RDB at times looked 'disinterested' at times - however, I'd would say he is one of the best players I've ever seen at Ibrox. Cammy F

Yip, a chance for the fringe players and players returning from injury to get a run out : Burke, Velicka, Lafferty, Aaron, Edu, JCD, Fleck et al. Cammy F

As many have said, Miller was by far the most effective of the front two yesterday (as he has been in most of the games he 's played this season to be fair). As for Boyd's arial powers (or lack off), someone on our RSC said that he shrinks by at least a foot when he tries to jump! The guy also set a decent question : when was the last time Boyd scored with a header? I can't remember and neither could anyone on our RSC bus....? Cammy F

Oh dear, I got pelters for saying that Shagger shouldn't walk back straight into the team. Yet those who said he should as he is (really?) the best keeper we have, are now saying that the best player we've had for the past 3 years shouldn't walk straight back in to the team. What a fickle bunch us football fans are....:admin: I can't wait to see BF back in the Rangers team (when fit) and he, more than anyone will benefit from the the presence of Pedro Mendes. Mendes, Ferguson, Davis and Thompson make a foremidable midfield. KT will play the holding role allowing BF, Mendes and Davis to use their skill, guille and passing ability to service 2 mobile forwards. We have been, and in some respects (long periods of last weeks game) still are, a poorer side without the presence of Barry Ferguson. Cammy F

Remember folks, we have 2 GersNet flags that belong to everyone who uses the forum and are open to anyone who wants to take these banners and display in their section of Ibrox, or indeed to any away games. I currently have the GersNet1 banner (flags all stitched together) which I think I'll take along to the Ulster Day on Sunday and Del has GersNetII (blue, white and red 'tri-colour'). Anyone wanting these banners, give us a shout and we'll arrange something. Cammy F

Well, well, well, I don't think the MOPES expected this type of response from football fans in Scotland - a quick search of rival teams web forums has seen a huge level of abuse directed at the MOPES and their continual offendedness - an interesting read : http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?t=467485 Cammy F - The Singing Is Over, Now Were Laughing at You Loyal RSC

The only issue I have with the otherwise excellent and positive statement from the club, via Mr Bain, is what the club are doing to highlight the onesided reporting of offensive songs? This is where we the fans and the club are failling, we are not exposing the sectarian, racist and offensive songs that are sung the length and breadth of the country on a weekly basis. Until we do, we will be seen as Scotlands problem, a statement that is as rediculous as it is false. WE MUST RE-DRESS THE BALLANCE Cammy F
-
Quite clearly, it is just OUR songs - as stated above, the MOPES were at their IRA loving best on Saturday yet not a peep on the radio, TV, or even a single line in the printed media. Even at our game on Saturday, the Killie fans indulged in 2 sectarian songs - No Huns In Europe and Go Home Ya Huns - again, not a peep in the media. Sectarianism in Scotland is a one way street. Cammy F
-
Yes - agreed. However, the MOPES have also changed, and have cottened on to the fact that the establishment is very much pro them and anti us. This has given them a free reign to attack us at every opportunity and to have a media that is far to easily coerrsed (sp) into taking up and promoting their 'offendedness'. What can we do? Nothing, we need our club to help us here. That is a scarey thought as Rangers won't do a thing to support us. In fact, Rangers would be more than willing to help the MOPES rather than help us. Cammy F
-
and ironically the MOPES sing an IRA song called 'let the people sing'.... BTW, you're not likely to hear any condemnation of that, or any other IRA, political or sectarian song the MOPES sing - the reason? Well, the people running our club are spineless b@stards and our fanbase prefer to sit back and moan about our songs, heritage and culture being attacked, rather than take action against those who are attacking us. PS - a quick search on YOUTUBE will gain you videos of many IRA and sectarian songs belted out by the MOPES at Fir Park on Saturday. Cammy F

