So we won the same amount of games, lost 2 more when Dessers started and drew 2 more when Igamane started. So almost identical (2 points better off). So both John and my point stand. We score more goals when Igamane starts but don't benefit points wise. What's the split between home and away games?

I wonder what the points total is with Dessers leading the line v Igamane leading the line? I'd bet without checking is almost identical.

So how do you explain Dessers being booed onto the pitch and booed yesterday when the teams were announced? Sadly, there is a significant amount of fans (at home games) who dislike Dessers and are very vocal about it. As for your assessment regarding whether we look a better team, that's subjective. We've looked a good team when playing at home most of the season, and looked horrific away from home. Whether Igamane or Dessers leads the line, that narrative is the same. They offer different styles and as someone else said earlier, it's maybe worth giving them a run playing together. Imagine having your top 2 scorers on the pitch at the same time......

The fans did try to hound out McCoist and to a lesser extend Hateley. We all wanted a 20 goal a season striker and got one. Then some demanded a 20 goal a season striker, just not Dessers and started moving the "goal-posts" with silly statements about big games and scoring every OF game (something McCoist and Hateley failed to do). You'll, and / or he'll, never convince those who have written him off.

Of the 3 strikers we have at our disposal, he's the one who'll get the most goals and be fit to feature in games. The clamour to get rid of him is weird, we'd rather keep Danilo who isn't as prolific or available as Dessers. If Danilo remains injured, we aren't moving Dessers on as we can't finish the season with 1 fit striker after starting the season with 1 fit striker. The fee we paid for Dessers and his wages (neither his fault) put fans off him as much as the made up nonsense that he's "gash". He'll score goals (our top scorer last season and now this season thus far) and divide fans until the day he leaves.
