  1. So quite hard to determine as twice as many games with Dessers. Is this games where Dessers started? Came on as a sub? Or both? Worth noting, we got to the final of the league cup, Dessers played (and scored IIRC) in every round with the exception of the final. We must be the only fans who'll talk down having the leagues top scorer (in past 12 months). If only we had another 2 or 3 players on that list, we'd be far more competitive.
  2. Wasn't the Igamane fee circa £2M depending in add-ons?
  3. I didn't realise that the panel were allowed to set add-ons and sell on clause. Has there been any other cases where they have? Seems "weird" that the figures above are close to both what Rangers offered (£500K against immediate fee of (£640K) and what Aberdeen were looking for (circa £1M against circa £900K with add-ons plus 10% of what he is sold for).
  4. Interesting, what's the points per game with and without Dessers?
  5. That's exactly what it is. Dessers isn't the main issue. Dessers being the only player who scores regularly is the main issue.
  6. Avoid stress? We're Rangers fans ffs.......😀
  7. So we accept and excuse failure? The board's wet dream.
  8. Alex McDonald scored 94 goals in 503 appearances. My memory I'd that he scored hugely important goals (cup finals, Europe etc). If young Barron can develop into even half the player Doddie was, we'll have won a watch.
  9. Fearing an absolute battering tomorrow. If there was a good time to have a very bad eye infection, it's now. Spent most of yesterday evening in eye hospital getting drops and injections in my eye to stop the infection / inflammation. Now on a 6 week course of drops so probably giving the game a miss tomorrow and most likely not bother watching. The pain in eye is pain enough! Struggling to pick a team that will stop their attacking threat, stop their midfield from dominating and getting sufficient chances to score. Clement must sleep easy tonight knowing no matter what happens tomorrow, he'll still be employed on Friday.
  10. Phil Clement
  11. We can't afford failure full stop. Clement is failing spectacularly (domestically) and we continue to make excuses for not replacing him. If we don't replace him, there is little / no evidence to suggest he is going to be a success. Whilst we dither, we fall further behind, he buys more players not suited to Scottish football and we'll be having the same discussions forever and a day.
  12. Bring him home....... Windass scores from inside his own half as Sheffield Wednesday lead Derby 4-1
  13. He can and probably does have modern ideas on the implementation of a recruitment model, but will he be allowed to implement it? 100% agree, we do need a DoF but we need to ensure that these high profile, well paid individuals are given scope to run the club. Oh, and we need a new manager most of all.
  14. Really? Why do you say that? Don't think he's been ongoing enough to judge.
  15. It isn't but ignoring a potential upgrade in the managerial department is no way to run a modern football club either. As an aside, who at our club knows anything about running a modern football club anyway.
  16. I'm not. Clement needs to be replaced, who replaces him is open to debate and is for other to decide. I said previously its a simple question, would Moyes be a better man for the job than Clement. I think it's a definite yes. It's immaterial as it isn't going to happen. We're stuck with Clement and those who make the decisions are not going to doing anything as outlandish as sounding out a manager who is, by his own admission, looking for work. I wonder if Muscat is sitting by his phone waiting forlornly on us contacting him.
  17. A dinosaur v a loser, know who I'd prefer.
  18. Our current circumstances are as close as you'll get to the failure of PLG and we require the same tonic. The continued knocking of potential alternatives to a manager who has taken us backwards is staggering. Instead of looking at possibilities to replace him, we're excusing his horrific record (not to mention playing style) and trying to convince ourselves that Clement will somehow magically turn this around with little or no evidence to stand behind. I suppose the old saying is true, we get what we deserve.
  19. He will know the league, he's Scottish, he's faced Scottish clubs and he'll know people in the game. Again, we are overthinking things. The only real question is would Moyes be a better Rangers manager than Clement. I think the answer is a definite yes.
  20. Said the same, but if we are serious at running a football club that has even the slightest ambitions we must be asking him the question. If he says no, then fine. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  21. Any manager with an ounce of knowledge of the Scottish / British game will know of defenders who'll not cost the earth. Walter Smith done it with Davie Weir and Ugo Ehiogu. I think Moyes will take what is on offer. He said in the interview I posted that he doesn't want another "relegation battle". He's not getting a top job in the EPL. As I said, I don't think we'll get him, but if we aren't sounding him out, the board (new CEO) are not doing their jobs.