Rangers v Kilmarnock - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Mendes for me - closely followed by Davis (2nd half in particular), Broadfoot and Kenny Miller. Cammy F -
So after ââ?¬Ë?international weekââ?¬â?¢, the bears are back in SPL action on Saturday when we host Kilmarnock in what is a ââ?¬Ë?top of the table clashââ?¬â?¢. I hope that the break for the internationals hasnââ?¬â?¢t impacted on the momentum that we should have gained from the wonderful performance and result at the Towers last Sunday. That performance should be the benchmark for all our performances this season, that performance shouldnââ?¬â?¢t be a ââ?¬Ë?one-offââ?¬â?¢, but the standard that we must achieve on a weekly basis starting against Kilmarnock. The forthcoming home games against Killie and Motherwell are now as, if not, more important that the OF game. We need to continue to improve on the pitch and MUST secure 6 points from these two awkward home games. If we succeed in this, we can put more pressure on Celtc who will still be smarting from the comprehensive defeat dished out by The Rangers. As well as starting to look for consistency in performance, I hope that (injuries, suspensions and loopholes in contracts permitting) that the management team can now look for consistency in selection. I have to admit that the loss of Cousin is a blow as when he was ââ?¬Ë?switched onââ?¬â?¢ he was by far the best forward we had on our books. However, that ship has sailed and WS and his team require to decide on what pairing they think will be best for Rangers. I can see them plumping for Miller and A.N.Other. We have the strongest midfield at our disposal than we have had for a long time. Davis, Mendes, Thomson, Edu, Beasley, Aaron, Novo (although, Iââ?¬â?¢d like to see Nacho given a run through the middle), Adam, Whittikar (what has happened to him?) et al. Our defence also has a solid look about it, but I believe weââ?¬â?¢ll be without Davie Weir for a few weeks due to injury. That will see Kirk Broadfoot moving to centre-half to partner Bougherra (although, Edu could play there). So after the shock and disappointment of losing out in the CL qualifiers, the management team and the players have to set their sights on the SPL title and channel all there energy into consistently turning in scintillating performances akin to the latest humbling of the hoops. Cammy F

You should read what he says about the hooped horrors in his book Cammy F

Quite funny - however, Kirk has a fantastic response to those who chose to mock him - He plays for The Rangers, they don't (I know which camp I'd rather be in). Cammy F - Kirk Broadfoot - One Of The Chosen Few Loyal RSC

I have no issues with this proposed 'ulster day' - however, I would prefer to see Rangers fans have an 'armed forces day' where we celebrate the men and woman who protect and serve. This would also remember the forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that our liberties were protected. This would be a timely gesture as in certain cities in the UK, people serving in the forces get abused whilst walking down the street in their uniforms. Cammy F

