  1. This 100% - best post on this entire thread.
  2. The Blue Order never really made statements from memory. It is also worth remembering that TBO never had the numbers that The Union Bears have and were never as organised. I can think of one when Rangers sent the entire group letters about standing during games. The gist was if the standing continued, the club would ban the group. After one midweek game against DUFC (if I remember correctly) several members of the group received letters informing them they were banned from the next home match. Now, some of those banned weren't at the DUFC game, so it was obvious that the club had just selected random seats / people and banned them (not the entire group). So at the next game, those who "ran" TBO spoke to people in the group and said they would release a statement saying the above. The UBs are far more organised, they travel to away games, meet up and walk to the ground together. They also have / part of The Copland Collective which is used to get support and membership for the group. I would assume they talked about this statement whilst travelling back from Dundee and into Friday. Probably doesn't necessarily mean all members of UB agree, but shows another group of fans displeasure. The Union Bears will always split the support but having been part of The Blue Order (which was "older" fans wanting to bring back old Rangers songs) and witnessed first hand the "hostility" we faced from the club and fellow fans, I tend to cut them some slack. I thought their statement was a little "scatter-gun" as it mentioned manager, senior players and board, but I couldn't really disagree with anything they said. It's interesting that since Thursday night, the travelling fans at full-time, the RSA, fan media (who pay a lot of money to get access to players, managers press conferences) and now UBs have all made "statements" saying its time up. David Edgar reiterated this last night. Whilst they don't speak for the entire fanbase (nobody does), those mentioned above are a fairly good gauge of what the general support are thinking.
  3. Ah, the infamous succession planning. It'll be Derek McInnes or they'll stick with Clement.
  4. From The Sun so worth taking this with a pinch of salt. Not seeing it reported anywhere else as yet.
  5. A telling two lines from Kris Boyd's latest article which is hard to disagree with, but this part is telling ; "Rangers don’t make things happen. They HOPE something will happen." Same with some fans it would seem.
  6. They're fans groups, any of their potaential "solutions" are meritless. They have no say in any "solutions" If we want to believe that those groups, who, along with others, plough millions in to the club are merely "arm waving", then we are playing a dangerous game.
  7. David Moyes back to Everton - another potential manager out of the equation 😀
  8. So since the final whistle last night, we've had the travelling support advocating his dismissal, we've had fan media advocate his dismissal, we've had The RSA advocate his dismissal, now we have The Union Bears add their voice to these calls. Whilst there is no definitive way to gauge the feelings of the entire support, that's most, if not all, the big hitters wanting him gone.
  9. He was also very unlucky with the shot off the bar near the end.
  10. As @Rousseau said, this isn't about rinse and repeat, it's about a manager / coach who'll get better out of the players at their disposal. Is Clement getting the best out of them? The answer is a resounding no. Has he had sufficient time to get better out them, in my opinion, the answer is yes. We are regressing rather than improving. The biggest single source of income is from the fans (outwith player trading if we every get that right - season tickets, merchandise, match day experience, hospitality etc), and the only tool the fans have to show their displeasure or force change is to withhold their hard earned cash. If the board want to gamble that the fans will continue to blindly show loyalty, then good luck to them. As @compo says, the majority of fans just want a winning team on the pitch. End of story. No matter who publically tells them thats not posssible, rightly or wrongly, they don't care. Sunday will be interesting - the official attendance will be +40K, but bums on seats will be a lot less than that. Results continue to worsen so will attendances which will have an impact on income. Come ST renewals, depending on what transpires between now and March / April time, it could turn out to be catastrophic for the board. They'll just have to rely on the 10000 ST waiting list.
  11. Just got notification that Rangers are advertising a managers role on their socials. Got very excited, but turns out its a Marketing Manager. Acht well.....
  12. He did have a pop at Igamane in his post match comments. To be fair to Clement, it's not the 1st time he's singled player(s) out. Not saying it's right, just saying he's done it before.
  13. But they are connected. If an argument for keeping him is we can't afford to sack him, there is validity in asking why we can't afford to sack him. One of the reasons is his extended contract. Inexplicably linked.
  14. I wonder if Dessers wages are close to his underperforming managers wages?
  15. The question that needs answered is why did we give him (and assuming his staff) an improved / longer contract? More madness from the board.
  16. Can't say this enough, his domestic away record is indefensible and inexcusable. Yet its being defended and excused.
  17. Yeah he appears "unsackable" at the moment, and still has some fans backing him.
  18. I get all the rebuild talk, but its the distance we are behind that is most worrying. Our away for is that of a bottom 6 club (at best) with no signs of it improving. For those accepting reality of being 2nd best, is the distance not a concern? We are closer to the bottom 6 than we are to Celtic. Can a new manager get any more out of these players? We'll never know until we try. His time has come and gone. I also accept he is a not the only problem we have, but again, that isn't a credible defence for the woeful performances.
  19. Really? 😀
  20. He (noneoftheabove) would be my tip for POTY.
  21. Thats as may be, but he's our top scorer and top scorer in the league in 2024. Igamane, whilst being good lately was posted missing last night and Danilo wasn't much better. As for wage thief's, you can a few others to that list, including the manager.
  22. Had an epiphany last night. Why should I, or others care what's happening at our club when it's clear nobody at the club does? I wasn't going to go back until Clement was gone, but going to go on Sunday. Toxic atmosphere, fans arguing / fighting with each other, dross off and on the pitch, wouldn't miss it for the world. They say that in football that you get what you deserve. Whilst that's not always true, it certainly is regarding Rangers at the moment.
  23. Searching for a winner and leaves our top scorer on the bench.
  24. Whilst I agree, Clement's away record is indefensible and inexcusable, with little or no evidence that it'll improve.
