Honest to God, he can't survive this, can he? Rangers - new contract for Clement incoming......
-
Trust the project......

I hope our new American friends aren't watching / in attendance. That was an utterly horrible 1st half performance. We have shown / offered absolutely nothing.

What an utterly uninspiring opening 24mims. Wish I hadn't bothered coming to game.

GPL Predictions Bluebear54's GPL 2024/25: Rangers vs St Mirren

Rangers 3 v 0 St Mirren Tav FGS -
To early to take my star spangled banner and initiate chants of "USA, USA"?

I don't think it was interesting at all given who Rab tells anyone who'll listen who is "pals" are. And we wonder why we can never have, never mind dream of having fan ownership or involvement.
-
It will be interesting to see what happens. The Leeds guys (who all favou us up here, I may have played a small part in that 😁) have all said positive things about their involvement with Leeds. I'm still not 100% convinced on the deal but I think I'm more inspired by this than I am of more years of regression under the status quo. Only time will tell how it'll pan out but at some point, something has to happen to inject fresh impetus into our faltering club.

I worked with a few Leeds lads and keep in touch with them. They are worried that the focus will be on Rangers and not Leeds as even they understand that it'll be easier and cost less getting Rangers to CL on a regular basis than it would be with Leeds. Let's not forget our total income last year was circa £95M - that's not to be sniffed at. Internal restructuring and getting us operating correctly should see us breaking even (at worse). Ita undeniable that we require a "shot in the arm" - time will tell if this is it.
-
As a matter of interest, what made you come to this conclusion? Also, I don't think it's about trophies any longer, it's about survival and progress. That's not to say I'm totally convinced by this, so that's why I'm interested to hear why you believe this isn't/ won't be good for the club.

The stadium part of your post was touched on by Chris Jack in the podcast Ian posted above. It's a very interesting topic. Personally I've always imagined the bottom tiers of Copland / Brommie being "safe standing" which will help create a better atmosphere and potentially increase the capacity. Next seasons kits will still be Castore (or Umbro via Castore) and I'd like to stay with them if I'm honest. They admitted me are their brand leader in sportswear so maybe squeeze a better deal from them!.

Given the meltdown on Celtic fan Twitter pages, it's either happening or the best operation tango since the day we won the league at Tannidice 😀

"It's going to happen at some point. There has been enough work put in on it to suggest that it is going to happen", "This is far enough along the line to really start taking it very seriously" "I would say it's well advanced." - Chris Jack on RR this morning ------- BBC saying it'll be completed by June at the latest ----------
-
I suppose it would depend on what you wanted to use them for......😀

I lifted it directly from Daily Express 😀

Now being reported that they are very close to acquiring their 1st batch of shares from a major shareholder (believed to be King).
-
Exactly how I feel. We are heading slowly into oblivion under the current regime if nothing changes. 1 title in 14 years is as big an indicator as any as to how far we have fallen (some mitigating circumstances in a few of those seasons). I said when King et al saved us from the clutches of the Spivs that I'd be ever grateful (and I am) but also said they weren't what we needed medium to long-term. Whilst all investments / take overs come with a risk, is it any riskier than letting the status quo continue?

Would be better if it was The Bears or The Patriots right enough. Anyway, if Chris Jack is running with this, must be something in it.

INTERVIEW | Patrick Stewart | Rangers CEO | 19 Feb 2025
CammyF replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't think it is to be fair. We've shown in 1 off games we can compete with Celtic (league Cup final, last seasons SCF and the 3-0 win at Ibrox). This season its been our inability to win away from home that's killed us (and not just against Celtic). If our away form matched our home form in the SPL, we'd be sitting top of the league. This was also our downfall last season where we threw away a lead in the title race. With a coach who could get us winning (home and away) on a consistent basis, which given our limited budget, shouldnt be difficult to achieve, we would be competing for the title. -

For your next challenge...... 😀 Thanks for creating that, brilliant work. Shows that both Beale and Clement started well, then form fell away. -
They'll demand a "nearly won in Germany" award.

Oh dear, what a shame.....

Other than Motherwell at home, it was away form that killed our league challenge last season. It's now obvious Clement hasn't learned a single lesson from last season as once again, it's our away form thats killed us this season. The Queens Park result was the last straw in my opinion. There should have been no return from that. If Patrick Stewart is telling us the truth, we have the finance to sack Clement, so one wonders why he's still in place.
