I remember hearing they went 5 years without losing a match.

Muirhead uses the headline on the Record front page to start spinning the web again - " The EBT scandal and subsequent fiasco surrounding the handling of it by the Scottish football authorities, saw calls for Rangers to be stripped of honours won during the years that they used the EBT scheme, with accusations of ‘financial doping’ being aimed at the Ibrox side. These were rejected by the commission set up by the SPL and chaired by Lord Nimmo Smith, who used the initial ruling from the First Tier Tribunal [which found in favour of Rangers], to decide that the club did not gain a ‘sporting advantage’ but fined them £250,000 for failing to declare side letters to the authorities for 11 years. Since then HMRC appealed two court rulings and won the last won – which saw liquidators of ‘traditional Rangers’ ask for a leave to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court, which was granted. This latest episode surrounding the Rangers financial debacle and tax avoidance issue will pour more fuel on the flames of those demanding that the Ibrox side be stripped of honours won during the EBT years. Various national funding ie lottery, the SFA were selling 50p scratch cards to the public for years, etc. I think the SFA got their lease to use Hampden with no charge going to Queens Park in return for funding.

As someone who lived in the area and sometimes nowadays returns I have to disagree there mate. Pre match is fine. The problems start after the games when traffic comes to a standstill and trains just do not have the capacity. Next time you are there stand back and look at how many folk are heading off on foot walking for miles. The mistake imo was made years ago when the option of moving out to a brand new stadium with quick connections to motorways. Somewhere like the Linwood byepass or perhaps Motherwell direction.

The new regulations brought in at the last budget point towards HMRC specifically targeting individuals who benefited from such schemes - from what I read, even if the schemes from the company/trust were not breaking any laws.

As I said on the post about the Suns article, a relative who knows about the subject told me it was garbage. Cops attending matches don't receive any briefing until the day of the game. The police planning department are the only ones who will have looked at the matter - and their main concern is the logistics of the whole thing.

Most fans imo do not really care about supporters board matters as they quite simply don't have enough information . Their primary concern is attempting to assist the club in any small way they can. -
Unfortunately they have infested every sphere of our country. Nowhere has escaped.

As forecast on another discussion the day after the Budget. Things must be really slow in the Records editorial department.

There must be someone else pete. Today was my first mention of it here.

That's exactly the response I received a couple of years ago when complaining to them. Don't let it stop you continuing and I sincerely hope you get a result in the end. We didn't.

" Gary Neville has been sacked by Valencia after less than four months in charge. Neville, 41, was appointed head coach of the La Liga club on Dec. 2 but failed to turn their season around. In 16 games in charge of Valencia, Neville won just three games, drew five and lost eight. Los Che currently sit 14th in the table, six points above the relegation zone." http://www.espn.co.uk/football/valencia/story/2840140/gary-neville-sacked-by-valencia There's a surprise.

I was born at Lennox Castle. Nothing to do with mental illness though. It's just that they opened a maternity unit there.

The resolution 12 business is certainly hardening their more extreme fans. Because Rangers are on the way back I think many others amongst their support find our position is not such a laugh and are seriously beginning to worry. -
My grandfather suffered a serious head injury while working in heavy engineering. This affected his "nerves" and I clearly remember as a young child visiting him in Leverndale hospital where they used electric shock treatment to treat him. I think he spent around 3 months there.

They are searching for the bug that gives the tarred one all his made up confidential information from our computers. The City of London police are also seeking his imaginary financial expert in the Square Mile. -

Sportsound had a reporter at the piggery as the teams took the pitch 3 or 4 weeks ago. He said it looked like a crowd of 6000 were within. Naturally another 30 odd thousand were reported to have got through the gates by the time the final whistle blew. -

A packed Celtic Park at their last home match. -
Rangers are already going after Green for the money it cost to defend his action claiming we should pay for his defence in the criminal trial upcoming. I suspect Rangers and BDO to go after several people, companies and organisations if guity verdicts come down.

Gordon Strachan says Lee Wallace is still in with Scotland shout
boabie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
“If Kieran Tierney didn’t make it then we would have no problem in knocking on Lee’s door and he would go right in there, absolutely." Does that not totally sum up the bawbag that is Strapon ? The young mank plays a few good games and watzes into the Scotland squad. Wallace not only plays out of his skin but holds a fledgling team together with very little fuss and is ignored. I am no Wallace lover but he should've been first on that teamsheet. -
The bookie will give you long odds on your being wrong. But as I said, if we go at them , my money like yours will be safe.

Should Denmark win 6-0 or Scotland win by the same score, all 12 substitutes having been used, who would give a monkeys ? Apart that is from the SFA who'd probably tie another 3 years on to Chesneys contract.

Scottish football ‘would be duller without Scott Brown’
boabie replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
When midfielders like Rioch, Masson, etc failed while wearing Scotland jerseys we could at least comfort ourselves in the belief that they were saving themselves for the club games where their wages came from. Brown is just a headless chicken and a liability in every important match Scotland play. -
"Nothing to lose" is the key to me. Go straight at them from kick off and they'll fold. Our defence is missing a couple of pleats but their defence is an accident waiting to happen. As for their next manager - the script is already written. Rangers are back with the SPFL and SFA waiting to assist. The referees are on board. Freemasonry is ready to assist, The tarred one is beginning to bore even the deluded masses with tales of impending financial ruin at Ibrox and needs something to write about........... step forward yellow teeth and bring the hatred back into Scottish football, Liewell has tens of thousands of empty seats that need filling.

For Gods sake, don't mention Zelalem. Again, being honest I won't deny booing our side off at half or full time if it was warranted. But I would never deliberately target one of our players just for the sake of it. Kenny's put in shifts over the years and there were games where he stood out. There was just "something" about him I just couldn't take to. Jim Bett was another for some reason.
