The Rangers Winter 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread
CammyF replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Jeez, read the room Compo - you'll be on some folks ignore list. I'm assuming you'll be as worried about that as I am 😀 I don't think he'll get sacked this season no matter how bad our results become. If the board were going to sack him they'd have sacked him by now. We're stuck work him for at least another 12 months in my opinion and be having the same discussions then as we are now. I've just looked at the fixture list and due to other commitments I can't make the next few home games, so made the decision that I'll not be back at Ibrox this season and 99% sure I won't renew unless he's removed. -
So what happens if we get a clean sweep? Do we stop having MOTM threads / votes? An amnesty for all posters on the "naughty list"? We have to do something special to celebrate 🥳

Ryan Porteous rumoured with Dowell going in the opposite direction. I know we'd do almost anything to move Dowell on, but........😀 -

So Dundee away up next (dread) but it's Thursday night (confidence). A win will have us all back on board with the Clement rebuild. More dropped points will have us all on board with the Clement rebuild........ we can't be criticising the manager. -
Oh, but I'm meant to have all the answers 😉

They should be, but I'm doubting we'll get suitable offers (currently). Dio cost what, £4.5M? so we'd need an offer of circa £9M to make it attractive? Jefte was just over a million but whilst he's secured the LB berth, think it'll take a couple of years for him to read sellable potential (which is fine).

Where have I said I want to sell to "anyone". I haven't. 8n this debate, I wish people would stop misrepresenting what I am saying. We have two options - stick with the current board / shareholders who've overseen continued gross mismanagement and hope they get things under control. Attract investors/shareholders who will run the business successfully. Both have risks associated with them but the current incumbents hardly fill me with confidence. -
Never said it was, but when will the spiral stop? Other than cutting wages, how else are they going to cut costs?
-
Their wage bill was less than ours.
-
Well run club, cash rich, a player trading model that works. They can afford this "success rate" and "outlay".

Josh Windas to Santos for £10M - wonder if we have a sell-on clause? -
Yes, but they are still losing money - they've just had to "invest" another £8M to see us to the end of the season. They don't appear capable of stopping the spiral.

Comparing what happened with Murray / Green / Whyte is completely different from what I'm suggesting and I think you know that. Sir Duped knew exactly what he was doing selling to Whyte. For everyone suggesting that I'm wrong in wanting new shareholders/board/investment not one has shown how the current incumbents are going to get us out of the mess they got us into. That's very telling. -
They have been, but so has debt / spending, that's one of my points.

Well I can't find them can I. We'll just wait around for new shareholders to appear out of thin air. Meanwhile the current crop will run us into the ground. -
So some fans will complain? They are going to have to make tough decisions but decisions that will generate much needed income will be welcomed by the majority of fans. No? They are fans and I'll be bold enough to say that this is part of their problem. They need to detach themselves from the emotion of being fans. Decisions need to be made with financial heads on, not fans heads.
-
So you can't see simplistic ideas like selling the naming rites to Ibrox happening? My desire is for the board to hand over thre running of the club to people who know what they are doing. The board can do that by appointing the correct people (they don't have a good record there), they can find some external investment or they can hand the club over to new shareholders. There's 3 options from a moknhowling fan.
-
It's pointless - there are two trains of thoughts and they'll never agree. Doesn't help the posters misquote, misrepresent, and throw insults around. It's also pointless in that nobody here can influence what happens. It appears the majority of the fans think sticking with this board is all we can do, so I'll keep my thoughts on them to myself in future.

Might vote Cerny. If Igamane had scored that 1v1 then he might have got it.....
