  1. Yeah, straight from Clements mouth when he was asked a direct question regarding January transfer activity. I've been wondering the reasoning behind Clement's answer and still can't think why he would say that (hence the question).
  2. You have to wonder why Clement said in a press conference that Mr Stewart would be addressing the press regarding our Januaury transfer strategy? 1. Defelcting from his own deficiencies? 2. Been told to say that when / if asked? 3. Throwing Mr Stewart under the bus?
  3. So when is Mr Stewart going to communicate / address our January transfer strategy? Once the windown closes? 🤷‍♂️
  4. We also require a starting RB to replace Tav and left back cover for Jefte as Ridvan is unreliable. So 4 CB's, a RB and a LB. Plus a No9 and a No6. Happy Shopping Mr Koppen 😀
  5. Were Hibs the 1st Scottish / British club to play in Europe and get to semi-final of European Cup? Mid 50s?
  6. Bassey was young, raw and a project that's why I would overlook the "flaws". He was one of the few "projects" we've handled / managed correctly. Boomsong wasn't around long enough to really judge, but again, we managed that situation perfectly. Cuellar was class, but he had David Weir as a partner. His performances on the run to Manchester were 1st class (as we're Goldson / Bassey on road to EL final). We will be unable to attract players of that class unless we fall over / unearth another Bassey.
  7. Nope, not going to say what I've typed / deleted a few times. Deep breathing, deep breathing, move along Cammy, move along 😀
  8. Bassey wasn't / isn't quality? Bassey, Katic and even Goldson were far better than any CB we have at present. Now, we're they good enough for what is required? I'd say Bassey and Goldson were (Goldson just stayed too long).
  9. Kasanwirjo looked like he could / would contribute but most likely at RB. That would have helped now that Tav is injured. Sterling has shown that whilst he's a decent player, he can't be replied upon due to injuries. File alongside Ridvan. Any money we may have available this month may be best served going into investigating and fixing how we manage to pick up so many (muscle) injuries / knocks and why the rehabilitation takes so long.
  10. Now 3-1 to Rangers in closing stage- Lovelace with our 3rd goal.
  11. It's a conundrum. We get injuries regularly, but also "rest" players due to "sport science ". Are we resting the wrong players? Our rehab time seems far more excessive than other clubs (that is just my gut feeling).
  12. Rangers 2-0 up at half-time. Goals from Curtis and McClure. Webster subbed at halftime.
  13. Boooooo
  14. I believe Propper can play on Thursday, who partners him is the question.
  15. Therein lies the problem. That structure was set up to ensure no one person should have an overall controlling interest. You can understand why after the spivs and Sir Duped.
  16. The question has been asked before, but are we (Clement) too reliant on the "Sports Science" department?
  17. If my memory serves me correctly, we signed a CB from AC Milan in the summer and the signing was accompanied by a lot of pomp and ceremony. Wonder what's happened to him?
  18. I wonder if anyone will be brave enough to ask what influence Ross Wilson has had in the rejuvenation of Nottingham Forest. I'm certainly not opening that can of worms........
  19. Very good article in today's Daily Mail by Hugh McDonald about the rise of Bo'ness Athletic and the work being done by Willie Irvine. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14252171/On-Road-Boness-Athletic-Haaland-worlds-apart-rate-progress-superstar-striker-ambitious-Firth-Forth-upstarts-not-dissimilar.html
  20. Said above that Dio should be on the list, but we paid £4.5M for him and I don't see us getting a bid for circa £8M for him currently. I added Butland simply because he was a "free", so even an offer of £4-5M would be good business / profit.
  21. There is also the argument that as we lower the age of the squad, an old head will be required. A calming influence. Basically another Balogun.
  22. 33 year old Chris Wood scores again for Nottingham Forest putting them 2-0 up at Wolves. Wood didn't really start scoring regularly until he signed for Leeds and Burnley. Got him a move to Newcastle where he struggled but now killing it at Forest.
  23. Been reading on another forum that Season Ticket holders in Copland Front are still unhappy with the "overhang" and their now restricted views. They are organising that those affected fill in the match feedback forms and contact the club directly. I discussed this with my father-in-law who is one of those affected and whilst he has filled out the forms and emailed the club, he's resigned to pay full price for a restricted view.
  24. I believe Evans missed 10 games last season due to 2 x injuries. He's been fully fit this season, just not getting selected. Wages may be an issue, he's a Rangers fan and I wouldn't be against a short 6 month loan. But looks like Clement has ruled it out. Porteous is a strange one. Linked with us when he was with Hibs, now linked again.
