  1. Available on YouTube - so one of my lads us just informed me. Spoiler- he's already switched it off 😀
  2. Hope that wasn't/ isn't our job advert.........
  3. I can also remember fans from other teams posting in the early days. A St Mirren fan (Law?) and a few Celtic fan. One, think Kev was his name was actually quite decent. Edit : the.decent Celtic was called Keith. There was another called Bruce Cundy IIRC who well, eh.......😀
  4. Hopefully he is someone we are considering for one of the vacant roles.
  5. I think Blank sacking Bocanegra makes this unlikely, not that I'd be against both happening. Regarding Clement being the boards lightening rod, probably part and parcel of his new contract. Appointing a CEO and / chairperson and throwing them straight into the AGM is unfair, so yes, it'll probably happen 😀
  6. I'm sure a relation of his stitched together the parts of the GersNet flags
  7. Thread Police as well now - you've got more jobs than Gilligan (now back on topic).
  8. I thought you'd take it as a compliment as you're up against some tough compition.
  9. He'll have to play musically chairs by himself and wear multiple hats. Hopefully he's been investigated the average temperatures of the pies as he's sure to be asked about them.
  10. Even a broken clock is right twice a day so nothing is outwith the realms of possibility
  11. For anyone who's been a member for a while, do you ever wonder what happened to some of the people who used to post here (good and bad)? Some names that immediately spring to mind for me are Bmck Colshy Jon Jim'll Del (Ian) (bump into Ian at Ibrox occasionally) Smalce 8ball @Gribz (still here along with @Frankie and @ian1964). We had a few meet ups back in the day both at Ibrox and a few in Belfast. Hope they are all good and still supporting Rangers. I'll have missed a few and apologies for that, it's my age 😀
  12. Reducing losses, recruiting staff, being 9 points behind in the league, cutting wages, up coming AGM, keeping the lights on. That should be enough to keep them up at night.
  13. Oh here comes No1 troll - what took you so long? 🙄
  14. Hold on a minute. If we never offered anyone the job, never mind them refusing it (according to you), how could someone back out for whatever reason? If club have openly discussed the (non)progress of the recruitment for Bisgroves replacement both before and after Gilligan returning, why shouldn't they continue to update us? Any pressure applied to a candidate and / orntheir family is wrong and should be called out, but are you naive enough to think once someone has accepted the job, this external pressure will magically disappear / not happen? And would only happen to them BEFORE they accept the job? They don't have to give us names, interview dates, copies of the candidates CVs, a simple progression update is all that is required. As it stands, it appears that no progress is being made. Maybe that's the issue, like the delays in Ibrox redevelopment, the board will get caught " bending the truth" about progress or lack off. Fan media did get a little vague snippet late last week / early this week, so we have to assume that came directly from the club so they are "talking" to some fans.
  15. So we're guessing why he backed out? A holding statement would be best - we eventually did it with Ibrox redevelopment and it immediately took the pressure of the board. A generic statement with no names has a very low risk of putting a candidate off or I the spotlight, in fact it would be impossible for the candidates to be identified unless the board leaked it.
  16. McCausland sent home from NI squad with a foot injury. Another added to the list.......
  17. So why did Gilligan update us previously? How would "progress is going well in our pursuit to fill the 4 critical roles within the club. We are interviewing suitable candidates and hope to have an announcement soon.", harm the recruitment process? As for taking time, how long have these roles been open and what would be a suitable time frame for filling them? You do know that once these roles have been filled it takes pressure of the board? You'd think they would have this as number one priority, which is what we were told it would be once we were back at Ibrox. When was that again? Last week?
  18. Really, wow. As for the board, they told us what they were doing. They offered the job to the bloke from St Mirren, he (thankfully) turned us down (hopefully you'll be able to accept this since you denied it for long enough). So once he rejected us, for some reason, we had to start the entire hiring process again. To do that we were looking at hiring a specialised recruitment company. That's obviously taking ages to happen as since Gilligan told us all of the above. Maybe the next time he talks to his paying customers, he might give us a long awaited update. Now that was for Bisgrove's replacement, we've not be told about the other 3. Maybe you right though, they'll on it and there's nothing to worry about.
  19. SDM can be blamed for a lot of things, but he can't be blamed for the current boards continued gross mismanagement. Once we accept that the current board continues to spend more than we earn we'll see where the problem lies. As well as the money they and King have loaned us, they've squandered CL money, EL money, £50M in transfer fees (Patterson, Bassey, Aribo, Sakala and Kamara), year on year recored ST sales / income, over inflated Euopean tickets and substantial merchandise / retail growth. As well as financial mismanagement, we have ; NEH - overbudget, under utilised. Copland Upgrade - not completed on time, had to rent Hampden and a public ridiculing. Vacant Roles - still unable (or unwilling) to fill 4 critically important roles within the club. Recruitment - aligned to the above, continued recruitment of the wrong people. Now, if you believe the board don't need "hounded" regarding all of the above and it's somehow SDM and the fans fault, then there is little hope for us. As it stands, as long as the bowling club committee are in charge (i.e making the day to day decisions), we are heading for oblivion.
  20. you've misquoted me again something you appear to excel at. I said it was the easiest alternative. Do you believe finding people with the experience and skill set of running a football club is difficult? Maybe we should ask our neighbours how they've managed it.
  21. Employ people with the relevant experience and skills to run a football club properly. I'll ask again, you do realise those you want to be "left alone" are the same people who got us into this mess? Why should they be trusted to get us out of it?
  22. Exactly this - when are we going to realise its that simple? That's the easiest alternative. The board got us into this mess - no one else. They continue to stumble from one crisis to the next, making incorrect decisions (good intentions or not) at every turn. Employ and hand over running of the club to people who are experienced in running football clubs. They need hounded until these people are in place and operating the.club. How much longer are we expected to wait?
  23. You do realise it's the board's fault we are in this mess? So we sit back and watch the club go to the wall (cause that's where we are heading) for a second time? Aye, that's they way forward.
