Agreed. I have to be frank and say that the notion of getting remotely excited for a home match v Dundee Utd. is miles away at the moment. The last three games have not just burst my bubble of optimism, they have obliterated it. I struggling to see where this team goes from here.

Very weird atmosphere. Not going to help us at all. 

Real Madrid V Celtic proved a few things IMO.

1. Real Madrid hardly got out of 2nd gear yet looked they were playing a totally different sport.

2. Celtic are definitely a first half team when faced with decent opposition. Our last games against them last year and their feeble European exploits proved it. Last night cemented it. They run out of out stamina (and ideas) when teams go toe to toe with them.

My BT connection was lagging half way through the 2nd half but to be honest our players were so slow I couldn't actually tell the difference.

That statement doesn't excuse an uninspired performance though, the least I expect from any Rangers team is 100% effort and commitment. If the manager can't get that from his players, it's clear his time is up. 

 

Historically we can point to very good Rangers teams struggling in the CL and looking out their depth and losing heavily home and away. In fact, apart from 1992-1993 and 2008 we've been constantly abysmal in Europe. The last 4 seasons bucked that trend but looks like all that good work has been undone.

 

Huge game on Saturday and it's a must win - anything other than a victory must see GVB removed from his position as the league will be over before its even begun.

Born Barasic's reaction when he thought he had scored to make it 3-1 summed it up. Did he run after the ball and place it on the spot? Nope. He looked deflated and just strolled back with almost zero pjayers celebrating. That was with 20 minutes to go.

8 goals conceded is bad enough but we have barely had a shot at goal during those 2 games. That is equally worrying.

Only caught the 2nd half but it looked like Saturday has all but destroyed any confidence we may have left. The players look like they genuinely don't believe in what they are meant to be doing. I presume we practice from the back in training with no-one pressing? We simply pass the ball wide to the full backs only for the ball to return to the goalie to punt it. What am I missing?
