and read and digest the lyrics - by changing America to Rangers, the song could have been written to describe the dire state of our club at the moment : New America - Bad Religion do you know the cost of future misery? have you lost your sense of sustainability? we are just a step away from realizing what we strive to be but we've got to break out from this insulated blind and lame senility wake up the new america wo-oh! transcend the mass hysteria wo-oh! change is the thing you're wary of wo-oh! we need a new america wo-oh! laurels, human triumph, bestowments from the past victories don't mean a thing if they don't last we are just marching toward extinction with blinders on our eyes jeopardizing everything we've learned and come to realize you call that wise? open your eyes america wo-oh! see through the lies they tell to us wo-oh! confront the fears that worry us wo-oh! we need a new america wo-oh! we don't have to be afraid to re-invent we've got to start to build, progress, and implement for when we take our fill, and never pay the price we only build ourselves a fleeting, false paradise you can live in staunch denial and mark me as your enemy but I'm just a voice among the throng who want a brighter destiny they say with me we are the new america wo-oh! this is the new america? wo-oh ------------------------------------------ Cammy F

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mai...6/sfncom06.xml The above is an article describing and condeming the Rome Police for their unprovoked attacks on Man U fans on Wednesdat evening (and I would expect a similar line tomorrow regarding the Spanish Polices attack on Spurs fans). Now, there is no doubting that Man U and Spurs had 'fans' at the games who were there to cause trouble (Man U and Spurs have the biggest casual element in English football at the moment) and their is the possibility that their fans may have been singing 'offensive' songs. So, the question is, why have the English press (to a man/woman) backed the fans over the Police and more importantly, why have the clubs backed their fans 110%? Compare and contrast to the brutal Police actions 3 weeks ago and the subsequent press and club reaction........ In fact, I cought a short part of a phone in last night and Keith Jackson stated that he was utterly disgusted by the Police actions in Spain at the RFC game - pity you didn't write about it at the time then you fookin maggot Jackson. Another aspect that is worth compairing is the level of constraint shown by the Rangers fans in the face of the aggresion shown by the Police. Whilst Man U and especially Spurs fans fought back, throwing chairs etc, Rangers fans were far more restrained in their response (yet our press still describe us as the animals). UEFA MUST be forced to take actions against these Police forces, that is not the way to Police a football match - charging in, weilding batons and riot shields injuring innocent fans. It is good to hear that the RST (yes, them again - leading the way and a shining example to the club) have offered their services and dossiers to the Man U Trust and supporters to join forces in forcing UEFA into action. The Rangers Family ââ?¬â?? Estranged or Non-Existent
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Frankie, you have hit the nail on the head - TBO are trying their best but NO ONE joins in at Ibrox, no matter what songs are being sung. This hasn't just happened overnight, the atmosphere at Ibrox (Europe, OF games apart) has been lacking for over a decade now. Maybe it started when we were surging our way to 9-in-row and we got 'cocky' and knew that the team were going to win the majority of games without 'our help' or 'support'. BUT, it has been getting worse since and these days (TBO apart) it is utterly shocking. Maybe something to do with the the pish we are served up on the pitch or knowing that no one else, apart from us (the fans) gives a rats arse about the club? Don't know the reason, but it is fooking hard work 'follow following' Rangers at the moment (especially away from home as you run the risk of arrest simply for being a Rangers fan - and that is NO exageration). Cammy F -
in the cold light of day, it is just another example of the fact that the players we are, simply aren't good enough for Rangers domestically, never mind in Europe. A chilling and stark reminder that the squad has no depth, quality, guile, passion, pace or skill. Looks like a long hard slog for us Bears with little or no quality on the pitch, a leader who doesn't know his arse from his elbow and continued attacks from the media and UEFA. Welcome to SDM's RFC 2007... Cammy F

