  1. I do wonder if the investment opportunity is the rumoured SG and Saudi interest? Maybe just a coincidence that the Saudi interest rumour started a few days back and now King appearing and claiming that there is outside investment interest.
  2. According to tomorrow's Daily Record (I know, I know), Dave King making moves to get back on board. Looks like another episode in the Park v King soap opera.
  3. Never saw the game but watched the highlights. We started well, scored a good goal (assist for Dessers) then missed a few chances. Lawrence could and probably should have had a hat-trick. Lawrence looked good, Jefte is now our LB, Barron continues to impress (after looking lost at Parkhead) and a clean sheet. However, lets not forget we were outclassed at Parkhead, we've scraped past Motherwell, drew at Hearts, won convincingly against Ross County (who have both struggled thus far) and managed to neat newly promoted Dundee United. Whilst it may not all be doom and gloom, we are miles away from being close to where we need to be.
  4. 3 points and back down the road.
  5. Not watching game as at work- but will take that at half-time.
  6. Get that, but why sign players to strengthen the team then not play them. No10 is one of the problem positions. That team gives me the fear.
  7. No Cerny in the squad?
  8. He hasn't missed a game this season and played in the internationals. How more ready can he be?
  9. He does seem reluctant to start new signings.
  10. Rangers 2 v 1 Dundee Utd Dowell FGS
  11. Manager trolling us with his team selection(s)?
  12. If there isn't, we are in serious trouble. The problem we have, and I've mentioned it previously, the vast majority of the fans are very nervous when even contemplating a takeover / investment We can only hope Gerrard and some Saudi Bears have convinced a few people that they should consider investing in Rangers. Hope John Bennett makes a full recovery.
  13. Let's just throw in Gerrard returning rumour into the mix - the banter years have returned and we've gone back to full soap-opera mode.
  14. Agreed - but the article says we are in no hurry to name a successor. That's the worrying / telling part for me.
  15. No Chairman, No CEO, No DOF, No Head Of Academy #cutbacks #turmoil
  16. Don't think Igamane or Bajrami will start. Butland Tav Balogun / Souttar Propper Sterling Barron Diomande / Raskin Cerny Lawrence Jefte Dessers
  17. In my opinion, he is our 1st choice LB, but with injuries, PC may be forced to play him wide left and play Sterling LB on Sunday.
  18. So Danilo wasn't in Netherlands to get a tidy up operation, it's a completely new injury. Wonder if Fan Media were guessing or were given that line from club? Anyway another crucial and difficult game on Sunday, United have had a very good start to the season and will be very confident going into the game. For us, anything other than the 3 points is unthinkable given the poor start to the season. Getting the starting 11 right and starting the game in the right frame of mind / tempo is crucial. I can't believe I'm typing this, but not confident at all ahead of Sundays game.
  19. As I said, "if reports are to be believed" 😀
  20. He has also praised Rangers and was part of a (failed) bid to inject £60M into the club (if reports are to be believed). Not for one minute suggesting he is the correct candidate, just offering a bit of ballance 😀
  21. Former FA chief Adrian Bevington has said he'd be interested in the role. Don't think he has much experience in CEO roles though.
  22. Doesn't make them or Bennett "joined up". Bennett is leading a cost cutting exercise but in reality it's to fix the board's previous mistakes (a board he was part off). The fans have been patient, the fans backed the club through the divisions (with the exception of the spiv era), the fans have been patient as we reestablished ourselves I'm the top division. There is loyalty and then there's blind loyalty - the fans have been hugely patient and loyal but that will only last so long and os already beginning to happen - see Hampden for St Johnstone game. It'll be interesting to see the pricing and up take on the EL tickets, given most fans are expecting poor results.
  23. A simple way to answer is that we are as disjointed on the pitch as we are off it and in the stands. As for who's to blame, it's a mix of the players, the coaching staff and the board.
  24. A footballing CEO or even a footballing Chairman. Your 2nd part is 100% correct. It's shit or get off the pan time for the club and fanbase.
  25. Again, I agree but at the moment, we are a sleeping giant, if we were run correctly, we'd be challenging. Currently we have a board who can't even get the basic decisions right and are conspicuous by their absence at a time when we require strong, visible and direct leadership. Their reluctance (or negligence) to appoint footballing people to run the footballing department shows how far out of their depth they are. As a fanbase we are now scared of the thought of outside investment never mind a full blown takeover so we'll be stuck with this bungling board. Depressing.
