  1. So, you've proven my point. Thanks.
  2. You quoted me directly - who else were you meaning if not me ?
  3. After our last shock home Scottish Cup against Hamilton, we travelled to Tynecastle to face Hearts in the league, just like we are on Sunday. That resulted in a very impressive 5-2 victory. Wonder if we can expect the same reaction on Sunday......
  4. Remember they beat us in pre-season........
  5. Craig Houston has a two part, indepth interview with David Holmes available on YouTube - well worth watching / listening to - about 2hrs in total. When I have time I'll post my memories of his stewardship.
  6. You did I never said we should sack managers every season, only the Clement should be removed. I've said previously we were too quick to sack Gio. I refuse to discuss with trolls who don't want discussion. You're good at quoting parts of the post and not in context. You're also good at asking questions but not answering. So there is little / no reason to indulge in a discussion with you. If you are happy with Clement then fine, that's your opinion and you are more than entitled to it. Those who want Celemet sacked are just as entitled to their opinion. It would benefit the discussion if you could give reasons (other than not sacking managers every season) as to why keeping Clement is a better option than removing him. I believe I've given my reasons for wanting him removed, let's hear your counter argument.
  7. Bit it's not every season though is it. Not you like you get anything wrong or misrepresent a post.
  8. The premise of your post is correct but Davie Weir isn't leaving Brighton to come and work for Rangers any time soon, if we had tried to get him a few years ago, it may have been a different story. McCann has been a failure as a coach at Falkirk and a few other lower level clubs, so shouldn't be considered in my opinion (I liked McCann as a player and he is also a decent pundit). The issue we have is that historically, we haven't had or currently got anyone at the club qualified to make footballing recruitment decisions (players and managers- the jury is still out on Koppen). We've won 3 domestic trophies in 10 years but have gotten to the business end of EL in the last 5 or 6 seasons, including a final that we should have won. Competing (which will lead to winning) in Scotland shouldn't be difficult. Beat the rest consistently then the OF games take care of themselves. Another trophy-less season and another Celtic treble and some seem to think it'll magically get better next season. Spoiler alert - unless we change the manager, it won't. If you read David Holmes book he mentions that when he joined the Rangers board it was akin to a Bowling Club Committee - sadly, he'd say the same if he was on the board at the moment. Until we rid ourselves of the amateurs like the Parks, we're only going in one direction, and it ain't forwards.
  9. I always thought that if McCoist & Hateley were fit / available to play together in all the group games we'd have qualified and won it. I'm sure Ian Durrant played up front just behind Hateley against Brugge and Hateley was harshly sent off. That was our opportunity to win the big one but as per usual things conspired against us.
  10. You're correct, it was Killie. Don't know where I got Motherwell 😀
  11. Well let's hope our lot realise before it's too late (if it isn't already too late).
  12. That's a great spot if true (and I can't be bothered checking lol). Players seem to improve then quickly regress under him, either that it's a roller coaster of consistency. Barron, Dessers, Igamane, Diomande etc.
  13. It's their mess though, not that you'd know it listening to them. There was no "big boy" that done who "ran away". 100% on them.
  14. I agree with that - that's what I mean when I say they have to do the right thing. They have shown they are incapable of running s football club. Off the field they are 100% to blame for our current financial situation. On the field they are 90% to blame for our current situation.
  15. Yesterday is the worst of me closely followed by losing at home to Motherwell that meant 10-in-a-row wouldn't happen. The Scottish Cup final loss to Hearts a few weeks later is also worth a mention. The lower league losses hurt especially at home to Annan, the 3-2 defeat at Alloa in the shity wee cup semi-final and then the defeat to Raith in the final of the same compition. The home and away defeats to Motherwell in the SPL play-offs also hurt. Too many scuddings at the hands of that lot to mention.
  16. We just brought in a new coach / assistant manager on a 3.5 year deal. Not long ago we inexplicably extended Clements contract and fan media reporting we are paying him close to £2M per year. Not bad for a clubs that's skint and "reducing wages".
  17. Current investors.
  18. Those who are loaning us the money are the ones who got us into this mess. Who should pay off these debts if not those who caused them?
  19. Well, maybe people should read it and not imply that the board are blameless. It was in direct response to a poster who said that the board weren't to blame for yesterday. Oh and you can skip / ignore posts. Context is everything.
  20. Don't care, all I want to hear is Phil Clement is out of work 😀
  21. I don't think the calls for the manager to be sacked are solely down to yesterday's performance / result. There has been plenty of evidence served up by Clement to show he isn't the manager to take us forward. We could rehash the stats of our away performances, or the capitulation in the league least season when we got ourselves a lead in the title race. We could spend hours debating his starting 11s, his substitutes and his inability to change the course of a game. Tav missed a penalty yesterday. I think we all realise this. Its not the first he's missed, but I don't think there was a fan left in the stadium who'd have wanted anyone other than Tav taking that penalty. To question his mentality after the pressure penalty kicks he's scored for us, not to mention the many winning goals and assists is just plain daft. We shouldn't need a dubious 95th minute penalty to take Queens Park into extra-time at Ibrox. Tav, like every other player who participated yesterday need to take a long hard look at themselves. As does the manager. At least Tav had the "bottle" to say so in his post match press conference, unlike his manager who blamed everything (including his "budget") bar himself.
  22. The wage bill is on the board. The consecutive wrong footballing appointments is on the board. The vanity NEH project is on the board. The crippling debt is on the board. We have 2 issues at the minute. One is the manager and the other is the board/investors. One is easy to resolve but relies on the board doing their job. The other is more difficult to resolve but again relies on the board / investors doing their job.
  23. And that's all on the board who for some reason are bullet-proof when it comes to criticism.
  24. You are correct but that was an incorrect assumption from the fans who booed. They let their blind hatred of the UBs cloud the fact that this was a joint walk out with RSA. Those who walked, UBs or not had the right to do so without being attacked by "fellow fans". It's a trend with some Rangers fans. Those who protest are to be attacked and cut adrift. "Alien Culture" is neither a reason nor an excuse.
  25. It probably wasn't a corner but we got a soft penalty in the 95th minute.
