Greater Manchester Poilce have CANCELLED the Rangers V Bolton friendly..... Un-feckin-believeable Cammy F

So much for David Murrays comments regarding the new manager have significant funds available. I don't want to see a return to the WS and DA days, but after all of DM's procrastinating, I did think we would have had some money to strengthen the squad. The transfer window doesn't close for another 6 weeks, but IMO we need players in place now so we can get them intigrated into the squad etc. Another case of shallow words (or downright lies) from Liar Liar himself, Mr David E Murray. Just putting this back to the top of the forum so those who haven't yet donated (and who are planning to!) know where and how to donate Once again, thanks to everyone who has already donated Cammy F

This goes back to the way Rangers play the Youth Teams - our U19 team is full of players aged 17 and 18 - in fact, young Fleck was promoted to the U19 squad last season at the age of 15. Cammy F

I'm going but only because its PLG's first 'home game'..... Cammy F

Right, the banner(s) were posted this morning, but I think the Boro game is a bit optimstic as they won't arrive until Monday. The company stated a week to print them, then you will have the 2-3 day delivery back up the road. So, it looks like the Motherwell game will be the GersNet II debut - then the first home game of the season (thanks for volunteering R.B ) Cammy F

Murray makes clearest hint yet that club is for sale...

Yeah, I believe that a 'consortium' is most likely and wouldn't rule out the RST being part of any consortium.... Cammy F -
All going well, both GersNet banners will be on display from the Copland Rear at the Boro game. Failing that, they will be at Fir Park for the first game of the season (via being the back drop to Dels wedding photos) and at the first home league game of the season Anyone want to volunteer taking them the first home game of the season? If so reply to this thread and we'll arrange to meet you before the game to give you the banner(s). Cammy F

Aye, could be gersnet policy to get a new banner every season Only if me and Del don't get landed with carrying all the feckers to all the matches - been stopped and searched outside football grounds more times that Pete Docherty has been at bloody airports - not to mention run ins with stewards, Police etc !! Cheers Craig Right folks, get donating.... As for another banner, maybe better going back to the GersNet 1 design, buy 10/12 flags and get them stiched together and have the web addy painted / stitched on to it?? Or, the guy at the Ibrox Primary sells large Saltires for £30 - get on of those and get http://www.gersnet.info on it?? Anyhoo, we'll get this one completed first before thinking about the next one :admin: Cammy F

Craig, if we could use your paypal account for donations, that would be great. Can you post the details on this, or start an new thread with the details so folks can start donating Cammy F

Meant to say that I'll pay for the printing up front and get the donations in as and when people can manage. That way, the banner will be ready for the start of the season Cammy F

Right folks, we need to get £65 pounds raised to pay for the printing of the new GersNet banner (http://www.gersnet.info/vb/showthread.php?t=706). Craig has already kindly pledged a very generous donation so anything you can spare will be most appreciated. Hopefully Stu will read this post and post details of the GersNet Pay Pal account for you guys to make a donation. Failing that, I'll accept cheques etc Cammy F

If you want the address of where I got the material and where we are getting them printed, I can supply the details. The material is very cheap and got it from a fabric shop in Falkirk - it comes in 15 * 7.5 foot lengths and they do most colours. However, we have struggled to get anyone in Scotland to print our banners as they claim only to print flags that they have produced. So, I would try the web and get quotes on pre-made and pre-printed banners first. The printing is the hardest thing to arrange . Cammy F

It's £2.50 per letter and £25-£35 for the crest - so if my arthmatic is correct, the total cost, not including packaging will be - £65. The cost of the material was £40 and that is my donation for the banner. Del arranged to have the banner stitched together Cammy F

Hi Guys, Just been off the phone to the printers that are going to print the banner. It will take about 1 week for them to print the banner so I will arrange to have it posted down. Now, here is where I need you guys help Frankie, could you if possible, russle up a couple of 'mock-up's' for the GersNet and BTB banners? I ask this as you are good with the old paint-shop pro / photo-shop and the fact that the printers want a 'design' sent down so they know exactly what to print!! Amybe post them in here so folks can see how the banner will look once its printed !! Del, can we arrange to meet up and get the banner that you have and I'll send them down ASAP. Frankie, here is what the banners should look like ; GersNet - Blue, white and red 'tri-clour' with GERSNET LOYAL (in black letters) with the RFC 5 Star crest. BTB - Blue, white and red 'tri-clour' with Bo'ness True Blues RSC (black lettering along the top), the traditional Rangers Ready Crest in the middle and Established 1946 in black lettering along the bottom. Your help in this guys is most appreciated. Cammy F
