  1. It appears that the Subway Loyal have infiltrated our away support - couldn't believe my eyes yesterday as as soon as the clock showed 85 minutes, 100's of Rangers fans started to leave the ground. Cammy F
  2. The fee shows how overinflated the English market has become - he is a decent player, but not worth that IMO. Cammy F
  3. It was a pleasure being seated in a stand dedicated to the memory of Davie Cooper and belting out 'The Cooper Song' - pity it wasn't at Ibrox tho.. We've got Davie, Davie, Davie Cooper on the wing, on the wing We've got Davie, Davie, Davie Cooper on the wing, on the wing Davie oh Davie Cooper oh Davie Cooper on the wing Davie oh Davie Cooper oh Davie Cooper on the wing Cammy F

    Underhill

One thing that never changes in the Scottish game is the standard of refereeing - once again, Underhill was shocking yesterday - how he missed the kick on Sionko and only yellow carded Forlan for his elbow on Smith, only he knows. Cammy F
  5. Cheers Gersfem... Cammy F
  6. in a wee club near Fir Park - Michael Mols and Davie Proven were in and were a credit to themselves and the club - they both took time to sign autographs and have pictures taken Cammy F

    Next Week

Prso will not feature in all our games this season as his knee injury will require rest. But like we are all saying, this is a great headache for PLG to have. Cammy F

Can't see him changing the system as it worked fantatically well today. We will destroy teams at Ibrox using that fluent, interchanging system. IMO only the personel will change and if I my sources are correct, you can thro Sebo (at least) into the mix for next week....! Also, where can we accomidate Burke and Fergie when they are fit? These are great problems for PLG to have. IMO, Prso or Adam will drop to the bench next Saturday and Boyd will play the loan striker role with Adam/Prso and Sionko wide with Buffel playing off the front. Cammy F

So who drops out next week for the return of Boyd? Cammy F
  10. I was there Gersfem, tried to call you around 12:15 but couldn't get a connection - sent you a text but after reading your reply, I really should have tried calling again - apologies for that... Cammy F
  11. Yes, Rangers should be leafleting the fans and advising us what is OK to sing. I think there are obvious songs that have to go - fucking the pope and up to our knees - these are the obvious ones. The ones that aren't so obvious like 'We Are Rangers' could benefit from word changes BUT songs like The Sash, Derrys Walls, Build My Gallows are NOT sectarian. That doesn't mean that we should be singing these long-term, but in relation to the UEFA directive, they are untouchable. I know that both Ragners fanzines as well as the RST etc are actively trying to 'educate' fans into what is OK to sing. Education is the key word here - we are not going to stop ALL these songs overnight. Thankfully, FTPing has decreased rapidly over the last season or so, hopefully The Billy Boys will go down the same route. In saying all that, Rangers must now take a stance and say 'NO MORE' - we have eradicated FTP and The Billy Boys and we aren't budging on any others until UEFA stamp out ALL forms of BIGOTRY, RACISM etc from football. Cammy F
  12. No, the only one that is banned is The Billy Boys..... Cammy F
  13. Another point here - there are people (and we know who they are) who are praying on us to continue to sing this song - they are banking on our defience as it gives them something to attack us with and it deflects attention away from their sectarian songs. Don't fall into the trap and give these people the ammunition they crave. If we can refrain from singing this song, maybe, just maybe we can turn the attention on THEM. Cammy F
  14. I am sure that UEFA will accept this as a defence...! Know what you are saying, but it is up to us the fans, to learn and sing Rangers songs - how did you know the words to songs like The Billy Boys? You listened to them at games, on tapes etc. The only people that can change the 'hymn book' at Ibrox are us the fans - we all have a responsibility to support the team passionately whilst refraining from banned songs. Cammy F
  15. Thing is Colshy, nobody is going to give us a break - it is quite apparent that if we continue to sing it, we are going to face stiff, harsh punishment. This could be in the form of stand closures, point deductions, relegation and being kicked out of European Cups. Is singing about a razor gang from Glasgow worth seeing Rangers relegated? Is it worth singing this whilst 1 or 2 stands at Ibrox are closed? Is it worth singing it if, after beating Craptic 3-0 at Ibrox we get deducted these points? I think we all really need to acknowledge the severity of the situation - this isn't going away, turning a blind eye, or defying UEFA and Murray ISN'T AN OPTION. This is serious, this could lead to Rangers being RELEGATED (for the first time in OUR HISTORY). If some people have the misguided notion that a song about a street gang is more important than Rangers Fooball Club, I fear for the future of our club. Cammy F
  16. For those who want to continue to sing about fucking the pope and being up to your knees in fenian blood, you can, just not at Ibrox. You can sing it on your RSC bus, you can sing it in the pubs, you can sing it in your house / garden, you can sing it anywhere you want, apart from Ibrox. So, the defence of 'freedom of speach' isn't an issue here. This issue isn't going to go away - if we continue to sing these songs, Rangers Football Club will be punished and punished heavily. The issue of David Murray and the club's stance is now another issue completely. UEFA have fined us and warned us about future behaviour. If we are found guilty again, we are going to suffer. No amount of posturing from us or the club is going to stop this punishment. We really need to wake up and smell the coffee here. As for the issues of other clubs, as Frankie says, we can not use that as a defence. However, what we can do is highlight these to the relevant authorities - just like the enemies of our club have done with our songs. Cammy F
  17. And the 30 yard screamer he scored AGAINST us at the pre-season friendly a few years ago @ St James.... Cammy F
  18. See the bhoy at the end of the clip doing the 'red-hand salute' Cammy F
  19. Interesting to read that Jim Templeton and Rangers are threatening to boycott certain grounds over the issue of ticket pricing (and not before time). The grounds concerned are East End Park, Rugby Park and Tannidice. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/tm_objectid=17457781%26method=full%26siteid=66633%26headline=gers%2dfans%2d%2dfury%2dat%2dticket%2dprices%2d-name_page.html Cammy F
  20. And for those who missed it - here is said tim having a 'hissy fit' in the centre-circle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeFNJRYbi6M Given Craptics PR - this will be denied and blamed on us or a £30 piece of software Cammy F
  21. During their last home game of the season, their singing section, The Jungle Bhoys imploded and sections of this led thousands of fans in vile racist and sectarian chants. Now, this wasn't reported in the media, the information was gained from a 'craptic minded' website. Some of the songs sung included - I'd rather wear a turban than a sash - Soon there will be no protestants at all - and various IRA ditties. Add this to the fact that the green brigade are trying to take over from the bungle bhoys as the new singing section, we are going to hear more and more of these songs at Parkhead. We know that the media aren't going to do / say anything, but maybe, just maybe some of us Rangers fans are beginning to wake up and realise that if we want to bring this type of thing into the open, then we'll need to do it ourselves. Cammy F
  22. Saw most of the game last night and we did look impressive - good luck in the final. Cammy F
  23. Political songs are not allowed under the new UEFA directive - this was brought in so that UEFA could take action against supporters singing far-right wing chants at football and this will cover the IRA chants. Cammy F
  24. Agreed, if Rangers are going to play these fantastic Rangers songs, they need to play the original versions and not these raved versions. Cammy F

    Setanta

Don't have Sentanta, but like Frankie says, if I wasn't actively going to the footie, it sounds like a good deal and I'd probably go for it. Cammy F
