  6. Wunderbar What can you say about the magnificent performance the team put in against Weder Bremen last Thursday evening? This was one of the best European displays at Ibrox for a few years and we deserve our 2 goal cushion going into this weeks 2nd leg. In fact, if Lee McCullock had been a little more alert, we could have killed the tie stone dead. I couldnââ?¬â?¢t have been the only one who feared the worst when I heard the team selection but there is no doubting that WS and his team got it 100% correct. We flooded the midfield which nullified their forward thinking players and we took control of the game from the first minute. Once we had established the tempo, we overran a very decent German outfit. Donââ?¬â?¢t let anyone tell you that this was a 2nd rate team ââ?¬â?? they were the top scorers in this years CL Group stages (they also conceded the most) and are sitting 2nd top of the German League. In fact, a Celtc fan that I know was cursing our luck and blaming the keeper. Ironic that, given the fact the fact that their keeper was a ââ?¬Ë?Timââ?¬â?¢Ã¢â?¬Â¦.. The atmosphere was also superb on Thursday evening but I can remember when that was the norm, not the exception at Ibrox. Itââ?¬â?¢s time that we started to back the team like we did on Thursday at every game. Letââ?¬â?¢s face it, they have done us proud so far, lets see if WE the fans can keep up that sort of performance for the remainder of the season. Scottish Cup The game against Hibs was never gone to reach the highs of the Bremen game, a case of after the Lord Mayors Show. However, another victory, another clean sheet and safe progress into the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup. Hibs never really threatened and if truth be told, we should have won far more convincingly. Naismith, Thompson, McCulloch all had clear chances to kill the game off and we have to be more clinical in those situations. Thankfully those wasted chances didnââ?¬â?¢t hinder or progress into the Ã?¼ finals. Nacho Novo deservedly got sent off for his lunging tackle, but strangely the referee and his assistants allowed Rob Jones to kick, push and cheat his way through the game even when he was on a yellow card. They also failed to notice a hIbs defender handle the ball with BOTH arms inside the penalty box minutes before Novo was sent off. I know people say that the these decisions even themselves out, but I canââ?¬â?¢t be coincidence that the same referee is responsible for all our red cards this season, can it? This Weeks Games It gets harder and harder to keep up with what fixtures we face on a weekly basis, but if Iââ?¬â?¢ve gotten my facts right, we play the UEFA return leg on Thursday then we have our first cup final in 3 years on Sunday. I understand that all games have differing priorities but this week, we require a result and / or performance to progress in Europe (more money and more coefficient points ââ?¬â?? we are blazing a trail for Scottish clubs this season ââ?¬â?? sitting 2nd top of the provisional CL pot 2 clubs). On Sunday, we make a long awaited return to the national stadium for the CIS Cup Final. I may be greedy, but since we havenââ?¬â?¢t won a trophy in some time, I would like to see us destroy DUFC and win the cup in style. In saying that, Iââ?¬â?¢d take a scrappy / lucky 1-0 victory right now. Animals and Sub-humans Now, these are not my words, but words used by an airhostess who had the privilege of being on duty on a flight from Barcelona to Glasgow after a recent CL tie. The airhostess tells of the captain of the flight ejecting 22 fans from the flight before take off. She also tells of fans being sick & pissing in the aisles as the instead of using the toilets. She also tells of passengers making sexist, sectarian and offensive remarks to the stewardess and pilot. Now, given the negative press we received whilst visiting Barcalona who may think the above story was stolen from the unbiased Scottish media reporting on our behaviour. Wrong, this is taken from an air-stewardess whoââ?¬â?¢s Dad works with Mrs Cammy and relates to Celtc fans returning to Scotland after last weeks CL tie against Barca. Here exact words were ââ?¬Ë?These animals are not human, in fact they are sub-humanââ?¬â?¢. Funnily enough, youââ?¬â?¢ll not read anything about this in our unbiased and impartial media though. 8. No failures last night however, special praise for the outstanding Broadfoot (who continues to impress), Davis, Fergie, Adam and Dailly. MOTM was Cousin - led the line superbly, battled all night and rammed the boos down the booboys throats (shame on them). Cammy F

  12. Sorry, I think its Boyd that doesn't have the intelligence to play in 4-5-1 - the other players look far more comfortable with JCD or Cousin upfront - prime example was Hearts at Tynecastle. Ripped them apart playing football on the ground with JCD then Novo playing the lone role and creating mayhem. Boyd just can't do that. Boyd comes into his own in a 4-4-2 where he has a partner as well as support from the wings and midfield. I cannot see WS adopting his style to accomidate Boyd. Rightly or wrongly, we'll stick to 4-5-1 as its served us well so far this season Cammy F
