  1. No real standouts and as others have said straight choice between Butland for his penalty save and Lawrence for his goal. Gone for Lawrence as it was a brilliantly executed shot beyond the keeper.
  2. Part-time Aberdeen manager, full-time Rangers man 😀
  3. Appeared to be a lot of issues with smart cards today. Queue at TO was massive even 1hr before kick-off.
  4. 3 points and a wonderful goal from Lawrence. Other than that it was a terrible performance. Like others have said be interested to hear what the manager says about performance and selection.
  5. Some finish but grim watching the goal apart.
  6. 30mins or mediocrity
  7. Rangers 2 v 0 Hibs Tav FGS
  8. Interesting team selection.
  9. Both Bo'ness United and Bo'ness Athletic won their Scottish Cup ties today. What chance a Bo'ness Derby in the next round?
  10. Maybe I misheard but sure heard commentary team saying no VAR
  11. No VAR in operation on Thursday - hence Malmos wrestling tactics and the lack of punishment.
  12. Like every good striker, he has the ability, temperament and mindset not to let missed chances bother / get to him.
  13. Their explanation is confusing, maybe it was meant to be! For what it's worth, I thought the 1st one was more a penalty than the 2nd one (both pens though).
  14. OK, tight angle then.....😀
  15. Probably meant to miss in that case 😀
  16. Good interview with Malmo coach post match. Names one Rangers player who his team simply couldn't handle. I'll not ruin the surprise https://www.football-addict.com/en/article/rangers-fc/we-were-torn-apart-malmo-boss-names-one-rangers-star-his-side-simply-could-not-deal-with/66f669caaa9645205b0fa048?utm_campaign=post-auto-article&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=rangers-addict&date=27_09_2024&fbclid=IwY2xjawFj16JleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHdldi5BMnFKTtTDYXRfhOph6WH_wquGxQsz8sAb1GecU07UCC3qW0qDNCA_aem_Xhts-2Hp4mV1f4cn4XXxrQ
  17. Can't see us dropping our top scorer (by some distance) for a player yet to score at this level in a must win league game. Your "probable" team won't be far off, and neither should it be. At this moment in time, that's our strongest 11 and we need to start playing the same 11 players to get cohesion. If Cortes ever gets fit, he'd be left-side attacker and Bajrami would move to the number 10 role.
  18. The open goal you mention, was that at the opening goal? If so, bit unfair as it was a very tight angle. I listened to Ally McCoist last night who we'll all agree has forgotten more about playing number 9 for Rangers than we'll all ever know, he was full of praise for Dessers. Talking the game through with a couple of pals last night (1 who doesn't support Rangers) and we came to the conclusion that Tav and Dessers must be the two over-analysed and over -scrutinised players in the history of the club.
  19. Agreed, there were 3 or 4 chances that fell to other players who should have scored. Thought Dessers deserves praise for his work-rate and hold up / link up play last night even at the times he was completely isolated.
  20. Went for Souttar but there were many others who are worthy of a mention.
  21. Maybe partly, but the performance levels in EL are well above what we deliver in SPL in my opinion. The referee was terrible last night, we should have had at least two pens.
  22. The game I watched for periods we were sloppy on the ball, gave possession away far too easily and conceded needless fouls. At the start of the 2nd half we couldn't get out our own half (as we couldn't keep hold of the ball). For large periods of 1st half we were sloppy, yet still created 2 great chances in the later stages of that half - that showed lack of composure and bravery. I said at halftime there were positives, mainly Tav and Dessers performances. Also said at full time that there were positives - praised the back 4 and said midfiled competed and Dessers held ball up and brought others into the game. it is possible to see the positives and the negatives - we've still a long, long way to go.
  23. Best song we've had for a while, glad it's taken off - sounds amazing (and annoys the Nats).
