  1. Didn't watch the game midweek but caught up with it yesterday. We were awful but I thought Aberdeen were nothing more than committed and physical. Much like Killie were in our previous defeat. Teams don't need to do much to firstly match us and then to out fight us. I'm not surprised in the slightest that Celtic hammered them. They should have done it in their previous meeting by all accounts.
  2. 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 for me. As has been said before, our strikers don't function in the single striker mode so at least try 2 up top and go for it. And that's 2 strikers. Not one striker and someone else in the hole as a supporting number 10. We need to adopt other options as it clear to see that what we are doing now is not working.
  3. Didn't watch the game and after reading the report online, I'm glad. The saddest aspect about this whole debacle is that I've got to the stage where I'm not even angry any more. Defeats don't register the way they used to. I'm not sure if I'm just getting numb to all this as it has become a regular occurrence or maybe getting older has made me just apathetic.
  4. Is the manager trying to get sacked? Or is he trying a back 3?
  5. Cerny out. Jefte on bench.
  6. Considering the fragile mentality displayed by our team at the moment, I would suggest getting the first goal is the only way of giving ourselves a chance of winning. It made such a difference to our overall performance Vs Malmo and FCSB.
  7. That's also what stood out to me.
  8. The player trading model will only work (consistently) with a successful team winning trophies and major games on a consistent basis. No one is interested in players from teams that finish second. Are the costs related to new EH and the development of the Copeland Road development factored into this?
  9. Games that follow European games have been historically lacklustre affairs and this was never more evident than the dip in standards in our recent home game versus Hibs (after our superb win in Malmo). IMO, that is our main target tomorrow (beyond the 3 pts). We need to replicate the same desire and energy in our domestic games and build on the positives from Thursday. Albeit a totally different challenge from FCSB, we need to show St. Mirren no respect whatsoever and go for them from the first whistle. I feel that it's a no brainer. Players showing energy, speed and tempo = engaged and excited fans. Let's continue to build some momentum for Wednesday. ---------Butland-------- ----Souttar--Propper---- Nana---------------Jefte -----Barron---Raskin---- --------Diamonde------- Cerny-----------Berjami ---------Igumane-------
  10. Kilmarnock weren't very good on Sunday but they won. You can only beat who is in front of you. FCSB beat POAK away from home last time round and they are second in the Greek league at the moment. Several places above Olympiakos. That suggests they are of a decent enough standard.
  11. Both were correct decisions. The player stands on Butlands foot (and if we are talking about the same penalty incident) there is a rule regarding an arm whilst on the floor.
  12. 100% agree. I was simply using Diamonde as an example of our bipolar nature as fans. Cerny was equally poor a few weeks back (and Sunday) and he also stood out last night. I feel we just need to show a little patience with this group of players. Remember how Sima was viewed in the first month of his Rangers stint last season. Look how that turned out.
  13. Sadly I'm going in to this game with very little expectation. Especially when I read that FCSB have a few quick options in attack. The line up is predictable and will only highlight the bipolar nature of our fan base at the moment. Sunday...Diamonde is rubbish... Thursday...we really miss Diamonde in midfield...
  14. Sima played a huge part in Clements initial good spell IMO.
  15. We don't have that.
  16. Did Souttar not play in a 3 for Hearts or maybe Dundee United? I may be mistaken.
  17. After yesterday I wouldn't rule it out...
  18. Why would it be worse?
  19. I genuinely wish Clement would at least try something different. Why not go 3 at the back yesterday with big Kasa and play two up top? The lack of flexibility is the biggest red flag for me. Oh and the the lack of desire in the players. And the lack of tempo. And the lack of aggression...etc etc...
  20. This won't be lost on anyone with half a brain cell and a pair of functioning eyes. At least if we could see something different and new that we could hold on to, the fans would be more patient. All we get is slow and ponderous football with no tempo with round pegs in square holes. We've seen this movie too many times since Gerrard left.
  21. I'm genuinely struggling to stay on board the Clement train at the moment. Persisting with players that are clearly miles off the pace and sticking to this rigid formation that clearly does not work is bad enough but the players don't look like they care. They look like they lack desire and hunger. That lies at the managers door IMO. I do really have my doubts. Another sobering fact from today. Dundee United are currently 1pt behind us in 4th place.
  22. Does it really matter?
  23. I think you are being kind. That supposed pass on a potentially dangers 3 v 2 counter was abysmal.
  24. Tav awful. Dessers awful. Playing with 9 men. Get big Kasa on for Tav and Hamza on for Dessers.
