After failing to convince the majority of Rangers fans to rename the club Sir David Murray Football Club, is this his latest attempt to have the club renamed? Bosman FC or simply Laughing Stock FC are the front runners. Yet, the vast majority of Bears still seem to be be backing SDM. After all, you can see where they are coming from - he did give us 9 in a row, Graeme Souness, rebuilt Ibrox from scratch and I am sure that the bible is wrong and it was SDM who actually gave us 'light and life'.... Since MB (:uzi: ) appears not to have the knack of actually landing a player who would 1 - enhance our team and 2 - cost a transfer fee, we have redirected our attentions away from a fantastic player to these two (oh, before reading the article, anyone guess what they have in common?) http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/11895 Cammy F

Probably means that our move for Cuellar will be put on the back burner. Bit dissapointed if that happens - Webster hasn't played for nearly a year now. Cammy F

Yes, he said that the club has accepted a bid from another club - he also said that at this moment, the player, himeself and the other club had a lot of talking to do. If we match or better that bid then we will also get to talk to the player (who still, according to all reports, prefers to join Rangers). Funnily enough, no mention of this accepted bid in ANY French media outlets last night or today Cammy F

Voted yes as I have always liked him as a player. In fact, I was surprised that we never went for him when he was at Motherwell. Regular international who has experience in the Championship and Premiership where he didn't look out of place. It is worth trawling the Wigan fans forums to seek their reaction on losing McCulloch - vast majority say that he would be missed at the JJB...... Cammy F

We are tabling a bid of £5M today and hope to sign the player on Monday - guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens Cammy F

ET stating that neither OF clubs have made a bid yet... Cammy F

Yip, that is what I thought as well. The cheaper seats are in the top tier behind the goals. The most expensive seats (hospitality apart) are in the bottom tier near the half-way line. Bayern have also restriced the number of season ticket holders to 34,000 (they claim that they could have sold over 70,000) as they want as many fans as possible to buy tickets and see the team. Visiting fans are put up in the top tier, in the corners. Our guide stated that this is true for all games including CL and they try to limit the numbers of visiting fans to the legal minimun. That is twice Capello has won the league and been sacked for it.,... Those Spaniards are crazy... Cammy F

Yes and eh, YES.... Cammy F

Have some pics and will upload later... The two Munich teams went halfers on the new stadium and planned to recoupt the money thro hospitality. One entire tier of one stand is for hospitality and Bayern have sold these out every season and have a waiting list. 1860 were relegated after their first season in the arena and can not get investment. So Bayern paid for their share and now own the stadium and 1860 rent. Ticket prices for Bayern start at 20 Euros and reach anything up to 50 Euros for the best seats. 1860 start at 15 Euros and reach 35 Euros for the best seats. There is also a standing area behind one goal (the Bayern end) that is used for domestic games. Cammy F

Done it years ago when they had quite a few references to Rangers - photos of our European triumph along with us being invited back the year after to play in their anniversary tourniment Cammy F

According to the ET we are chasing 2 other targets; http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.1503867.0.0.php Cammy F

The tour guide we got must have had 1860 leanings as well as she referred to Bayern as FC Hollywood at least 4 times and stated that they like to show off how much money they have to 'visitors'. Also, 1860 are referred to as 'The Blues' so that kinda swung it!! Purchased a cracking retro top that is identical to the Argintinian top...!! Meant to say that Bayern fans have been given part of the stadium dedicated to a 'fans museum' - this is worth a visit with some very dody German fgashion on display along with some brilliant photos of Bayern fans displays etc Cammy F

Myself and Mrs Cammy are just back from a great break in Munich and we took in the official tour of the Allianz Arena - home of Bayern and 1860 Munich. Stadium tour cost us 9 Euros each and they have an 'English Tour' everyday (excluding match days) at 1:00PM. The tour takes approx 75 minutes to complete. It starts with a short film on the construction of the stadium then you are taken to various parts of the ground and visit the dressing rooms etc. The only negative for me was the fact that you aren't allowed out the tunnel and onto pitch side. Bayern now own the stadium and 1860 pay rent to use the stadium so as you would expect, the tour and details favour Bayern. We chose to visit and purchase merchindise from the 1860 shop!! If you are in Munich, I would recommend the tour - there is a train station 5 minutes walk from the arena Cammy F

Don't know how the ticket office arrives at the pots - I was pot 5 last year, pot 8 this year which saw me get Killie, Motherwell, Abergreen, Hibs and DUFC... Cammy F

Latest on Faubert - he has gone on strike trying to force a move to Rangers - looks like the lad wants to play for us then!!! http://www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/11491 Cammy F

If we got those 5 in (or players of similar quality) then I would be happy - it would be a step in the right direction - especially if we can tempt Fuabert and Cuellar. It would also give us a decent squad to build on - meaning limited movement in the next 2 or 3 transfer widows Cammy F

To be fair, the story is coming from France and from the most respected football magazine in France. For once, nothing to do with our shit press or SDM lapdogs in said forth estate. Cammy F
-
Looks like a decent bit of business IMO - a player with international experience who has also played in Holland, EPL and the Champions League. If he is as good and as solid performer as his countryman Reyna was for us, then I'll be more than happy. Cammy F

This signing was rumoured not long after we signed JCD as they are close friends and some were saying it was the major reason for signing JCD. I don't think that we'll pay the entire £4.3M as I believe that if this DOES go thro, Sionko will move in the opposite direction and we'll pay around £3.5M (exactly what we were offering for Brown). If and its still a HUGE IF we do sign Fuabert, it would be a fantastic signing and one that IMO would eclipse most of our signings since the likes for Laudrup. This is a fantastic player and exactly the type of player The Rangers should be signing. The article in todays Scotland On Sunday tells the real story tho - Faubert wants to move to the EPL but doesn't think he is ready at the moment and sees a move to the SPL (ala Boumsong) as a logically stepping stone. I have no problem with this as we should make a profit on any deal and have a fabulous player for ~3 years. Cammy F

A 3-0 win at Ibrox in 84-85 with McCoist, Durrant and Cooper scoring - we were dire back then, but gave them an almighty doing that day The day we won the league at their midden - end of 2-1 Skol Cup Final victory at Hampden - our first trophy under Souness - the begining of the era where we totally dominated Scottish Football (again). Cammy F

for the cynical among us - no quality signings this summer?
CammyF replied to bmck's topic in Rangers Chat
I've said it repeatedly, they will chaining the main doors at Ibrox shut and still the majority of Rangers fans will be praising him. Cammy F -
Derby are quoted as interested in mcFadden and are preparing a £3M bid - thats us out the running if true. Cammy F

IMO Murray is one of the worst players to pull on a Rangers shirt since Jim Denny. Cammy F
