No, never said that. Bassey is a great and obvious example. Bit he cost very little and was given time to mature. He was terrible on his debut but we all know what happened next.

All well and good, but we need players who'll immediately improve our 1st team. Those players should have been the priority this window. Said above no problem with project players but we need quality and need it yesterday.

Yeah agree, he'll probably play for B Team first. I've no issue purchasing project players but not at the expense of strengthening 1st team.

Spending £1.5M of the very little we had to spend on a player who's nowhere near ready is a bit mental tho. But one for the future so mustn't grumble.

Late back to pre-season (due to Euros and his wedding). He posted a pic on his socials last week with "2nd week of pre-season complete" (or something similar).

So over last two days we've heard (very loudly) from Celtic laying the blame firmly at our door for this. I won't hold my breath for our strongly worded rebuttal of these claims.

Conversely after Cantwell turned out for the B Team against Queens Park (IIRC) their manager was very complimentary of Cantwell for his professional manner both to rhe game, his teammates and opposition.

I think most fans do realise and accept this. What we shouldn't accept is how me managed to get into this mess and what the board as doing other than "reducing" the playing staff wage bill to get us out the mess. The ever constant is the fanbase who are fleeced for season ticket money, 4 new kits every season, most expensive CL packages, very expensive EL packages, bombarded by Castore emails etc. The board are to blame for getting us into this situation and they are charged with getting us out of this. I don't believe they are up to the task which should set alarm bells ringing. In my opinion the cracks have been showing for a few years, they are getting alarmingly worse and how long until the whole club collapses?

To be fair, I'm sure it was to do with the settlement agreement that was distributed not reflecting the agreement that was reached by both parties. But with us, you just never know!
