Whilst I agree with your assessment of Clement, Lawrence and Dessers are the only 2 players we have who look like scoring on a regular basis so, he has to start / play. Would Bajrami offer more in the 10 position? Maybe, but we have no options for wide left.

In reality it's not his or the players ultimately to blame. The best coach and best players within our limited budget will only take us so far. As long as Celtic have better players than us, are better coached than us and better ran than us, we're farting against thunder.

You're the one moving goalposts. Stats don't paint an entire picture and can cloud the "facts". Otherwise, Tav would be lauded by our entire fanbase rather than ridiculed. You said Matondo could terrorise Dortmund - I asked for an example (still waiting for said example). So was his end product awful during 55 and the run to EL Final? Goal involvement is 1 metric but doesn't define a players ability. Kent was / is better player than anyone we currently have, it's that simple. Kent would walk into this Rangers team, none of those mentioned would make Gerrard' or even Gio's Rangers teams, no matter the 'stats'. Better players win leagues. Again, you've skirted around this. Our current squad is the weakest and poorest quality since the days of Pedro. That's not disillusionment, its my opinion and currently being 3rd in league, dismantled by Lyon and Celtic, failing to beat the poorest Hearts team in decades and struggling to play basic football backs that up. Too many Rangers fans trying way too hard to convince themselves that the current players are good enough to win leagues and go deep into European compitions whilst its blatnently obvious they aren't.

You haven't answered one question I've posed to you. Again, is goal involvement the only measurable stat? Again, is a players ability purely judged on goal involvement? Again, show me an example of Matondo terrorising a team like Dortmund. In fact show me an example of Matondo terrorising any team in his time at Rangers? Again, post their winners medals whilst at Rangers? It is a fact that Kent is a better player than Matondo.

Maybe the player they are trying to sign plays Kents position?

With PC you just never know when it comes to team selection. One thing he has shown is his reluctance to change his formation, so the 11 shown will be the probable starting 11. Only Lawrence and Dessers offer a constant goal threat (good to see Cerny ship in with a couple last game) so others need to step up and create / score. Tough game, terrible pitch, weather looking dodgy, can't say I'm looking forward to this game.

So football ability is purely based on stats? Is a players only measurable stat "goal involvement"? Show me their trophy stats won whilst with Rangers?

Matondo can't terrorise Dundee never mind Dortmund - what's his European record with Rangers? Golas scored, chances created, and penalties won etc? Name one European game where Matondo has terrorised a defence? We should have won the league but didn't. We crumbled after losing at home to Motherwell and were overtaken and finished way off Celtic. We did reach the EL Final with Kirk Broadfoot, what's your point? Scott Wright played in an EL Final. Look back at us winning 55 and our run to EL Final and watch / note Kent's involvement. He did things those mentioned could only dream off. This continual knocking and playing down ex-players contribution is nothing short of embarrassing especially given the current state of our squad. What next, Ridvan better than than Borna and Jefte combined 😉

100% correct and no amount of posturing about the current set-up cam change this. We've been left in their shadow, missed a huge opportunity to make Rangers great again (I'd say 2 opportunities - the 2nd after 55). Really difficult to see how we catch them, never mind overtake them.

Erm what have those players won for us? Stats don't and never will tell the whole story. Are you really saying Matondo is a better player than Kent and has contributed more than Kent? Please post trophies won at Rangers stat, win game % and goals, assists, dribbles etc in games as well.

They have a full quota of foreign players and want to sign another (at least 1) so have to let one of their foreign players leave. No one wanted to leave so their terminating contracts.

That's a matter of opinion. Mines is Kent is / was better than Cortes,MacCauland, Matondo and Cerny. Yours is he isn't. I'll ask again, can you see Cortes, MacCausland, Cerny or Matondo contributing in us winning the title ot getting to EL Final? Would any of them terrorise Dortmund like Kent did? I'll save you answering, as the answer is no.

Exactly - As most of us are saying - the fact is Kent is better than we currently have doesn't mean we want him back. Its not really that difficult to understand.
