But due to the nature of the injury and Smith having missed pre-season, we won't know when he'll be ready for first team action. Same applies to Buffel who if fit and interested surely rates a mention in our best 11. Cammy F

Interesting true story from a guy who goes on our RSC bus and owns his own window cleaning firm. He landed a contract to clean a football players windows in Airth but didn't know / ask / care who this footballer was - it was business after all. Anyway, his firm was cleaning the windows for a while and no one ever saw who this mystery footballer was - they assumed that he was at training etc when they were cleaning his windows. So this goes on for a while until one day, the footballer appears at his door and asks the guy cleaning his windows to get his boss over now. The 'boss' was actually on the job that day and wandered over to see what the problem was. The footballer in question asked the 'boss' - 'Are all your guys Rangers fans' - the 'boss' replied - 'Not them all, but most of them'. The footballer then told the 'boss' to get his lads of his property and to 'fook off' and don't come back. It transpires that the footballer had heard one of the guys mobiles going off with Follow Follow as the ringtone and wan't a happy chappy. The footballer must have then decided that he didn't want Rangers fans cleaning his windows - the footballer in question - jeez should I spill the beans.... Craptic sub Derek Riorden Cammy F

Very hard to chose a MON as we were very flat for an hour - torn between Webster and CC. Cammy F -
Craig, all about opinions, but 4-4-2 has delivered us 3 very easy and convincing victories at Ibrox so far - scoring plenty of goals and Falkirk apart, concending very few.... OK the oppo hasn't been the greatest, but against teams like Hearts, Hibs, AFC, Craptic, Killie etc who will offer more at Ibrox, and IMO 4-4-2 is the strongest formation that we have. 3-5-2 isn't set up for attacking football IMO - it stagnates teams as the wide men feel they have to defend rather that attack. in a 4-4-2 especially when you have only 1 forward to mark, both full backs have liecence to bomb forward (as Hutton does brilliantly as does Papac but less so - if that makes sense). The formation I'd like to see WS try at home more often is 4-3-3. We have the players for this and against teams playing defensively, it streches them more then 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. As we are a new team and have new players bedding in, in fully expect WS to (rightly) play it safe and play to our strengths. That means making us hard to score against and playing solid - rigid 4-4-2 (or 4-5-1). Over time, he may revert to other formations. Oh, and I don't think we can argue over the results delivered by these formations and tactics so far Cammy F

Has to be 4-4-2 for domestic games ; McGregor Hutton Weir CC Papac Whitty Thommo Fergie McCulloch JCD Cousin For Europe and 'tough' domestic away games the 4-5-1 McGregor Hutton Weir CC Papac Whitty Thommo Hendami Fergie McCulloch / Beasley (as DMB gives you added pace) JCD or Cousin - both seem equally well equipted to play the lone striker role One thing that has really pleased me is that most of our signings can play in several positions. Faye can play midfield of denfence, McCulloch can play midfield or upfront, Beasley can play wide left or right, Naismith can play wide, through the middle or off the front (ditto Gow) - we have GENUINE options for the first time since the first to 50 season. Another positive is that we have signed players who genuinely seem to want to play for Rangers, and I am counting the 'foriegn' players in that as well. CC, JCD, Cousin, Faye etc have all said positive things about signing and playing for Rangers and Cousin and JCD are playing with niggles / injuries. WS has also signed Rangers fans in players like Carrol, McCulloch, Gow, Naismith and Whitty all of whom have spoken of their joy and desire to play for Rangers. We have a squad that is giving everything for us at the moment and as fans that is all we can ask for and long may that continue. If we can add a little sparkle to that, it may be a very successful season. Cammy F

... well, for the moment anyway ;-) , as we've got a very important SPL game on Saturday. We welcome Gretna to Ibrox for the first time (still doesn't look right - Rangers v Gretna!) and we must keep our minds on these type of games. Do we expect WS to 'rotate' his squad and bring in 'fringe players' like Gow, Broadfoot, Burke, Adam et al or do we expect WS to stick to his favoured team/squad selection ? IMO team (injuries permitting ) will be along familiar lines ; AMc Hutton Weir (who IMO needs a rest) / Webster CC Papac (or Broadfoot / new signing if Papac leaves before Saturday) Whitty Fergie Thomo McCulloch / Run DMB perm any 2 from JCD / Novo / Cousin / Boyd / a-n-other depending on transfers Cammy F

SKY Sports Spanish journalist Graham Hunter has just been on giving reaction to todayââ?¬â?¢s CL draw and was asked what Barca think of being in the same group as Rangers. After talking about ââ?¬Ë?ticket scrambleââ?¬â?¢ etc he stated that Puyol, Barcaââ?¬â?¢s captain stated that Rangers were a ââ?¬Ë?mythical clubââ?¬â?¢ (think something got lost in translation there) and that Rangers were still revered by the Catalans for giving Francoââ?¬â?¢s Fascist Police ââ?¬Ë?a doingââ?¬â?¢ after being ââ?¬Ë?wrongly set uponââ?¬â?¢. That admission (not to say praise!) from Barcaââ?¬â?¢s captain certainly flies in the face of the eternal lies we have been fed by the TWATS (Tims With Typewriters). They have been telling anyone whoââ?¬â?¢ll listen to them since that we went over there raped, pillaged and in one cretins case, ransacked a Chapel. It is also worth noting that after UEFA had decided to ban us from Europe, we received an invitation to be part of the Juan Gampar tournament in 1974 ââ?¬â?? IIRC this was to celebrate Barcaââ?¬â?¢s 75th anniversary. I wonder if any of the unbiased Scottish press will run with Puyolââ?¬â?¢s kind and sincere words tomorrow? And I hope Graham Hunterââ?¬â?¢s house insurance is up to date. Cammy F