The Rangers Family ââ?¬â?? Estranged or Non-Existent
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Here is an example of the problems we face at Ibrox from Saturday. A guy who sits in TBO was approached by the Police and told in no uncertain terms that if he didn't refrain from singing the sash, he would be ejected. The guy asked Plod why and he was informed that the top plod had informed him to warn and eject anyone singing the sash. The guy asked to speak to the top plod, who eventually came over and conducted himself in a very aggressive and arguementitive fashion and basically said that the guy would be thrown out as 'Mr McIntyre had stated that the sash was a sectarian song and anyone singing it was to be ejected'. As the arguement got more heated, a few guys from TBO and Jim Hannah became involved and it was established that the top plod was telling porkies. No one at Rangers has ever claimed that the sash was sectarian and the plod was forced to apologise to the fan. So, what the fook is going on at Ibrox? Are the Police taking matters into their own hands and deciding themselves what is deemed sectarian? This is why we need leadership and direction from the club so we know ourselves what is and isn't OK to sing at Ibrox and more importantly on our travels. Another example of what we are up against, is the continual mis-reporting of the Borac incident. Now, many media outlets, the BBC being the worst are still claiming that Borac was questioned by the Police due to him 'blessing himself'. This is simply untrue and they know this is untrue. The PF confirmed that Borac was questioned and warned due to making obscene and inflamatory gestures to the RFC fans, NOT FOR BLESSING HIMSELF. So the question is why would the BBC continue to report this lie? Well, quite simply it shows us up as the 'big bad prod bullies' who reported a 'poor wee downtrodden catholic' for blessing himself - which without wishing to sound repatative is a fookin lie. The Rangers Family ââ?¬â?? Estranged or Non-Existent
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
SDM has ensured that the 'Rangers Family' is split down the middle. He has divided and conquored - so much so, it'll not be long until Bears are fighting with Bears week-in and week-out at Ibrox. There is so much wrong with our club at the moment, so much so, I am struggling to think of one asspect of RFC that is currently not in decline or working properly. Even us the fans, aren't working properly at the moment. Who is to blame for this, well, the buck stops at SDM. If he continues in this vein, then the Rangers family will be 'dead' very shortly (if it isn't already). Thanks a million SDM..... Cammy F -
Anyone got a knowledge of our current crop of youth players?
CammyF replied to bmck's topic in Rangers Chat
Archie Campbell is another who is playing in age groups well above his own and looked decent for the Scottish Schools this season. Think he is playing at under 19 level as well as Fleck. Charlie Adam's wee brother is the Scotland and Rangers youth keeper and looks not to bad and Gordon Durie's lad is a 'promising' centre-half. Rangers sent young Ross Perry to our RSC Dance and the feeling is the lad has a decent future at the club. IIRC he was involved in the last few European squads. Cammy F -
As I watched the NI v Sweden game on TV last night (well, if WS and Ally can scout on Healy, then so can I ) I was very impressed by the atmosphere created by the NI fans. They supported their nation from start to finish and guess what, not one 'sectarian' or 'cultural' song was sung. If NI fans can manage this and turn Windsor Park into a loud and intimidating stadium, surely we can do the same at Ibrox? It wasn't long ago that NI fans would regularly sing the sash (with add ons) and other 'cultural songs', but no more. Linfield have also moved on and in fact, there was a fantastic article on them in Scotland On Sunday proir to this season friendly (I posted this on the old site). Could Rangers supporters groups like TBO, RST, Assembly etc contact both NI and Linfield to find out how they managed to 'move on' whilst improving the match day experience? Lessons that we could learn from? Cammy F

Thanks for the memories Dado and all the very best in the future. Once a Ranger, Always A Ranger... Cammy F

Seriously considering not reapplying this season - the first time in 25 years. The response above show and speak volumes in respect of what the average Bear is thinking at the moment. Maybe, justs maybe this is the action required to finally force SDM to act. I urge ALL season ticket holders to think long and hard before renewing. Don't worry, there is no waiting list of punters ready and willing to take your place. If I don't renew, I'll just buy tickets for the games I want to go to via the ticket centre. Cammy F

OMG, the press will have a field day - why don't we invite Linfield over and make it a round-robin comp - it may be the announcement that finally does old gerry in... Cammy F - Can't Wait For This Loyal RSC

Who do you consider the best organisation for representing Rangers fans?
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The RST, the only show in town... Cammy F -
that aren't really 'Rangers songs'... Come On Over To My Place Live It Up (its a long story!) Sunshine On Leith (no RFC fan at Easter Road on HS couldn't fail to be impressed by our rendition of this song!!!) I'm Lovin' It (McDonalds advert) Simply The Best Kind Of Magic Cammy F

A few guys who go on our bus have taken this to their MP and in his defence, he has sent a letter back stating his disgust at the treatment and has passed their concerns to the Minister for Sport. I would URGE all Rangers fans who were caught up in this brutal police offensive to contact their MP's as a matter of principle and urgency. I would copy the RST on all letters / emails / sent and any replies you recieve. I hope that it doesn't take the death of a Rangers fan(s) to get people to act on police brutality and inept segregation on our travels. Cammy F

