDM had got into serious debt with LBG but Rangers debt represented just 3 percent of the MIH debt.

Why were LBG so fixated with Rangers debt as opposed to the many times greater MIH debt?

Why were they do keen to get Rangers sold to the first chancer who came along to get Muir his £1m !

    You decide

You just answered the point I was making Rab. If Rangers represented only 3% of the MIH debt to LBG why did Murray feel the need to dump us into the pocket of Whyte ?

Murray got himself into debt to LBG - his fault. It didn't matter whether LBG wanted rid of us. They could do nothing unless Murray signed the contracts. Murray walked away and should be held personally responsible for the debts remaining to companies connected to our club.

  4. Yes I understand, but you would think that at the highest level there is more of a case for "leave to appeal" being heard by a different panel. Then you would have a jury of their peers so to speak ruling on whether or not an appeal should be allowed against their decision and then the Supreme Court making the ulitimate decision.

I think I'm correct in thinking that appeals went from a 3 man panel to a 5 man panel up to a 7 man panel if there were serious points of law to be debated. I dare say though that's all changed now because of the Supreme court thingy.

  5. And if Murray was forced to sell by LBG ?

On the day Whyte got Rangers the news was greeting with incredulity amongst the Scottish Banking fraternity(including LBG)who knew all about Whyte. They weren't wrong.

Unless they strapped Murray to a chair and started caressing him with an electric cattle prod he wasn't forced to do anything Rab. Murray liked to flash his wealth. He was never out the papers bumming about it. The EBT idea was down to him. His shifting wealth to the property market just before it all crashed was another mistake he made. He had the bare faced cheek to syphon off parts of our club for his own interests but then dump us to the first penniless fly-by-night who appeared just to get out of the debts he had left us with. To top it all off he then comes out with the lie that he didn't know what Whyte was all about. Jesus Christ, there were Rangers fans talking online about what was coming before the ink was dry on the contract. Murray got himself into serious debt with LBG. That was HIS fault and nobody elses. Murray lost nothing. We did him a lot of good. That charlatan should be struck from the history of Rangers.

  6. And if it is found we were indeed the victim of a fraudulent acquisition by Whyte those ten SPL must be brought to account for that decision to expel Rangers from the then SPL.

They will have questions to answer and even more so if the BTC goes in Rangers favour at the SC.

That Whyte got hold of Rangers is down to David Murray and nobody else. Murray is to blame for what happened to us.

  7. Most successful businessmen tend to put aside personal relationships and feeling, to try to work out the best deal for the company, even if it means dealing with people they hate.

Ashley is coming under increasing pressure from SD shareholders, government departments and others. He is fast becoming toxic. While I want him out of our club I think that King has played a blinder here - he holds out an olive branch with a view to incresing both companies profits. I suspect Ashley will refuse. More fool him.

  8. Everything is falling down or failing around him except us so it will be harder to get shot of him so he is going to be the burden on the club.

I can't see it that way at all Mac. Yes he has the retail contracts which imo will be looked at in great detail after Greens criminal trial. But apart from that I don't see him holding any influence at all on what we do. When his own company eventually crashes which it undoubtably will do I'd think a decent offer to buy out our contract will succeed.

  9. I can't understand the fear felt by fans regards this tie...are C*ltic a moving ruthless machine ? Are they winning important games as they strive towards a tainted 5 in a row? Are they on course for a magnificent treble? Are they taking qualification for the CL as a given? If not then surely the EL can be won?

We'll win that game and everyone will be in shock except the Rangers family. Can't understand some on here having doubt about facing a side with a very poor record on show for all to see.

They are an absolute disaster with a squad of players who have lost all confidence in the clown picking their team and are there for the taking. If we blitz them as we did yesterday we will win the match. A reserved approach will see us lose imo.

The above discounts the usual referee anomalies which usually appear in those matches.

  10. If you turn away from the tv you would swear a St Mirren game was on. The only time you hear the Hivs fans is when they are howling and complaining about some decision not going their way. Are you St Mirren in disguise ? :fingers:

  11. we need to show solidarity with our fellow supporters at Newcastle and Bolton

Like us they are trying to escape the Ashley shackles

As long as those clubs remain cash cows for Ashley by staying in the top division in the English leagues they will remain under the spell of his companies. When they go down and he perhaps has to put his hand into his own pocket he may well loosen his grip and give the fans some hope. As for anyone connected with anything to do with Lennon - serves you right imo. Walk away until they sack him - even if he wins you the World Cup. He's a cancerous bastard . No good for any decent football club.

  12. Have the BBC formed a partnership with Pixar ? For the first time in years I watched Sportscene and saw highlights of a match which I attended but just didn't recognise. The free-flowing Dundee play that all led up to a free kick or a throw in, why was that shown ? The numerous Rangers attacks, why were they edited out ?

Keep the bastards out. The agenda is ongoing.

  13. I don't believe I said they had that power. Obviously they can't tell Rangers to sell any tickets to away fans only the SPFL can do that nor can they tell Rangers to sell more tickets than Rangers wan to sell; but they can limit the number of tickets sold for any particular area and they can enforce whatever they want in terms of segregation.

The police will also take into account the access and egress to/from the ground. That more than anything else will probably determine which parts of the stadium the skidmarks are placed in.

  14. " Clearly it rankles with some that we, Rangers, are still here with our history intact and the best way to protect this proud heritage is to ignore our detractors. "

No. Not for me. I had high hopes listening to some of the spouting done before the current b oard took power that there would be no return to Murray behaviour.

"Ignore our detractors " ? Yes, that'll teach them.