ââ?¬Ë?Go Home Ya Hunsââ?¬â?¢ ââ?¬â?? Sectarianism at Celtic Park?
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Well, it appears that Craptic FC deem it sectarian / offensive : "Celtic have warned staff that they can be sacked for calling Rangers fans 'huns'". The ban on the use of the word has also resulted in fans being thrown off the club's website. The club has revealed that any member of staff saying 'hun' can face disciplinary action or be sacked and fans may be asked to leave the ground if they use the word." http://www.ntvcelticfanzine.com/edit.../ed96hword.htm Cammy F- 16 replies

It's like comparing apples and pears - most of the 92 team had been at Rangers for a few seasons (or more) - most of this seasons team have been here for 8 games - not fair to compare and contrast. IMO Carlos, Hutton and Fergie would get into the 92 team relatively easily and lets remember that McCoist and Hateley onlt played a couple of group games as a partnership (if at all - Hateley got sent of against Brugge and McCoist was injured) - so Cousin, JCD and Boyd would have walked in ahead of Gary McSwegen. Reports on Clyde stating that Rangers fans getting pelted with missiles in nthe stadium and the bus taking the Scottish journalists to the ground attacked with bottles (sounf familiar?) - reports stating that Red Star fans to blame. Lets hope for a safe return for all our fans, players and staff. Not point asking for Uefa to take action, as long as the Red Star fans don't sing any 'nasty songs'.... Cammy F

ââ?¬Ë?Go Home Ya Hunsââ?¬â?¢ ââ?¬â?? Sectarianism at Celtic Park?
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Selective Hearing or something more 'untoward'? Isnââ?¬â?¢t it strange that the Scottish media and the SPL representatives have only heard the big bad Rangers fans singing ââ?¬Ë?unacceptable songsââ?¬â?¢ so far this season? Yeah, OK it isnââ?¬â?¢t strange and sadly, it is rather predictable. Since our opening day ââ?¬Ë?reprimandââ?¬â?¢ the other mhob have indulged in ââ?¬Ë?unacceptable songsââ?¬â?¢ yet the SPL and more importantly, the 4th estate have remained tight lipped. On their trip to Aberdeen, they were clearly heard singing pro-IRA and anti-Presbyterian songs and even had a fan arrested and charged by the Police. Strangely the media and SPL didnââ?¬â?¢t hear these songs. Whilst at home to Hearts at the weekend, 45,000 fans were heard to sing ââ?¬Ë?Go Home Ya Hunsââ?¬â?¢ and ââ?¬Ë?The Wee Huns are Shiteââ?¬â?¢ and yet again, this has gone unreported in the media and by the SPL representative. A more cynical person than myself would claim that it isnââ?¬â?¢t selective hearing but proof positive of an anti-Rangers agenda. Last night on Real Radio, two 'journalists' said that they were 'unaware' of these songs on Saturday. Thats right, the same two journalists claimed that they clearly heard a few hundred Rangers fans singing sectarian songs at Inverness but couldn't hear over 40,000 Craptic fans singing them on Saturday. I watched the NI game last week and thought that, in the first half, he was the worst NI player on the pitch. However, he did improve after the break and given that it was his return to the international set-up after a fall out with LS, maybe that was the reason for the 'slow start'. Have to say that I was once again impressed with David Healy - can't help but think we lost out there - a proven goal scorer for just over a million. Cammy F

Brilliant read Barry and it won't be long until the Bold Graham is writing for more 'streetwise' outlets like the Retard and Scum as if rumours are to be believed, the readership of The Times is plumeting and Graham has been cought submitting match reports for games he wasn't even at..... Fantastic game of football yesterday that Falkirk contributed to with a positive outlook and they also played some very decent football (witnessed in their 2 goals). One thing that impressed me yesterday was the way that as soon as Falkirk scorded, we upted our tempo and regained 2 goal advantage. Great seeing the strikers contributing and WS has a nice problem in who he selects next week. SW had a brilliant debut and if that is what he have to look forward to, we have a fantstic and strong midfield 4 in SW, BF, KT and LMc with Hendami, Run DMB and Adam waiting in the wings. Cammy F

Was getting the bus along PRW yesterday around 2:40PM and as usual the bus was rammed full of Rangers fans making their way to the game. As the bus stopped outside The Swallow Hotel, a few Bears (including our party) alighted to walk down to Ibrox. As we were alighting the bus, guess what stepped forward? Yes, a family of MOPES all bedecked in green and grey hoops. Now, no one said anything to the MOPES and as we got of the bus, I watched to see if anything untoward happened. It was then that my flabber was well and truly gasted. Instead of going into a house (as I thought they would) the family of MOPES crossed the road and jumped on a bus back into town. So, they had obviously gotten on our bus knowing that it would be full of Bears just to see if they would get a reaction ââ?¬â?? they are not normal cretins. Anyhoo, that was not the amusing incidentââ?¬Â¦ As they got up to leave the bus, a couple of English woman who were sitting near them said as they past, ââ?¬Ë?Didnââ?¬â?¢t know it was fancy dress todayââ?¬â?¢Ã¢â?¬Â¦ ;-) So a question to those Bears out there with kids, would you take them on a bus to The Cesspit (via the Gallowgate) on a match-day decked in Rangers regalia?
