What next, Walter Smith using Boruc's flag antics as 'banter'. Knowing Rangers, I wouldn't put it passed them.... Cammy F

Fraser, where did I say McCoist was against our club? I am using this latest 'slip' as more evidence that the majority of people who are leading our club care not one iota about you and me. I certainly didn't think it was a laugh, and anyway, you'd be hard pushed to find a beach anywhere near 'Suville'. BTW, the brilliant card displays at Ibrox happened after this also. Surely, a 'Rangers Legend' should be using positive examples of HIS own support rather than their bitterest (sic) rivals. As I said, can you imagine Tommy Burns using US as an example for Craptic fans to follow Cammy F

Craig, McCoist KNEW that he was there to talk about sectarianism etc so he should have been prepared. He is a RANGERS employee and I expect nothing more than a RANGERS employee to use RANGERS as a positive example, and not Craptic. There are so many positive examples he could have used, some that could have been plucked from his vast experience as a RANGERS player. Can you imagine Tommy Burns in the same situation using the brilliant Union Flag and Soltire card display as a 'positive' example when discussing Craptic supporters problems? Cammy F

Fraser, an employee of Rangers Football Club claimed last season that WE ARE THE PEOPLE is sectarian. That is what we are up against. Fraser, we did the same at Parkhead during 9-in-a-row, a game in which a certain Ally McCoist played in - why didn't he use this as his example? Why didn't he use say, the orange cup final as an example of how fans can and should behave? Or, going on more recent 'displays', why didn't Ally McCoist use any of the fantastic card displays in Europe as his example? Cammy F

Who can forget that a journalist compared the match day experience at Ibrox to the Nurenburg rallies - what did our custodian do about this? We have had journos call us 'orange scum'. 'bigots', 'vile and repugnent' etc and nothing has been done. No sactions taken against them - in fact they are all still allowed FREE access to Ibrox on matchdays. All our custodian wants to do is suck their cock and bend over and get it royally from the rear (unless they attack him personally) - this is strong language, but this is how I feel. SDM is going to go down in history as the man that killed Rangers and for that, the press in Scotland will make him a 'Saint'. Cammy F

But look what we are up against - this may sound paranoid, but no matter how squeaky clean we become, there are people (in power) out there that won't rest until Rangers are no longer. There are people out there (I would call them bigots) who are repulsed just by the fact that we exist. There are people (I'd call them bigots) who are offended by ANYTHING we do. Don't believe me? Where else would the colour of a shirt be linked to a murder in NI? Where else would a paper claim that grass was cut like 'a sash'? Where else would media outlets ignore one sides failings yet jump on and make up lies against the other sidae? I'll tell you where, here in Bonnie Scotland. Its time that the custodians of our club grew a set of balls and challanged these BIGOTS head on - but no, dignified silence and blackening the name of our club and fans to try to apease these bigots is the way forward according to Mr Murray Cammy F

Nobody is denying that we need to get our house in order, but why do Rangers have to tell us this every other week? We are getting our house in order and we have dropped the songs that we were asked to (TBB and anything with effteepee). We then get a statement from Rangers telling us to stop anything that is offensive (I thought we had, see above) but NO indication from Rangers as to what is 'now offensive' and 'offensive to whom'. BMCK put is brilliantly regarding Ally McCoists comments ; And SJ statement was factually incorrect to the detriment of OUR clubs reputation - ie HE LIED This season could see us docked points for singing our national anthem and songs like RB and see clubs like Aberdenn ignored whilst singing songs about the Ibrox Disaster - that won't be our fault, it'll be the fault of the spineless bastards that are running our club Cammy F

So if we are to act more like Tims, here are some things we need to do during the Chelsea game tomorrow ; Invade the pitch Throw Mars Bars at the Directors Throw ourselves of the Club Deck Attack the referee on the pitch then run round to his house and smash up his house Post the address of the linesman on the internet Find out what school the officials children go to. Post these on the internet then go around and abuse said children Sing vile and repugnent songs Get a jet diverted to Cardiff Amass the most arrests at a game (like the Tims managed at Balckburn) Stab a fellow fan in the pie 'q' Shoot a fellow fan in a pub prior to the game Boo thro silences for the Ibrox disaster Boo thro silence for the Queen Mum MAke plane jestures to American players Dress up in monkey suits and throw bananas at Mark Walters Racially abuse our OWN players So come Bears, we've got some reputation to live up to, eh Ally? Killie will accept the highest bid they have for the player at the end of the transfer window. They will not keep an 'unhappy' player. Wouldn't it be funny if ours is the highest bid and Mr Bain and Mr Murray tell Killie to stick the player up their arse of they come grovalling to us to buy him? Or say, well since no one else has bid, or new offer is £500,000..... Cammy F