  13. Apologies for neglecting these recently, but I'll try to get rantings posted from now until the end of the season Nacho Novo Wasnââ?¬â?¢t it great to see wee Nacho score the goal that secured us a last 16 UEFA Cup tie Werder Bremem? The wee man was culpable of squandering a guilt-edged chances at Ibrox and it was fitting that he rammed home the goal that won us the tie on away goals. The wee man may not be the most skilful of players, but he gives you 110% every-time he pulls on a Rangers jersey. Werder Bremem will pose a real threat and will be as good as, if not better than the likes of Lyon, Barca and Stuttgart. It will take a gargantuan effort for us to win this tie. I know that a club like Rangers should be participating at this level annually but in my humble opinion we have more pressing matters on the domestic front as we strive to ensure that we donââ?¬â?¢t complete a 3rd trophyless season. In fact, we have actually done reasonably well European wise in the last three seasons whilst struggling domestically. That is the challenge for WS and his team ââ?¬â?? to ensure that we can regain domestic dominance whilst also challenging on the European front. Groundhog Day So once again the Red Scum were sent back to the frozen North with their fleecy tails between their legs. A visit to Ibrox must feel like Groundhog Day for those who chose to follow Abergreen. Some may say that it is only their hatred for us (only rivalled by Celtc) that drives them to continually turn up to Ibrox and witness their team being dismantled twice a year. Saturdayââ?¬â?¢s game was a very decent game of football and credit to Aberdeen who contributed to the entertainment in the first half. They created numerous chances before we managed to impose ourselves in the game and in the end, we ran out easy winners. Hats of to the impressive Christian Daily and Steve Davis who have illustrated in recent weeks that a stint in the EPL can greatly improve your footballing ability. Anyway, lets all regale the Red Scum with a wee song : 1 year since you won, since you won at Ibrox 2 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 3 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 4 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 5 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 6 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 7 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 8 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 9 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 10 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 11 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 12 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 13 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 14 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 15 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 16 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox 17 years since you won, since you won at Ibrox THE SILENCE OF THE SHEEP SINCE 1991 Daniel Cousin So as expected, Cousins projected move to Fulhum has fallen through and the Big Man is back at Ibrox. I for one will continue to give Cousin all my support if and when he pulls on the Rangers jersey. SDM, Martin Bain and McKay have left Cousin in an unenviable position. Everyone knows that you cannot play for 3 clubs in one season and by accepting the bid, they were setting Cousin up for a fall. Hopefully heââ?¬â?¢ll knuckle down and continue to put the ball in the back of the net and help us in our quest for trophies this season. Oh and so much for SDM stating the McLies wouldnââ?¬â?¢t be getting any scraps from our tableââ?¬Â¦.. So The Paranoia Begins Seven short days since Tommy Burns told the world that referees have a tough job and that they get things wrong on occasions (talking about the terrible decision to give diving Naka a freekick that won them the game at Love Street), suddenly the sound-bites from the Towers are oh so different. The Holy Goalie was at it again at the weekend and was gesticulating to the Hibs fans during and after their 2-0 victory and received a booking, where in all honesty, he could and probably should have received a red card. Now, we all know that The Holy Goalie has ââ?¬Ë?formââ?¬â?¢ and is hardly an ââ?¬Ë?innocentââ?¬â?¢ but Chesney will have you believe differently. So instead of claiming that referees have a tough job, suddenly they are all anti-Celtc and the whole of Scotland rejoices when they are defeated. Keep cranking up the pressure Rangers, as wee strapon is ready to implode. Andy Walker Now, I donââ?¬â?¢t like this little weasel for reasons other than he played for ââ?¬Ë?ra selickââ?¬â?¢ but had to laugh and his latest offerings in his media column. He was having a go at Celtc fans for their offensive songs directed at Gazza (no mention of their sectarian and pro-IRA chants) and the Abergreen fans for their songs relating to Ian Durrant (no mention of their vile chants about The Ibrox Disaster and Richard Gough). However, he couldnââ?¬â?¢t pen an article relating to offensive songs without referring to us. He claimed that we sing sick songs about Big Jock (who knew btw) Steins family. I have been following Rangers for too long to remember but for the life of me, canââ?¬â?¢t recall any offensive song relating to Big Jock (who knew btw) family. Andy, like many of your ilk, you are a lying scumbag. Cammy F ââ?¬â?? Support The Dublin Loyal - We Are The People
