  2. Yeah, but it is just annoying that players are no longer given time to settle (have they ever actually) at Rangers before be written off. Hopefully Cousin will show the same attitude and ability as LMc has. His scoring record, for the French league is decent and he has scored something like 13 goals in 16 games in Europe. He was also the 2nd top scorer in France the season before last. BTW, report on the ET says he is match fit and raring to go for Saturday and Tuesday. Also mentions that if we progress in Europe and ship out unwanted players then another 2 additions to the squad are likely. Cammy F
  3. Yeah, unfamiliar for us having options for almost every position. Will be interesting to see how we line up on Saturday. With St Midden likely to flood the midfield WS might be tempted to go 4-3-3 so Hendami might come in with Novo and Run DMB out wide supporting McCulloch. Cammy F
  4. For all his knockers out there Cousin has a better scoring record in France and Europe than a certain Dado Prso had when he joined us. Lens weren't desperate to sell him, he was desperate to leave (there is a difference) and we paid less than £1M pounds for him (E1.5M). Oh, and the spending *might* not be finished as we are looking to sign cover for left back. Cammy F
  5. One thing that we have this season that we didn't last is OPTIONS. With the addition now of Whittacer and Cousins god knows what the team will be? McGregor Hutton Weir CC Papac Whittacer Thomson Fergie McCulloch / Run DMB Cousins / Boyd Novo Cammy F
  6. Oh, I agree that BOTH are unacceptable - it appears that the SFA, SPL and UEFA don't tho - the is the point that I a driving at. If is unacceptable (and it is) to be to your knees in fe**** blood then it is unacceptable to be up to your knees in *anyones* blood. I could also trawl the net (I prefer not to) for other evidence of republicans and CFC fans refering to themselves as fe****. I don't have to tho, my friend as a mug bought in Glasgow with the legend - still an unrepentant fe*** barstward. Cammy F
  7. In that case, what has it got to do with Celtic Football Club and a Celtic Supporters Club? Why are they referring to themselves as fe*** bhoys? Going by those rules, it is OK for Celtic fans to refer to themselves as fe**** but no one else can? A bit like afro-americans calling each other n******??? So are they Celtic f*****s, New York f*****'s, or just f*****'s? And is it OK for me to call them F*****'s Cammy F - Confused Loyal RSC
  8. The Scum were today reporting (read a copy at work) that the Police last night were on 'high alert' and were ready for action, all dolled up in their riot gear, batons and shields at the ready. The reason for this according to The Scum? The invading bigots from Glasgow. In reality, the Bears who travelled reported a great reception from locals and Police. In case you think I'mm lying, here is a pitcure from a Bear of the Police escort to the ground (cyber pint to the first person or scum reporter who can point out a riot cop ready for action).... Cammy F
  9. This is a very valid point and one that could be used regarding The Billy Boys. If it is unacceptable to be up to your knees in fe**** blood, surely it is also unacceptable to be to your kness in Hibee, Ayr, Killie, Arab etc blood? Well, not according to the Scottish media, SFA, SPL and Uefa - go figure... Cammy F

3rd qualifying round - Mr Bain's phone is going to be red hot (and not just with booking sun-beds) until noon tomorrow. Cammy F

JCD and Boyd *could* be out for 2-3 weeks so it looks like Mr Smith is in a hurray to sign another sticker before the deadline tomorrow.... Cammy F
  12. And I remember one year in the mid-80's it was on the same day as a Hibs Rangers game at Easter Road. Never seen so many 'hard men' (well they looked hard growling at folks on Princess Street) hide behind those they hate (British Police Force) when a few thousand Bears decided to gatecrash their 'walk' :uzi:  Cammy F
  13. How long before the lying scumbags in the media say it was us who racially abused Run DMB? Well, they have previous, some of them have printed that it was us who racially abused Mark Walters on his Rangers debut and throw bananas at him.... Cammy F - Cynical Ole Bassa Loyal RSC
  14. Well BC2, some of your fellow fans don't agree with your definition - this badge was taken of a CFC website - EDIT - also remember hearing your fans singing a version of Roamin' In The Glomin (sp) with the line 'With St Patricks Fen*** band'..... As far as I am aware, the Fen*** movement is now part of the Ancient Order Of Hiberian will is still alive and kicking in this, and other countries. But like you say, better to agree to disagree....! Cammy F
  15. Exactly - but there is no denying that some Rangers fans do not know the meaning of the word and that it is today, used as a descrimonary term for 'catholics'. Cammy F
  16. It makes you wonder what The Goalie would have been worth in todays over-inflated transfer market. Cammy F
  17. BC2 - very interesting reply and well put. However, there is a 'F*****n movement' and there are plenty of people who proudly call and refer to themsevles as f***** and as such, it should be considered the same as 'orange' when it comes to the sectarian debate. Your arguement regarding the IRA is also interesting, but come on, could the vast majority of those singing about the IRA tell you the history of the IRA and the troubles in NI? I doubt it - exactly the same with the majority of Rangers fans who sing about the UVF. The original UVF which most 'loyalist songs' refer to were a decorated regiment in the British Army and in no way were they 'sectarian'. However, the same can't be said about today. The term HUN is was deemed unacceptable by the Scottish Executive and NDM but yet we still get mainstream journalists etc using this term with impunity. In fact, we even had John Hartson use this term when interviewed on TV - yet none of them have been brought to task over the use of the word. BTW, Bryce was a fellow timposter who used this forum for ages - was just wondering if BC2 was a reincarnation of Bryce.. Cammy F

whisper it, but the SN deal *may* be back on - from what I am hearing from a semi-reliable source currently out in Montenegro the deal for SN could be reconstructed if we qualify this evening and he could be signed before the next CL deadline. Hold onto your hats, here we go again......:uzi: Cammy F
  20. From what I am hearing, Novo isn't 100% fit that is why he has started the season on the bench - he is a great player to have coming off the bench to make an impact when required. Can't say that I am surprised with the team line-up, just about what most of us would have expected. Cammy F
  21. BC2 (is it Bryce Cundy per chance, thats for another thread!!), you are correct in what you say. For instance, I do not find 'rebel songs' offensive but as soon as the IRA are mentioned, then yes, I do find them offensive. I also find any reference to 'hun', 'animals' and DOB's offensive as well. Craptic have many 'rebel songs' that they have bastardised like 'We Are All Of To Dublin In The Green - FCUK the Queen', 'North Men South Men one and all, Soon there will be no Protestants at all' etc and yes I find these offensive. However, where the SFA have fooked up is by saying that any offensive song is to be 'investigated'. As Gordon Smith says, will the SFA close down stands at Hampdump as soon as the TA sing (the homophobic) Jimmy Hill song and their usual anti-English bile? This is going to be a long hard season off the pitch for most clubs. Cammy F
  22. Another fantastic statement by the RST and hopefully one that will be picked up and used by the media. Also worth noting that David Edger was superb on both SSN and Real Radio tonight. How this man isn't the PR for Rangers I'll never know. Cammy F
  23. A very entertaining game by all accounts. Cammy F
  24. If JCD isn't fit then I'd go with the team you posted. However, if he is fit, he'd get the nob to play lone striker ahead of McCulloch simply due to his pace. I would then replace DMB with McCulloch. Cammy F
  25. We must build on this early slip-up - we have two home games, they have two away, so we MUST take 6 points from the next two games and hope that they drop even more. Cammy F
