Cifuentes deal seems to have stalled. Are we waiting for him to come in when his contract expires?

Our defence slightly concerns me to be honest. I know much of the focus has been on revitalising the attacking positions, but our back 4/5 will start with some new faces (Butland, Sterling, another) and some with with very few starts (Ridvan, Souttar). Goldsons injury is a huge concern as is Souttars. The quality of our defence will make or break our season IMO. I'm also hoping Butland will add extra security off his line compared to last year (no offence Alan...)

For what its worth,  Cifuentes was back on the bench last night for LAFC vs LA Galaxy. He came on as a 2nd half sub and was involved in LAFC's goal.

Cmon TF. Announce the big man. 

I like the look of Dessers (based on what I've seen on YT). He reminds me of a more robust looking Roofe. And hopefully less injury prone.

As much as we are rightly refreshing/rebooting our front line (Dessers, Lammars, Sima plus another) our biggest issue last season was goals conceded. It seems to be rather overlooked but we hit more goals last season than we did during our 55 season so we must be doing something right. If we can get the goals against column down substantially, we won't be far away IMO. 

I can't see us getting a striker that scores 25 plus but playing more with a system that allows 4/5 players getting into double figures.

I see Cifuentos was not playing for LA last night. Not even listed on the bench. I read that he is free to talk to clubs from July 1st? Hopefully signs of an imminent agreement?

It looks like it wasn't a case of Danilo or Dessers but both if we are making bids for one and nearing the completion of the other.

No need to be sarcastic Rousseau. I was only asking if you knew more about the player (Dessers) as I don't have a clue about him.

Cool. With all these potential signings, I have to go with Beale on this. I had doubts about Cantwell based on what I had read but look how that turned out. It's clear that Beale has a clear idea of what he wants so we need to trust him I suppose.

And other than score goals, he doesn’t do much. He's similar to Colak in that way, which is fine but if you're only contributing goals, you need to be exceptional at that and he's not; he's alright, but not exceptional.

Have you watched him extensively Rousseau? I don't know much about him so it would be good to hear from someone with more info. 

Far nicer than the away strips from the last few years. Especially that hideous orange thing and the fake Monaco strip. This one is simple and effective IMO.