Simple Pleasures As you get older, and hopefully wiser, you learn to enjoy the simple pleasures that life throws you way more than you did when you were a sprightly youth. This may be down to simple maturity, or the fact that at my age, simple pleasures are seen as the little breaks life grants you in the face of accelerating to middle age and beyond. These simple pleasures range from hearing a song on the radio (or it suddenly popping on your IPOD set to shuffle) that never fails to put a smile on you face and a spring in your step (such as Brothers In Rhythm ââ?¬â?? Such A Good Feeling - ). Or watching reruns of The Simpsons on SKY1 and suddenly stumbling across an episode that you havenââ?¬â?¢t seen. It can even be scanning your bookshelves for a new book to read, for your eyes to lock onto a book youââ?¬â?¢ve had there for months and havenââ?¬â?¢t picked up. You decide to give it a read and find out itââ?¬â?¢s one of the best books youââ?¬â?¢ve read in years (Atonement). However, the simplest and most pleasurable is undoubtedly watching your team roll into the home of your bitterest rivals and give them the doings of doings. Yesterday was enjoyable for so many reasons ââ?¬â?? witnessing Rangers steamroller Celtc, witnessing Rangers playing fantastic football and transferring possession and pressure into goals, witnessing Arthur Borat imploding again (more of this clown later) and witnessing one of the finest displays from your team in a long, long time. From the opening OF gambits until the final whistle, our charges ran the show at Parkhead. We had a stranglehold of the midfield, our defence was on top and our strikers were causing their defence all sorts of problems. Our goals were all a joy to behold, Cousin battering their back four for 37 minutes (softening them up) and then bursting clear of the faltering Wilson and firing beyond The Clown. Then after a rare mistake from Sasa Papac let them temperately back into the game, Kenny Miller rammed home an exquisite volley that left The Clown grasping at fresh air. However, this was nothing compared to the ferocity and velocity of Pedro Mendes strike. As Andy Gray would say, Take A Bow Sonââ?¬Â¦.. Kenny Miller then walked home number four after The Clown fumbled the ball 6 yards from his own goal (oh how we laughed). Cousin and Miller looked a very decent partnership and Cousin gave the type of performance that have convinced some Rangers fans that he is the best striker (ability wise) currently at our club. It looks like Cousin will leave before tonightââ?¬â?¢s transfer window closes, so if yesterday was is departing gift, what a gift it was. There were no failures in blue on the day and I have to say that Cousin was very harshly treated ââ?¬â?? both incidents that lead to his cards were 50/50 at worst. I have heard the media claiming that the referee had a decent game, I disagree. As stated above, Cousin was very unlucky to be red-carded. No one has mentioned the decision to give Nakamura a free-kick in the dying seconds when he clearly fell over the ball. OK, it didnââ?¬â?¢t alter the final outcome, but what if the scores were 1-1 when the incident happened? The only disappointment from yesterday is the fact that there are no SPL games this coming weekend. We are on a massive high and it would have been brilliant to carry on the momentum gained from this impressive display / win at Parkhead. Canââ?¬â?¢t finish this article on a ââ?¬Ë?down beat noteââ?¬â?¢ so Iââ?¬â?¢ll end with a huge pat on the back to the Rangers support who were outstanding yesterday. Hotshot Hamish Readers of my age will remember reading tales of gentle giant Hebridian Hamish Balfour in Scorcher then Tiger (http://hamishmac.blogspot.com/) who reportedly had the hardest shot in football. When we signed Jorg Albertz and we started to witness Albertz now legendary left foot, I always used to think back and relating Jorg to Hotshot Hamish. I didnââ?¬â?¢t think we would ever replace Albertz notorious goal scoring ability from distance, but after watching in delight at Pedro Mendesââ?¬â?¢ opening Rangers goal yesterday, we may just have someone who can match Jorg Albertz in the ââ?¬Ë?arse-hole winderââ?¬â?¢ stakes. We havenââ?¬â?¢t had a regular threat from distance since Albertz left so hopefully Pedro can take up the mantle and hopefully yesterdays sidewinder is the first of many strikes from our new ââ?¬Ë?Hammerââ?¬â?¢. Send In The Clowns Well, well, well, another OF game and another Arthur Borat controversy. The bold Arthur decided to give the massed Bears the middle finger after he gifted us our forth goal. As a thanks for this generous gift, we decided to sing his praises, cheer his every touch and generally rub his nose in it. What thanks do we get? The latest in a long line of rude gestures from the not so holly goalie. I read today that is latest intercession has been reported to the authorities, but I fear that this, along with the majority of his other antics will be swept under the (now bulging) SFA / SPL carpet. After all, his fellow clown Neil Lennon was allowed to do this sort of thing at ever OF game and that includes being caught shouting sectarian abuse at the Rangers fans and bench. The not so holly goalie does have his troubles to seek on and off the pitch at the moment. Itââ?¬â?¢s not nice to kick a man when heââ?¬â?¢s down, but hey ââ?¬â?? Get It Right Round You Boratââ?¬Â¦.. I believe so. Also, I believe that was also the last game where a Celtc player was red-carded (as was Rod Wallace IIRC). Coincidence? Cammy F

A Rangers supporting friend of mine works at Alexander Coach Builders in Camelon and they received a visit from SDM earlier this week. SDM has shares in this concern and was apparently appalled to learn that there had been a mass strike a few weeks ago. The rumour has it that SDMââ?¬â?¢s reaction to hearing about the strike (over sick pay, or the loss of it to be precise) was to ââ?¬Ë?sack the bastardsââ?¬â?¢. Anyway, he thought that a wee visit to site would inspire (or strike fear) into the workers and he duly arrived for his visit. He was driven around the large manufacturing facility in a golf buggy. The driver (whoââ?¬â?¢s name and football leanings are not know at this point) promptly drove the buggy into some scaffolding. Then, to make matters worse, he then got the buggy stuck between some bins. My friend onsite claimed SMD was ââ?¬Ë?fooking ragingââ?¬â?¢. There is no truth in the rumour that the driver was attempting to carry out a ââ?¬Ë?contractââ?¬â?¢ on behalf of the ââ?¬Ë?anti-murrayââ?¬â?¢ brigadeââ?¬Â¦.ââ?¬Â! Cammy F