Not harsh at all - these new rules effect every team in Scotland, do you here their 'people' making rash, ill-informed and self loathing statements like you hear on a weekly basis from Ibrox? What Rangers are doing is giving the press more reason to print that we are the ONLY club with a problem. Why keep highlighting this? Why keep the focus on us? The answer, they don't want us, in fact the powers that be hate us. Surely a statement that read as follows would have been better received ; Rangers FC recognise that a small section of our fans, like a small section of fans from every other Scottish Club sing songs that are offensive and we are working to eradicate these. Rangers would like to thank the vast majority of fans who have backed previous pleas from the club and who have supported our drive to eradicate sectarianism and racism from Scottish, European and World football. -------------- Ally McCoist indicated that Craptic fans are a 'hoot' as they came to Ibrox dressed in silly hats and through beach balls onto the pitch. Failed to mention that they then proceeded to sing songs in support of child murderers then sang 'fuck the queen and davie cooper, he's dead'. Someone at our club needs to get hold of reptiles like Jardine and tell them to bite their fookin lips before speaking to the press. He has effectively told lies and made us look like arses - and he gets paid for the privilage. Our club is rotten from the top dowm, when are we going to realise this and act? Cammy F

SWEEP SWEEP springs to mind... And to think, employees oof our great club believe that we'd be better if we behaved and acted more like these terrorist loving scumbags. The mind boggles Cammy F

If any further evidence was required that the people who run (or ruin) or club hate us, we were given some fine nuggets from Scott, Jardine and more dissapointingly, Ally McCoist over the last 2 days. The latest anti-sectarian release from Ibrox was a monumental own goal and Ally, if you really think that us, Rangers fans, should act more like Tims then you have dropped in my estimations. I'll leave you with quotes (todays Herald) from another Rangers 'legend' and Murray LAPDOPG Sany Jardine ; "When I came here in 1964, we had no Catholics," he said. "Not just the playing staff, anywhere. There was no bit of paper, it was an unwritten rule. David Murray changed that and it moved on significantly in 1989 when Maurice Johnston signed. You cannot clear up 80 years of sectarianism in eight months, but we are a huge way down the road." ---------------------------------------- Wise up Bears, we need to eject this regime and we need to eject it NOW. Glad to hear Frankie as the situation is an utter disgrace and reflects badly on RFC - especially at this time of the season where we are welcoming fans from all over Europe. Cammy F

As the new season approaches, and everything off and on the field appear to stay the same (Groundhog Day for us Bears) and gets harder and harder to unearth new, imaginative Rangers related subjects to ââ?¬Ë?rant aboutââ?¬â?¢. You can only write so many words on the financial mismanagement of David Murray, on the woeful negotiation skills of Martin Bain, on the shambolic Rangers ââ?¬Ë?PRââ?¬â?¢ or on the mediaââ?¬â?¢s perpetual attacks on anything remotely linked to RFC. I would love to start the new season ranting about our new and exciting signings, but deep down, I think we all realise that none of our new players are truly exciting ââ?¬â?? they all look decent professionals who may (hopefully) improve our team, squad, results etc. I would love to wax lyrically about the rejuvenated Rangers squad, the new found hunger for success from our board who were pushing us in a new and exciting direction. However, as said above, weââ?¬â?¢ve all grown sick and tired and a tad disillusioned by Mr Moonbeam over the last 3-5 years. So, it looks like the opening rant of the season is yet another tale of woe emanating from our club. On Tuesday I waltzed along to Ibrox for the first home pre-season friendly and for the first time in my life, I was hit by the fact that how filthy Ibrox is. Now, I donââ?¬â?¢t mean that it just needs a lick of paint and we arenââ?¬â?¢t talking about ââ?¬Ë?shabbyââ?¬â?¢ here. Tardy doesnââ?¬â?¢t quite describe it either. Ibrox is absolutely filthy. The toilets are stinking (and not just of stale smoke), most of the seats in my area are covered in traces of food, drink and bird shit. The ground under the seats is covered in remnants of food and drink, chewing gum and God Knows what else. Now, having looked through some Rangers websites, this appears to ring true for throughout the stadium. Basically, Ibrox looks like it hasnââ?¬â?¢t been cleaned for sometime. We all pay a hefty price to go to Ibrox, be it through a season ticket or on a match by match basis and I think the least we can ask for is to watch the game from a clean seat, be able to place programmes and fanzines under our seats without them getting filthy and go to the toilet in comfort. This is just another tale of woe and another example of how our club is being run at the moment and nothing will change until we get rid of the current regime. Cammy F ââ?¬â?? We Are The Peopleââ?¬Â¦.

