  1. In isolation, that's true, but we've been poor all season. Europe can be taken into consideration yesterday, but not for all our poor performances.
  2. One of my best mates is a Hearts fan and speaking to him after 1st game of the season, I said both Hearts and us looked very unconvincing and that both them and us would struggle this season. Spoke to him again last night and said neither of us have improved from that opening fixture at Tynecastle. Two very poor teams yesterday as they were in the opening game of the season.
  3. Just read Hearts completed the most passes they've ever managed at Ibrox yesterday. Don't know what that means (lack of press, willingness to allow Hearts to pass in certain areas, good marking so they had to ho back/side ways)????
  4. Can't disagree with most of that, but we are now in a situation where fans decided to boo when the manager made the correct decision (to replace Barron). Barron was struggling and when replaced, we regained a little composure and control of the game.
  5. The last successful loans I can remember were Alan McGregor and Charlie Adam. That's why getting them playing in a competitive league structure is so important.
  6. Did they specify which year? Any talk of movement on the other roles?
  7. Any update on the four key positions that have still to be filled? Are the board hoping we'll just forget about them? Horrendous.
  8. I think it's worth remembering the level these youths are playing at. They aren't even playing in a competitive league (another mistake taking them out of the Lowland League). Curtis does appear to be a standout and as far as I'm aware he has been promoted through the levels and into the B-Team and looked promising anytime I've seen him (2 or 3 games). Currently, its hardly a conducive atmosphere for promoting youngstera into our 1st team (not an excuse).
  9. Jefte for me just ahead of Raskin. Slim pickings there after.
  10. We've scored 16 league goals, 6 of those against Ross County. Put that into perspective, that's the same amount as St Johnstone.
  11. An utterly brutal performance today with only Raskin and Jefte get pass parks for me.
  12. We really are a very poor football team.
  13. Good start, early goal from someone called Dessers, then meh.....
  14. Slight consolation is Hearts also played on Thursday but didn't have the "travel". Just never know what you're going to get with Rangers these days (well 1 good half and 1 bad seems to be the only constant). Remembrance Day so opportunity to honour the real heroes. 🙏
  15. Not an acceptance but the reality of where we are and where we are heading. The reality is wr probably made more money being annihilated in the CL Group stages than getting to the EL Final - I know what is the better achievement and more enjoyable.
  16. Think this is just a transfer of roles - believe Taylor is still CFO (oops, see @Frankie post above). https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/24709581.rangers-make-important-behind-scenes-appointment/
  17. We couldn't beat a very ordinary Kiev team in the qualifying rounds.
  18. Barron or Raskin for me, and gone for Raskin. Souttar was OK but thought he could have done better at their goal but that's maybe being over-critical. Also, everyone's favourite number 9 deserves a mention for his prime Ronalbo goal 😃
  19. How many points did we get the last time we were in the Champions League 😬😃
  20. Would agree with most of this to some extent, but it is worth reminding ourselves what Gerrard inherited. He quickly got us some credibility back in Europe and found a way to beat Celtic on a somewhat regular basis. He won us the league whilst continuing to build our European stature. There is no denying we should have won more domestic trophies under SG but 55 was the "holy grail' and he delivered that in some style (unbeaten in the league). Gio taking us to a EL Final was an amazing achievement and one I'll never forget. The run that year was unforgettable. He also won the Scottish Cup beating Celtic in the semi-final after extra-time 3 days after a European match. Gio should have won us the league, when SG left we were ahead in the league and had just beaten Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox with a covid ravaged squad. However, not winning it is probably a direct consequence of getting to EL Final. There is no doubting we should have challenged more under them, but since Gio left, we are regressing dramatically and even 7 points in EL can't hide that. The board can take criticism for the shambles off the field, the continued lack of leadership and bad appointments but we are regressing as a team and in my opinion that's down to Clement and we really should be doing better domestically.
  21. Challenging domestically shouldn't be the chore it has become. Winning the vast majority of league games outwith the OF shouldn't be outwith our capabilities if we are coached correctly. Then the OF games take care of themselves (if we are approaching them with momentum and confidence). Currently we are struggling to beat the rest and approaching OF games with trepidation and this is showing in our performances. There have been small signs that Clement could be the person to lead us, but these have been far too fleeting and often in Europe rather than domestically. We are miles off challenging domestically and that is unacceptable.
  22. Now, now Jack, can't be praising CD9 ......😬
