  1. Could we go with a 3 on Saturday for extra protection? Balogun, Souttar and maybe Lundstram stepping in. Might also help the FB's.
  2. Perfect Saturday evening wishlist... 1. Rangers win. 2. New players contribute/score. 3. We keep a clean sheet. 4. No-one gets injured. 5. Bottle of 19 Crimes Cab Sauv. I've already got one sorted, now it's up to you Ranger's...
  3. This worries me. I think most fans would have a similar opinion but I hate going into any games with the notion that one team would be an easier opponent than the other.
  4. Your basing that on opinion of his football skills. Every player under contract is an asset and has sell on potential whether you rate them or not.
  5. I don't think many were expecting him to start in our preferred XI but the season is long and we will need a good squad. He could also turn out to be a good sub option as our bench last season was generally very weak. He's pacey and that could factor into games after the 65/70 minute threshold.
  6. But the Matisse actually sells. Is this not based speculation and "market values".
  7. It should be about the money. He is our asset (who is under contract), therefore we should be getting the highest price possible for him.
  8. My starting XI would be... --------Butland--------- ---Souttar---Balogun--- Tav--------------Ridvan ---------Raskin--------- ---Dowell----Cantwell-- ---------Lammers------ ----Danilo---Dessers---
  9. Considering Jota went for over 20 million I would holding out for at least 6/7 million from a Saudi club.
  10. Interesting to note that Dessers didn't make anyone's starting XI...
  11. Too early...? Have a mixed cocktail of nerves/trepidation/excitement and its only Tuesday. Feckin hate pre-season with avengeance! Who will start? Who's fit? After pre-season we seem to be in the land of Johnny Nash with "More questions than answers..." PS. Mods please feel free to sparkle your collective goldust on this most basic of threads with appropriate titles etc...
  12. I see Kent scored on his competitive debut for Fenerbache in 5-0 Europa Conference League romp. I also read that they might loan him out as they are buying more wide players. Not sure about the truth of the latter...I think it came from the Turkish equivalent of the Daily Record...
  13. Saw a few pics regarding the stadium design and Leitch etc. Most of the other images have focused on the shop as opposed to the actual museum.
  14. That would be a good option. We genuinely need the luck of the draw when it comes to the CL.
  15. It's a hard one tbh. I noticed that Liverpool have suffered defensively over the last few seasons with teams playing quick balls beyond their attacking full backs.
  16. I don't agree regarding Europe. Simply qualifying for the CL with the prospect of getting 6 doings (22/23) does nothing for me. Give me the Europa League and potential winnable games any day (21/22). Call me defeatist if you may but I'd rather be realistic about where we are.
  17. Rangers should always prioritise the league therefore that must be our primary goal this season. A league win followed by some stability, foundations and foresight to learn from 55 would also be preferable. With regards to Europe, it has to be the Europa League for me. The CL is out of our reach at the moment and I fear regular goings over are more detrimental in the grand scheme of things. Going toe to toe with teams that we can beat will help build more confidence and momentum. Cups...I genuinely couldn't care less about the cups unless they are welded onto a league win. I get the overall trophy haul thing with the Tims but FFS St. Johnstone won two cups in a year.
  18. Wright? I thought he was back in Turkey? Where's big John? Daniel on the bench...
  19. Should be an interesting game. Hoffenheim have also had a rather underwhelming pre-season so far with defeats to Strasbourg and Bundesliga 2 team. Will be looking for signs of what we can expect v Killie next week in todays line up.