Agreed, but only in the first 65 minutes - when we 'reverted' to 4-5-1 we lost all shape and any chance of winning the game. On the 'eve' of your anniversary as well, tut tut  Can we trade? I have a problem in my eye and have been attending hospital for the last week and a bit getting injections directly into my eye, but the pain killers I've been given to counter this are awesome....!!! Del. Think we'll all  to that Cammy F

Yes, both Chairman and manager confirmed that a deal was 'close' - football speak for 'its a done deal'. Then, for some reason they added another £500,000 and then the deal was 'off'. As for valuation, £2M pounds for a player who has yet to be capped for his country, has shown only 'potential' is way over the odds. Look at Ajax last night, they had two of the best players on the park, both cost less than £1M over the summer. Cammy F

Thats not strictly true - we met Killies demands and had an offer accepted last Thursday, only for Killie to up their valuation by another £500,000. As I said on another thread, Killie ACCEPTED (then declined) an offer from us little over 6 months ago of £400,000. That being the case, why should we have gone in with say a £2M pound bid this time around? Am I the only one wondering why Killie have only gone public on OUR bids, but not on the 'other bids' they have on the table? Or, could it be that we are the ONLY club who have bid for the player? If Killie have other bids from other clubs, let them deal with these clubs. We are right to walk away from this deal - ball is in their (and the players court). Killie are playing a dangerous game as if the player and his advisors are to be believed, Rangers are the only club he is willing to talk to. Cammy F

I don't know if its tax or not, but the Whittaker deal will not be announced (or completed, depending on who you believe) until August 1st (or after). Most Hibbees that I know all say that the deal has been completed and Whittaker is a 'Rangers player'. Cammy F

No, I think WS will resort to a rigid 4-4-2 - this will mean Fergie, Thomson and Hendami fighting it out for the middle 2 slots (all three will play away European games and OF etc) with McCulloch, Adam, Beasley and Burke fighting it out for the wide positions. JCD will play 'off' Boyd, dropping deap to link up with the midfield. I would like to see Buffel given a run in the team as he is probably the most skilful player we have at Ibrox at the moment. Cammy F
-
Actually, Fergie did this in the first half - linked up well with JCD, Boyd and McCulloch. Was only when we made tactical changes at half-time did the 'something missing' become 'more evident'. In fact, it was Hendami who looked off the pace last night - I know it is only pre-season, but he looked sluggish all game. However, the signing of an attacking midfield player is a must - it would help Fergie (remember his link up play with RDB) as well as the forwards and the team in general. Cammy F
-
I believe that the 4-4-2 formation and personel on display last night will be what we go with at the start of the season. The only change would be Thomson in for either Adam (or Hendami). The positives from last night were the solid performance by the defence and especially Hutton and CC. JCD had a very decent Ibrox debut and showed that he will be an asset over the course of the season. He is stong, fast and linked up well with Boyd. IMO McCulloch had an outstanding game last night - he is solid, can tackle, is good in the air and linked up well with the strikers. Maybe he will justify the £2M price tag...... Another positive is that we looked a genuine threat from set-pieces. With Adam's pinpoint delivery and the ariel threat of Weir, JCD, CC, McCulloch, Hutton et al..... As others have said tho, still get the feeling that there is 'something' missing. Cammy F

But lets remember that Killie accepted (then declined) a £400,000 offer from us in January for SN. Cammy F
-
For what it is worth, I think were are blameless in this situation. On Thursday, Killie confirmed that the two clubs had verbally agreed a fee for SN and that the transfer was to take place over the weekend. We made the bid 'official' and Killie booted it out. This is an interesting saga as Killie have lied through their teeth from the beginning and were at it again over the weekend stating that 2 other clubs have made better offers than Rangers. Rangers are the only club to have put in any official bids and most importantly, Rangers are the only club the player is interested in talking to. Killie are ~£10M in debt and it is astonishing that they have turned down ~£1.5M pounds (the only offer on the table) for SN when we can sign him on a free transfer next season. As I stated when this saga began, don't be surprised if SN is still a Killie player this season. Cammy F

He is more comfortable as a midfield player rather than right back - Hibs use him as a right back, but played right midfield thro the ranks at Easter Road. Cammy F
