One problem we have with buying players from the likes of Aberdeen and Hibs is they'll charge us more.

I didn't want Ferguson, mainly because of the utter drivel his dad and uncle spout via Scotland’s tabloid media.  The whole family can sod off, as far as I'm concerned.

What a weird comment. You do know that Sam Lammars uncle once stated that Rembrant was an amateur and Johan Cruyff was overrated. Get him to f**k based on your logic.

Perhaps, but there is something ‘cheat mode’ about the city and PSG approach. When Real Madrid, Liverpool or Bayern win it, it feels more organic. Just big clubs being at the top. Yea they have money and top managers but it’s not the same.

For me City winning it has detracted from what a great job Inzaghi and Inter did getting there. A team with decent resources yes but a few old guys on loan and a bit of a good run of form they won’t be likely to recapture in the next 20 years. A remarkable run from them and in many ways a bigger achievement than Ciry winning it all.

Actually if anything City have underperformed in Europe for years. Pep also underperformed in Europe at Beyern. He left there and they improved.

There is nothing organic about how Real Madrid have operated to ensure their top table status. Let's not forget their rather dubious property deal in 2003/4 which cleared nearly 200 million of debt and bankrolled the Galacticos. The ghost of Franco in the room when all deals were signed.

Well, it's a watershed moment for football..this teams now immortal (or immoral, depending on your view).

Plug the greatest coach of the last 20 years into a team with unlimited resource and he sweeps up, who knew. I appreciate the relentlessness of it but I think, if it wasn't already, the games gone.

I get the money argument (to a point...) but 8 EPL teams spent more than Man City this season and won nothing. Regardless of how much you spend, you still need a real manager to harness a teams talents. Look at Chelsea this season.

  4. Is an out and out striker who will score 25 plus goals going to fit into Beales plan? Last season we scored more goals than we did during the 55 season so we must be doing something right (despite misfiring in so many games). I think if we add another 10/15 goals and cut out the catastrophic mistakes at the back we won't be far away. That's why I trust Beale when it comes to getting the right players for HIS team. For example, in the right team, Colak would score 25 plus but we are not that team. I see us having a glut of players next season who will score 10 goals plus as opposed to one striker who will bang in 30 goals.

Ah, the annual kit meltdown thread(s). As I usually say, I'm not the demographic the top us aimed at, and as it doesn't affect performance on the pitch, I'm non-plused.

Those who are gonna buy it will buy it, those who aren't, won't.

My own personal opinion? Seen better, seen worse.

P*ss off Cammy. Don't you rain on my kit meltdown parade!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Apologies for over thinking the strip thing but I'm a strip nerd. I just wish our strips looked a wee bit more professional than the generic fare we get given.

I'm pretty sure the one on the sneak preview will be the 'pro' version and the one in the 'leak' will be the replica.

The pro usually retails around £110-£130 and the replica is the main one that costs around £55-£70

Was hoping better than this seasons poor effort but based on that pic, Castore have lowered the bar further.

  7. The strip on the sneak preview has a completely different jacquard design from the leaked pic. Maybe the leaked one is hopefully fake as that looks cheap as hell.

Returning to the original post(St Boo 0 Rangers 3) it was good to see us finishing the season strongly.

5 wins out of 5 post split were denied by a late, late goal by hertz last Wednesday in time added on upon time added on(4th official showed 3 mins & they scored in the 94th)

Since the turn of the year there have been some encouraging signs……

Both the Cantwell & Raskin signings have been good so far.
McCrorie has shown he might be able to replace McGregor(if he can stop flapping at crosses)

Souttar has been exceptional since coming into the side. So much so maybe Goldson might start to get worried if we sign a left sided CB to replace Davies who may head back south if the rumours I’ve heard are true. The only concern about Souttar is whether he can play 50 odd games per season.

Sakala seems to have found a bit of goal scoring form.

RidvannYilmaz  looks comfortable at LB although if Galatasaray make a decent offer(as rumoured) he might go

MB has made a good impact by steadying a rudderless ship. We ended up with 92 league pts which in most normal leagues ( other than the SPFL) we would’ve been champions. However MB does need more OF wins. Had we got Cantwell & Raskin signed earlier in January they might have started the LC final. Maybe that’s something our ex-DoF could tell us about.

A few good signings over the summer & we’ll be better prepared for the new season than we’ve been for the past 2. And(hopefully) we won’t need to make it 3IAR changing the manager 3 or 4 months into the new season. 🤓

I think things look positive. I can at least see what Beale is trying to do by what's happening on the pitch, who he has already signed and who we are being linked with. Beale obviously likes a flexible "hybrid" type player.

I think Beale has gained 59 pts from a possible 69 since arriving. That's not bad for a manager coming in mid season. If we can iron out those bumps we won't be far away next season IMO.

Begs the question, how much more can we realistically score? Because it does seem like we miss sitters game in game out.

Or maybe we're not seeing the wood for the trees with this team, might be that we just need to get back to the 55 'you shall not pass' attitude in defence and in goal.

Don't think we're miles away from a title to be honest.

Agree about the goals against column. That's where the major difference lies.
