  1. I had that photo on my bedroom wall in my youth and that was my 1st Rangers kit. If any photo encapsulates what a Ranger is (or should be) and what Rangers are (or should be), its this one.
  2. Started off with the usual soundbites which is fine, you wouldn't expect anything else (fans, tradition, goosebumps etc). Like his use of the phrase "cautiously optimistic" when it came to recent performances. Willing to engage with the fans is also a positive, then back to the closing soundbites (again, nothing overly concerning there). He has a tough task ahead of him and his handling and how tenacious he is seeking an explanation and reasoning behind Sunday's non-penalty will go a long way in showing us if he really us up for the massive challenges that await him. Best of British.
  3. I'm undecided whether to be a sulking fan or a real supporter. It'll depend how damaged my ears and limbs are after The Exploited gig on Friday night.
  4. Or its made by Umbro and distributed by Castore. I'll endeavour to find out from someone I know in the retail department.
  5. It sure is, be interesting to see what the attendance is on Saturday. Not the "published" attendance but the actual "bums on seats" attendance. Think Sunday will have knocked the stuffing out of a lot of fans.
  6. You it was definitely a penalty when even Tom English admits it was. https://x.com/TEnglishSport/status/1868676278972518483?t=maYSvvp9hasLvr8NR5q17A&s=08
  7. Wonder if he'll let is know what response (if any) he receives.
  8. Seen a few people mention this. I can't remember it at the game, but I did see Propper having a go at Beaton after the goal. I'm still traumatised, so not watched it back!
  9. 3 games behind closed doors and hefty fine for us. Another "don't do it again" warning for them..
  10. If we are reverting to 3 at the back, we need to sign 1, if not 2 centre backs. Balogun is fine but nearing end of his career, Propper has improved over last 2 games but I'm unconvinced and Souttar is fine when fit (we don't know how long he'll be missing). Ridvan shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11 and Cerny or Matondo aren't "wing-backs". But agree that we should at least attempt to play 2 strikers in some domestic games.
  11. The rules state that as long as he is stationary it is not classed as encroachment. Don't know if he "moves" so hard to make a judgement.
  12. I think he just took the easy option and passed to Bajrami when he could have slid in Cerny (it's not a difficult pass as he photo above shows). However it's over and done with and we have to move on.
  13. Why did Igamane chose to pass to Cerny here? Every time I see this it gets worse.
  14. Agreed, it was a hard call for Beaton to make in real time as Cerny falls out of the box when pulled over. VAR have no excuse for missing this as one look at the still and the replay clearly shows its a penalty. There is no debate or uncertainty, it's a penalty. As for the extremist fringe of their support, you are 100% correct. I'd say it isn't just the extremist element who will participate in intimidation.
  15. With so many ex-referees now posting their thoughts on social media immediately after games, I'd employ one of them and get them posting via our social media platforms highlighting these clear and obvious errors / honest mistakes.
  16. See what happens when you put pressure on them? They are terrified to give us a decision. The "Penalty to Rangers" campaign has also worked a treat. 1 penalty awarded domestically this season. However, there are still Rangers fans happy for us to ignore this (one on here but I think he's a troll more than a fan) and continue to watch us cheated week in, week out. The silence from the board shows they appear to be willing to ignore this. Let that sink in.......
  17. Any of our elder statesmen care to give a view on who was better, Kevin Keegan or Kenny Dalglish? Personally, I mostly remember KD from his Liverpool and Scotland days and didn't see much of Keegan as he moved to Germany. From what I do remember, Dalglish was probably the more talented but Keegan had an unbelievable desire and was more tenacious. His international career was also probably better than Dalglish. Interested in others opinions.
  18. And sometime after Cerny hits the ground. So another honest mistake that'll be swept under the (bulging) carpet. As for VAR, I think we all know why it didn't intervene.
  19. As you say, the incident happened / developed that quickly, it's hard to imagine Bearon blew for a foul before Cerny was in the box. I'm sure we'll get the audio to clear things up. If Beaton has blown then it's an error on him, as you are meant to allow play to develop and then make your decision. Also, I don't know why he'd have blown before Cerny has his shirt/shorts pulled. The video clips show Cerny was in the box when this initiated, then fell out of the box. In my opinion that's why Beaton gave a free-kick and not a penalty (understandably).
  20. Here's the exact moment we lost the cup final in my opinion.
  21. Agree, as long as it's not that one who sent Jefte off in the CL qualifier 😀
  22. Not posted in here for a while, but loving the thread. Here's a couple - 3 fantastic Dutch / AC Milan players and some great players on the 1979 Ballon D'Or rankings.
  23. Also, a perfectly good goal chopped off in last seasons SCF when VAR couldn't wait to get involved.
  24. Here is IFAB rule 12 ; "If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick."
  25. This clip also shows that the pull started when Cerny's foot is in the box, he then falls out of the box. https://x.com/TrongateTramps/status/1868354188952088593?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1868354188952088593|twgr^2feba0d47a7f5406b51ce38909e7bd251199feb2|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.followfollow.com%2Fforum%2Fthreads%2Fbobby-madden-it-was-a-penalty.288339%2F