Very little if I'm honest - I think its just my opinion of 'Scottishness' and supporting Scotland is different for theirs. Cammy F
-
It was the 'we hate Rangers more than you' chants at the ROI game in Dublin a few years ago that finally done it for me (along with the treatment dished out to Fergie and Neil McCann that evening). BTW, I was an ever present at Scotland games (at home) from about 1983 to 1989'ish and a frequent supporter until 1993ish... Cammy F

He was getting booed from the first minute of the game and maybe I'm being paranoid here, but if he was an ex-Hibs, ex-Hearts, ex-Aberdeen player, he wouldn't have been booed. There is still a (growing) anti-Rangers element at Scotland games that keeps people like me ( and I know it shouldn't) from returning to support Scotland. It'll never stop me wishing Scotland well Cammy F

What about the attacks on Rangers fans that aren't on youtube? What about the fans, all official Rangers Travel Club members, attacked prior to the game? Ther fans that were hounded of buses, kept in 'cells' and attacked if they questioned this style of Policing? What about the further attacks of the official Rangers Travel Club members as they were 'marched' from these cells along a tiny, narrow street where the Police and turned off all street lighting? Any fan stepping out of line was beaten by the Police. I was speaking to a guy yesterday who helped a lady from Liverpool who was at the game with her young son. Both were beaten by the Police and the lady never actually got into the game as she had a serious of panic attacks. The same guy told of a disabled Rangers fan who was put into a lift to get him to his seat and was LOST. The Police refused his 'helper' access to the lift and refused to look for him when he didn't appear at the game. Cammy F

Absolutely disgusted at the treatment Shota received from the Scotland 'fans' - you have to wonder if the club he played for, and loves, had anything to do with the booing.... Great win for Scotland, but not the greatest performance to be honest. Hard to pick a Scotland player our who played well for the entire 90 mins and thought that Georgia deserved a draw out of the game as they were the better team. Good to see AMc getting of to a winning start and carrying on from the foundations set by WS. Cammy F

Hope the English media are happy - chased Sven out and wanted him replaced by an 'Englishman'. Well, you got your wishes and England are now worse than they have been in many years. Pity Wales are doing so bad at the moment as with Scotland and NI flying, it would have been interesting to see a tourniment with Scotland, Wales and NI there and England not. Cammy F

Calscot, it was you that wrote a scathing post on those who are proud of the UF etc - I welcome any person with any views to support Rangers, do you? So I believe in most of the above (apart for hating catholics or craptic more than I love Rangers) and in your opinion, I don't bring anything good to Rangers? Yet, you are the one implying that I don't want 'your lot' around....? So I am an idiot that spoils it for everyone else am I? Funny way to talk about fellow fans Calscot... For the record, I have a great friend who supports the Rangers and he is a Scottish Nationalist and socialist. I have absolutely no issues with him supporting the Rangers, he is one of the best Rangers fans I know... I have another great friend who supports the Rangers and he is (whisper it) a catholic and again, I have absolutely no qualms about his love, passion and commitment to the Rangers. Cammy F

Hell, we even got fined by UEFA for a Craptic fan invading the pitch, drapped in a Palistine Flag and pope on a T-shirt who was screaming 'orange barstewards' to the Rangers fans as he was dragged away.... Cammy F
-
Care to expand on that statement Calscot? I have a healthy regard for the union flag, the OO (and Masons), WW11, The Boyne (and the reformation), the Royal Family and politics - does that somehow make me a sectarian bigot who shouldn't support Rangers? Cammy F

We are the most obvious? To who? Henrick Larsson, Mark Viduka, fuck the queen and davie copper (he's deid) - a lovely we ditty sung at EVERY OF game at Ibrox Cheer up (insert Rangers manager here) sad ORANGE BASTARD and shit football team - any time the tims beat us north men, south men one and all, soon there will be no protestants at all - sung at every OF game and every craptic away game, including Europe Are you watching ORANGE SCUM - again, sung at almost every tim away game including Europe That is just a selection of lovely wee ditties that are as obvious as us shouting effteepee.... I haven't even touched on the monkey noises you hear through-out Europe or the 'roman salutes' from the like of Lazio.... Aye, we are a lot more obvious right enough  The only reason we are 'more obvious' is that it is continually highlighted Cammy F