  14. One of the problems when we play Boyd (and this isn't his fault) is that we tend to play the 'long ball' game and deliver everything in the air to him. He does tend to get isolated and can not hold the ball up, or bring other players into the game (Cousin, JCD et al can). Boyd knows what parts of his game he needs to improve on and maybe its just me, but he doesn't appear to be improving in those areas. I would have JCD, Cousin and Novo up front before Boyd at the moment as we appear to be stuck with the 4-5-1 formation. Cammy F

  16. Davis, Daily, Fergie - either one of those three who were simply outstanding. Can't believe I'm saying this, but is Daily the missing link in midfield that allows Ferguson and Davis to dictate play in the attacking 3rd? Did his job brilliantly on Wednesday evening - protected the back 4 and let Davis and Fergie influence the game in advance positions Cammy F

  19. I for one will be leading a few renditions of We Love You Gazza on Sunday at Ibrox - I hope that everyone of the Rangers fans in attendance show their support for him at this horrible time in his life. As for the sub-humans from the other side of the city, they will have to answer to their maker at some point in time and as our Gazza says, may they all rot on hell. And they'll try and kid you on that they are 'christains' as well... Cammy F
  20. Time for the football family and Rangers in particular to rally round one of its most talented but fragile souls. Get well soon Gazza this Rangers fan will never forget what you achieved at OUR wonderful club. Cammy F
  21. At last a club willing to stand up for its fans in the face of aggressive and overhanded policing and stewarding of visiting fans at The Towers. If only our club would stand up for us when we visit the shithole. Cammy F
  22. Got a 'political' interest in it, purely due to the fact that I like and divulge in politics. Has nothing to do with my love for Rangers Football Club - however it's very niave to think that no Rangers (or Celtc) supporter has an interest in the above. Cammy F
  23. Dublin Rangers fans find new enemy in row over banner. Article by Colin Coyle. Supporting Glasgow Rangers in Dublin must fell like living behind enemy lines. But when 35-strong Dublin Rangers Supporters' Club raised a banner bearing that inscription at a recent match against Falkirk at Ibrox stadium, police ordered them to remove their "sectarian" banner. The flag, which bears the legend Behind Enemy Lines, along with the Rangers crest and the Scottish and St. George's Cross flags, was confiscated at the match on the instructions of police, for fear of it inticing sectarian hatred. The 20 travelling Irish supporters, who claim they have fallen foul of political correctness, were warned by stewards not to display the flag at subsequent matches. Steve Clark, co-founder of the supporters' club said the reference is a tongue-in-cheek allusion to supporting the club in a city dominated by fans of Glasgow Celtic, Rangers' greatest rivals. "Its a cheeky bit of fun, nothing more. It has nothing to do with the troubles or bigotry," he said. "We flew the banner against hearts in December and previously at an away match in Barcelona and had no problems, so we were very disappointed by the police's stance. "We are hoping to meet with the club before the next match . we're scheduled to attend on March 22 against Hibernian to convince them to overturn the ban. "The Rangers Supporters' Trust, which represents fans, backs us, and more than 1,000 fans have signed a petition in support of us." In a statement, Glasgow Rangers said it fully supported the police's decision to remove the banner. Rangers fans in Dublin already live a surreptitious existence meeting at a private members club to watch matches. "We have normal working-class Dubliners in the club, with no links to Glasgow, but none of us would wear a Rangers jersey in a Dublin pub, as it's asking for trouble," said Clark. "If we're attending a Rangers-Celtic match, we fly out of Belfast, where wearing a Rangers jersey is more acceptabke and less likely to lead to a confrontation." The supporters' club was formed in 2001 and has 35 permanant members. "When we forst set up, an Irish journalist interviewed a group of us and said it must be like being behind enemy lines; thats where we got our slogan said Clark. Richard Benjamin, a director of Nil by mouth, an anti-sectarian organisation based in Glasgow, said he sympathised with the Irish Rangers fans. "The slogan is open to interpretation and it's no surprise to hear it was allowed at one match and not another." he said "There are too many grey areas. Partisan chanting and slogans are part of the great rivalry and we dont want to lose that." ------------------------------------------------------------------ Cammy F
  24. I wonder if Scotland fans can continue to refer to England as the Auld Emeny since the word enemy appears to be taboo in football now? Cammy F
  25. The Blue Sea Of Ibrox should also be banned as it clearly descriminates against all other colours except blue - the same goes for the bluebells. What about the other colours of bells that are being descriminated against by those big bad bigotted Rangers fans. Cammy F - Always Willing To Help The Police (ACAB) Loyal RSC
