Should Morelos return to the starting line up on Wednesday?
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Depends on what Alfredos attitude has been since Saturday. If he has apologised for being late, has knuckled down in training and showed an appetite for the game then yes. If he hasn't I'd drop him from the squad again. -
As do the coin throwers, they should be identified and banned for life. I've (like 1000s of others) followed Rangers home and away since 1983. I've witnessed defeats on par and much worse than yesterday whilst drunk, having a few beers and stone cold sober. I've never, repeat never felt the need to throw coins (or any other objects). Find them and ban them.

100% agree

We are a club built on discipline and principles. I wouldn't have cared of leaving Alfie out tonight meant we had to play with 10 men, it was the right call. AM needs to learn, it's all about Rangers FC not himself. Think back, what would have Walter Smith done? What would Graeme Souness have done? What would Jock Wallace have done? Missing one game would have been the least they would have imposed.
-
Not dealing with it now would have led to calls of SG being weak and having favourites. Players know the rules, the club were good enough to give AM time off, least he could have done was repay this with coming back on time.
-
Sorry but it was the right call on Alfredo. His discipline is shocking and to turn up late after given time off is latest in long line of him letting us done. Manager was left wirh no other option and I'll back him to the hilt on that. For the 2nd game in a row at Tynecastle, Naismyth is completely bossed the game. He is finished as a player but I'd love 11 players with his fight, drive and determination in our team. Made our Captain look like a Girl Guide (no disrespect to Girl Guides).

Woeful, gutless, spineless, clueless.
-
Poor performance so far - midfield posted missing thus leaving defence exposed.
-
Discipline issue - reported back late from time off in Columbia. That's cleared it up so let's move on and win this game
-
Toughest draw possible in my opinion and we'll need to be at our very best to progress.

To put this result and achievement into perspective, 7 years ago tonight I witnessed Rangers being held 1-1 away to Stirling Albion.... 1st team to get to the last 16 of Europa League after coming through the qualifying rounds.... -

Outstanding performance and result. Last 16 of Europa League- what an achievement given a couple of years ago we got humiliated by Progress. -

Weebluedevil - good post, makes sense, but just my opinion that we need some experience to 'steady the ship'. It's strange as when we are good, we are very good and look capable of beating anyone. However when we drop even a slight level, we look like we've never seen a football before. 100% behind SG as we need stability and SG has shown improvement especially in Europe. It's also worth remembering that 6 years ago today, we draw 3-3 with Stenhousemuir at Ibrox..... -

Dare I say that SG could be doing with an experienced coach/manager at his side for 6-12 months? Would SG feel that this type of move would "undermine" him? Could SG improve with an auld heid sat next to him during games? I fully support the manager, I think he can take us places, maybe he could be doing with a helping / guiding hand? -

Schoolboy defending cost us a win today and not for the first time after the winter break. Tav has regressed again and looks really short of confidence in anything he does - prime example is the easy chance at 1-1 that he squandered. Alfredo looks like a little boy lost since the break and maybe off-field issues getting to him. Most worryingly is the total capitulation of the team since we destroyed Celtic at end of December. Back to the drawing board for our manager, his staff and the players. -

Hard to split Aribo and Hagi but thought Aribo played in 3 positions and his goal was amazing piece of skill

Wow - what an unlikely come back against one of the better teams we've faced this season. Hopefully reignite our season now. -
Yeah, and like your supermarket rewards card, you'll get more points for purchasing more products and services direct from the club. As you say, and like most plans, they'll be positives and negatives

Our RSC were present at the meeting today (there is another meeting tomorrow evening) and feedback we've been given is exactly as above (so pointless post to be honest) ?
-
For those up to speed with what is happening with our brand / kits / boycotts etc, what does this mean? The end of SD and Ashley? The end of Hummel (who I thought were a decent partner - apart from stock)? Are we still OK to use the store at St Enochs? Not up to speed with the off-field side of things now!

Portugal leaders rally around racially abused soccer player

Just shows you what a racist backwater Scotland has turned into. Shocking the lack of support Alfredo has received from football and society out with the Rangers family. -

Half chance in 1rst half when ball broke to him on 6 yard line - got a good connection on it but it got the on-rushing keeper. He did take his "goal" well and he was yards onside. -

Once again officials mistakes aplenty ; Kamberi looked miles onside at the disallowed goal. Like to see Alfredos disallowed goal again as he looked to come from behind a defender. Straight red card for the tackle on Goldson. Guy Lawson lucky not to get a second yellow for tackle on Davis. Ref did well to let play go but should have booked him when we got a corner. Decent win in terrible conditions with Arfield and Halliday the standouts for me
