  1. Very good article in today's Daily Mail by Hugh McDonald about the rise of Bo'ness Athletic and the work being done by Willie Irvine. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14252171/On-Road-Boness-Athletic-Haaland-worlds-apart-rate-progress-superstar-striker-ambitious-Firth-Forth-upstarts-not-dissimilar.html
  2. Said above that Dio should be on the list, but we paid £4.5M for him and I don't see us getting a bid for circa £8M for him currently. I added Butland simply because he was a "free", so even an offer of £4-5M would be good business / profit.
  3. There is also the argument that as we lower the age of the squad, an old head will be required. A calming influence. Basically another Balogun.
  4. 33 year old Chris Wood scores again for Nottingham Forest putting them 2-0 up at Wolves. Wood didn't really start scoring regularly until he signed for Leeds and Burnley. Got him a move to Newcastle where he struggled but now killing it at Forest.
  5. Been reading on another forum that Season Ticket holders in Copland Front are still unhappy with the "overhang" and their now restricted views. They are organising that those affected fill in the match feedback forms and contact the club directly. I discussed this with my father-in-law who is one of those affected and whilst he has filled out the forms and emailed the club, he's resigned to pay full price for a restricted view.
  6. I believe Evans missed 10 games last season due to 2 x injuries. He's been fully fit this season, just not getting selected. Wages may be an issue, he's a Rangers fan and I wouldn't be against a short 6 month loan. But looks like Clement has ruled it out. Porteous is a strange one. Linked with us when he was with Hibs, now linked again.
  7. Jeez, read the room Compo - you'll be on some folks ignore list. I'm assuming you'll be as worried about that as I am 😀 I don't think he'll get sacked this season no matter how bad our results become. If the board were going to sack him they'd have sacked him by now. We're stuck work him for at least another 12 months in my opinion and be having the same discussions then as we are now. I've just looked at the fixture list and due to other commitments I can't make the next few home games, so made the decision that I'll not be back at Ibrox this season and 99% sure I won't renew unless he's removed.
  8. So what happens if we get a clean sweep? Do we stop having MOTM threads / votes? An amnesty for all posters on the "naughty list"? We have to do something special to celebrate 🥳
  9. Ryan Porteous rumoured with Dowell going in the opposite direction. I know we'd do almost anything to move Dowell on, but........😀
  10. Take a chill pill, or grab a can from the fridge. Oh, you'll not see it - bet you take a wee peak tho .. 😀
  11. I didn't "represent" anyone, so your the one misrepresenting.
  12. So Dundee away up next (dread) but it's Thursday night (confidence). A win will have us all back on board with the Clement rebuild. More dropped points will have us all on board with the Clement rebuild........ we can't be criticising the manager.
  13. Oh, but I'm meant to have all the answers 😉
  14. They should be, but I'm doubting we'll get suitable offers (currently). Dio cost what, £4.5M? so we'd need an offer of circa £9M to make it attractive? Jefte was just over a million but whilst he's secured the LB berth, think it'll take a couple of years for him to read sellable potential (which is fine).
  15. Pity. Need all they money we can get
  16. I'm guessing Raskin, Butland and Igname?
  17. Where have I said I want to sell to "anyone". I haven't. 8n this debate, I wish people would stop misrepresenting what I am saying. We have two options - stick with the current board / shareholders who've overseen continued gross mismanagement and hope they get things under control. Attract investors/shareholders who will run the business successfully. Both have risks associated with them but the current incumbents hardly fill me with confidence.
  18. Never said it was, but when will the spiral stop? Other than cutting wages, how else are they going to cut costs?
  19. Their wage bill was less than ours.
  20. Well run club, cash rich, a player trading model that works. They can afford this "success rate" and "outlay".
  21. Josh Windas to Santos for £10M - wonder if we have a sell-on clause?
  22. Yes, but they are still losing money - they've just had to "invest" another £8M to see us to the end of the season. They don't appear capable of stopping the spiral.