Our fÃ?®iends from the East End like to portray themselves as the victimised team in Scotland when it comes to officials and governing bodies making ridiculous and incorrect decisions. So much so, they like to regale us with their yawn inducing chant ââ?¬Ë?whoââ?¬â?¢s the Mason in the blackââ?¬â?¢. Given the recent run of decisions against us and benefiting ââ?¬Ë?themââ?¬â?¢, is it time to challenge this with a blast of ââ?¬Ë?Whereââ?¬â?¢s The Masonââ?¬â?¢s In The Blackââ?¬â?¢? It certainly appears that the referees and their assistants have handed in their ââ?¬Ë?pinnies and penniesââ?¬â?¢ and taken to mass as of a Sunday. Now, before going any further, I have to say here and now, I, like the majority of Rangers supporters do not expect favouritism from the referees. All we ask is for parity. When you look at the way Celtic as a club, from the boardroom, via the manager/players etc and finally through their fans, have attacked officials, itââ?¬â?¢s hardly surprising that they get they benefit of some very favourable decisions. In fact, it was dreadful refereeing (coupled with our inability to win away games) at the tail end of last season that enabled them to get back into the SPL race and win the title on the last day of the season. Just ask Hugh Dallas how it feels to be on the receiving end of the wrath of the Tims. The bold Shug had his house (and family) attacked after the Celtc Shame Game, and lets not forget that he was struck on the head with coins during the game and at least 3 Celtc fans attempted to attack Hugh on the field of play. Hughââ?¬â?¢s crime? Officiating a game fairly and evenly. The person (sic) who attacked Hugh Dallasââ?¬â?¢ home after the above game can still be found wandering the corporate lounges at Parkhead. Yes, thatââ?¬â?¢s correct, the guy who was found guilty in a court of law didnââ?¬â?¢t receive a lifetime ban for his crimes. Lets not forget that the fan who injured Fernando Ricksen still hasnââ?¬â?¢t been identified or banned from the Cesspit. So given the Celtcââ?¬â?¢s board (or the SPL / SFA for that matter) reluctance to impose the proper penalties for fans who attack officials, can you really blame the unbalanced Tims for continuing their attacks on officials? Donââ?¬â?¢t forget that these attacks are not consigned to internet chat forums, these attacks are real and the officials and their families are attacked going about their daily business. The rabid Tims are helped in their quest by their lapdogs in the media, more commonly known as ââ?¬Ë?TWATSââ?¬â?¢ (Tims With Typewriters). They play down, or worse, donââ?¬â?¢t report these attacks, the publication of officials home addresses on forums, or deflect the blame to the ââ?¬Ë?Old Firmââ?¬â?¢, rather than laying the blame where is belongs, on the door step of Parkhead. So am I advocating a similar approach? Off course not, but sometimes you have to wonder if this is the only way to achieve parity on the field of play. Lets face facts here, we all know that if there is a controversial decision made on Sunday at Parkhead, itââ?¬â?¢ll favour them as apposed to us. Iââ?¬â?¢ll finish this with 2 quick questions: 1/ When was the last time a Celtc player was red-carded during an OF game at Park head and 2/ When was the last time Rangers were awarded a penalty during an OF game at Parkhead? I am not happy that we currently have a section of fans who feel the need to protest - this shows you that our club isn't being run properly. Do I agree with the protestors, or agree that they have the right to express their feelings regarding the way OUR club is being run both on and off the pitch - off course I do. Cammy F

But under DA, we had very attacking full-backs that made up for the lack of width in the midfield We are certainly loading up with (excellent) options in midfield but we can't continue to play 4 centre-backs in the back four - we require fullbacks! Cammy F
