Just got in the car after that utter disappointment. Hate to be controversial but some of our fans have me scratching my head. There were literally thousands of empty seats about 5 minutes from the end of what was a must win game (IMO). We needed the fans to get the team over the line but some supporters would rather get a head start on everyone as opposed to supporting the team to the end. Oh well. Each to their own but it must be utterly disheartening for the players watching fans leave in their droves when the game is on a knife edge.

Thankfully not - my emotional investment in Rangers is quite enough to contend with.
We played well today. If we'd been a bit more clinical and/or had a couple of big decisions go our way, we could've won comfortably.
Improvements are required but turning our away form round can and will happen.
Agree. One thing that can't be questioned today was effort. We put a lot into the 2nd half but it just wasn't our day.

Can't believe this quote from Gio. Shows a weakness from the top of our club. Time people running our club grew set.
On Rangers' two penalty claims, Van Bronckhorst adds: "VAR will make it easier. These decisions that can be turning points, they can change the game, but there's no VAR, so end of discussion.
"What can we do? There is no VAR. Every decision that the referee will make, it cannot be overturned, so we have to respect the decision he makes."
Can't disagree with anything he's said tbh. There is no VAR at the moment so there's no point going about it. We didn't drop points because of the lack of VAR. We dropped points because we had 3 shots on target from the 29 that we had today.

Would have put on Roofe at some stage in 2nd half. He's a battler and clever with it.

Had to watch on my phone in between parental duties so what happened with blatant pull of the shirt when the player (Sakala?) was about to shoot? Was it overlooked or was it offside? Looked like stonewaller and a straight red card from what I could see?

Don't want to sound too dramatic but IMO we have 45 mins to save our league campaign. They seem determined to kick anything that moves but we need to be strong. We need another option out with floaty crosses. Their CBs are too tall and will eat that up all day.

Delighted with that team, probably the strongest we could field barring Ramsey. Getting Helander a game is a welcome bonus.
Ramsey not on bench? Did he get a knock on Thursday?

Team sheets are out. Big Helander in at CB with Bassey moving over to LB. Other than that, the same team as Thursday 👍

Plenty of bargains but use of the name 'Goldie' is most un-Struthian and quite unforgivable.
Predictive text faux pas?

It’s always tough to win an away league match immediately after an away European match. We have very little time to recover, prepare and go again while our opponent usually has all week with only us on their mind.
While Thursday will live long in the mind, we need to be right at it today as our opponent certainly will.
Not to mention how badly we played last time at Tannadice, we owe this shower a beating. Team selection is going to be very interesting, does he go with the same team again, or mix it up a bit to keep the likes of Jack for Thursday? Kamara in for Jack is one change I wouldn’t be surprised to see, but I don’t think we can afford to be too far away from full strength to get the 3 points. We simply can’t afford any more dropped points before the bheasts drop points.
I would always focus on winning the game then look ahead to Thursday after that, if you need to make changes. As much the idea of knocking out Dortmund will grab headlines and earn a wider respect, 3pts today is more important due to the potential riches attached to securing the league and lucrative CL dollars.

This is always a tough game due to the compact nature of the park but with strong winds expected, the playing field will be more level than usual. 3 pts is a must of course as we need to maintain momentum and give them something to think about later today. I would go again with the structure from Thursday as the combative axis of Jack/Lundstrum/Arfield in midfield will suit the undoubted rough and tumble nature of this fixture. C'mon Rangers. Let's keep building on recent results!
PS. A lot rests on El Buffalo's broad shoulders. Hopefully the player from Thursday turns up today.

Fantastic result and a truly outstanding performance. Brilliant to see Gio learn from the recent blip at the Stadium of Blight. Think they will score at Ibrox but I also think we will (based on their rear guard tonight)

Not expecting much but what I am hopeful of is that GVB has learned from the Celtic game. We need to set up with a less open system or we are going to get a doing.

Scrappy 2nd half. Is it just me or does Sands look very like Steven Davis in the way he addresses and passes the ball? Was getting them mixed up a lot there.

Have they forgot to pay the leccy bill? On my screen, it looks very dull indeed?

It is a plastic pitch and not a good one.
I've stated my opinion on playing Helendar and Ramsey but the management team will know better than me.
Hope this doesn't bite us on the erse

Helander returns? Is this not a plastic pitch? 🤔

3pts and a clean sheet in a tricky fixture. Hibs players guilty of a lot of pulling tonight.

I dunno mate, I can't see them dropping points, so we need to stay with them all the way. I could be wrong, but I still think it's more likely that we drop further behind. Today has given me some optimism though (we need to avoid covid and injuries and hopefully no more ridiculous Colombian call ups).
I don't see them dropping many points also so I suppose we just have to keep winning!!

Nobody deserves to be dropped after that performance. Also, the bench was crucial and all contributed when called upon.
Agree to be honest but just champin at the bit to see Ramsey play. Nice problem to have 😎

Much better. Won't get carried away by that today, it's what we needed but with 13 more games to go the question is if we can stay at that level til the 3rd of April. Then we get a chance to atone and see if we really have what it takes.
Still plenty of twists and turns before April 3rd me thinks...

Hopefully today's starting 11 came thro game unscathed as I'd start them all again on Wednesday.
Would love to see Ramsey start. Just him being on the pitch will give the whole place a lift.

I thought we were good from middle to front but some of the defending would be punished by better sides.
Morelos and Jack were terrific today.
Agree. Sometimes we over played things at the back and nearly came a cropper a few times. All in all, the reaction we wanted and needed after Wednesday. So many good performances today and to be honest it should have been 5 before half time.

Do we really need two holding midfielders?

Starting to think it's not going to be our season. In the last 3 league games we should have been out of sight but we are just not turning our dominance into wins. Oh and we're defending like clowns.
