  1. you've misquoted me again something you appear to excel at. I said it was the easiest alternative. Do you believe finding people with the experience and skill set of running a football club is difficult? Maybe we should ask our neighbours how they've managed it.
  2. Employ people with the relevant experience and skills to run a football club properly. I'll ask again, you do realise those you want to be "left alone" are the same people who got us into this mess? Why should they be trusted to get us out of it?
  3. Exactly this - when are we going to realise its that simple? That's the easiest alternative. The board got us into this mess - no one else. They continue to stumble from one crisis to the next, making incorrect decisions (good intentions or not) at every turn. Employ and hand over running of the club to people who are experienced in running football clubs. They need hounded until these people are in place and operating the.club. How much longer are we expected to wait?
  4. You do realise it's the board's fault we are in this mess? So we sit back and watch the club go to the wall (cause that's where we are heading) for a second time? Aye, that's they way forward.
  5. Nothing I can do - the voice we have is pay up and shut up or stop paying up. Given I've already paid for my ST and EL tickets the don't pay option isn't on the table until next season. However, sitting back and accepting a decade of gross mismanagement hasn't gone well has it? So we're all for sitting back and hoping against all hope that the board who've squandered for decades suddenly get it right.
  6. I think it goes beyond how the team are performing. The board, no matter how many millions they have put in, have squandered it, as well as the millions we've put into the club. They have to held accountable for this as well as the growing list of terrible recruitment decisions. But, yeah, the fans should wind their necks in. Pay up, sit down and shut up - it's like SDM is back in town.
  7. They deserved to be hounded out - how much money have they squandered, how many incorrect appointments have they made? Best in class right enough. The fans should be expectant and they have been patient for over a decade. Fans cant be blamed for the finacial mess we find ourselves in or for the poor product on the pitch.
  8. It does give that impression. We are in a sorry state with no signs of improvement. Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe it / them.
  9. https://uppingtheoutput.home.blog/2024/11/14/lost-at-sea-again-the-rangers-boardroom/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGjTKJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHVubSt1wRI-S8F_Yn0Yx4J9w0N_uy7xxsZZpLhZLUCDPo0y2_lw4DdpFtg_aem_oiu3GkopChdCWPzhDnU0YA
  10. Yeah, true but during the transfer window, I don't believe any of us would have thought Motherwell would be our direct rivals. Hindsight and all that.......
  11. The time has passed, but I'd have offered them circa £2.5M in the summer but with us paying his wages and loaned him back to Motherwell for the season. Don't know if they'd have gone for it, but it would have been worth exploring.
  12. You're assuming Motherwell will want Rice (who walked out on them to come to Rangers) and Devine who couldn't hold down a regular position when he was on loan there.
  13. Aye, I'm sure Motherwell will go for this. They want over £4M for Miller, that's less than we paid for Diomande and Cortes. "Trading' Rice and Devine will take about £100,000 off their asking price.
  14. We all want to break the habit, but breaking the habit doesn't mean we can't compete. We play in the SPL and have been unable to challenge for 14 years (give or take). That's the habit I want to break and that doesn't mean or take untold millions. Beat the rest of the SPL regularly and taking momentum into the OF games, winning 50% should see us neck-to-neck in a title race. To make that happen our players need a system that they can play in and trust, be fit (mentally and physically), be prepared to fight every second of every game. That all comes down to coaching and is as far as I am aware, free of charge. This acceptance that we need millions that isn't there to challenge is a fallacy. We need the right people in place and we'll be 90% of the way there. We have accepted that we can't challenge and excuse this as we've been told "it's a rebuild" - how long are we going to accept this? Another 5 years (that'll be 2 decades in total)? Or do we reset our mindset and realise it doesn't take a lot to challenge in Scotland - be managed correctly on and off the pitch, it's really that simple. EDIT - we do realise that Celtic pay their players less in wages and pick up better players than us on lesser fees?
  15. He should be, but he won't. With no structure in place to scout / identify his replacement it's pointless sacking him. Also, far too many have bought into this "rebuild" nonsense as an excuse for poor football, poor fitness, being 3rd in a 2 horse race and that it'll take time to challenge domestically. As I said previously, we're getting exactly what we deserve as we are accepting and excusing mediocrity right through the club.
  16. In my opinion, Kelly was signed to replace Butland but for some reason, we didn't receive the bids we thought were incoming. Cortes is still unkown, he's hardly featured due to injury so the jury is still out. Jefte only featured as Ridvan was injured, otherwise Ridvan was our starting left back (in fact the experts in our support had Jefte written off in pre-season). I can't agree with Diomamde, he hasn't cemented a starring place, he's only playing as our number 10 is playing wide left and our other number 10 is injured. As you say, we are only in November but we've not seen Ridvan, Danilo, Cortes or Matondo who would all be starters (Clement started Danilo over Dessers). Kasanwirjo is starting to feature but isn't a regular starter. He looks far more comfortable at CB than he does at RB. I think Clement has signed 11 players, that's an entire team so you can't say there is a "lack of players".
  17. We draw 2-2 with Motherwell yesterday in a bounce game with Curtis and Propper scoring. For those who'll instantly jump in and say this is evidence that Curtis should get an opportunity in the 1st team, it's worth noting that PC has given competitive minutes to 1 player under 20 since he took over. Thats less than any of our previous 3 managers.
  18. Oh you've misunderstood again, I wasn't laughing at Lawrence and Dessers.
  19. We might well be - but the facts are they scored goals in 1-0 wins, so if they hadn't we'd be worse off. Dessers has scored 10 goals in 20 games in a team who don't create chances. He is on course to score 20 goals in back-to-back seasons. So we have our 20 goal a season striker we were all crying out for.
  20. Currently that's correct but we've had Igamane, Ridvan, Propper, Danilo, Sterling Diomande (IIRC) all unavailable this season. It's a continuing trend. There has been a large turnover but we are still relying on "the old guard" far to heavily. That means either Clement doesn't rate his signing, they were the wrong signings, they are injured, they are not ready or a combination of all off the above. However, the discussion on player turnover, starting 11s etc can't mask how poor we are at (attempting) to play football. That's down to coaching.
  21. Our form and deteriorated BEFORE Dundee and Dingwall. It started when Motherwell beat at Ibrox. We weren't close to a treble- how many points behind Celtic were we again? The Scottish Cup Final was a decent 1 off performance and we were unlucky to lose but Aberdeen could same the same regarding our LC victory. In reality we were nowhere near a treble under either Beale nor Clement.
  22. No PPG is fact - however, his PPG since March is horrific. If projected over a season, it'll get us 70-odd points. That's his most recent PPG - that's what we are delivering week on week added to low XG and uninspiring performances it tells its own story. Rebuild or not, we should be playing better, creating more, scoring more, gathering more points and be higher up the table. However, as I said earlier there is little to be gained by sacking him at the moment as we've no one in control to select his replacement. It just shows how poor the club is from top to bottom. It's a slow and cruel demise and it'll continue until the board get their fingers out (and I'm not holding my breath).
